Fantastic kit for low cost.
We needed a quick storage solution for a car journey and don't have the storage space at home for a full roof box.We ordered this feeling that £40 it was cheap enough if it was only good enough for one trip. Wow, this is incredible quality for such a low cost. Tough, durable and sizeable. It fit the car perfectly and is fully waterproof. As others have mentioned the straps are a little fiddly and we probably will invest in some ratchet straps for future uses.Love how compact it folds up meaning it's easy to store (it comes with a storage bag) and it will now see regular use on future trips! VERY impressed. The only thing to note is that if you drive an EV, it does impact the range a little but we will experiment with positioning the items inside and how we strap it to see if we can improve the aerodynamics!

Rooftop cargo bag
This is an amazing product. Very easy to attach to roof and holds loads. Covered zip. Material is quite thick and waterproof. Found it much better than a roof box for storing when not in use. It folds down and has its own little storage bag. Bargain for the price. Definitely recommend

Cheap, big and packs down small
Positives:-fantastic small bag makes storage easy- thick waterproof material (not tested)- no zip issues- thick straps with buckles. Secured longways and width ways- used with inflatable Handirack bars- fitted small car (vw golf)Negatives:- adjusting the straps is so awkward and fiddly. It doesn't work like a ratchet strap and instead I spent ages pulling/threadint/hurting my fingersNotes:-the straps go on the top of the bag!- words go at the back- haven't tested in rain- tuck in all loose ends to minimise noise

Great product
Travelled a few hours using this with zero issues. It held all our luggage and kept it dry. Very reasonable cost. Highly recommended

Spacious bag and easy to use
This bag saved us a lot of extra cost and hassle when our main family car broke down just before we were going to go on holiday. We had to use our smaller 2nd car, a mid sized hatchback (Audi A3), with this bag to fit everything instead. The car we were using didn't have roof rails or anything but I managed solve the issue with some 'cargo roof hook straps' that hook onto the insides of the door frames by pulling the door seals down and then pushing them back up onto the hooks once fitted. It was easy to fit straight onto the roof once I'd got the cargo hooks sorted. I didn't bother with a pad between the car and the bag but will probably by one for next time just to protect the car better - but fortunately the car wasn't damaged. The bag took 2 large hardshell suitcases and some hand luggage no problem at all.The bag appears to be waterproof as claimed (as it rained for nearly the entire 3 hours we were travelling, both at the beginning and end of the holiday).I'm sure the straps attached to the bags would've been fine on their own but because they all had clip catches to secure them to the vehicle I ran a load strap diagonally over the bag for extra security. The only disadvantage of a bag over a box is security of the load, as a box can be locked but the bag cannot.NOTE: this bag is quite big, and much bigger than the standard gap between roof bars on cars with fixed mounting points. If you want to use it with roof bars (i.e. if you don't have roof rails it can be strapped to on your vehicle) I'd recommend buying a roof basket to rest it on.

Not as waterproof as advertised
I bought this bag for a 5 hour journey with my wife and 5 kids so needed the extra space, the bag had plenty of room inside to fit everyones belongings and clothes. The straps also bolted this thing down to the roof, although, I did buy extra straps just incase. Halfway into our journey, it started raining, that didn't phase me as the bag is advertised as waterproof. When we got to our destination and unpacked the bag, some items of clothing were wet, I put this down to having the bag open in the rain whilst I unpacked it.The return journey was much the same in terms of weather, only this time, all items of clothing that were at the bottom of bags were all soaking wet, which leads me to believe that the bag is not as waterproof as stated. On a plus note, the bag stated secure on the roof and the only real sound I could hear was from the loose unused straps. If it wasn't for the soaking wet clothes on the return journey, I would have definitely given 5 stars.

A practical and compact alternative to roof boxes.
I used the rooftop cargo bag on a trip to Ireland recently and it held up really well. I needed some extra space but didn't want to pay for a roof box and bars and the price point for this made it a really viable alternative. The bag itself is easy to fit although you need to take care with the straps to ensure they are both tight and that they are adjusted so that there is no loose ends (i.e. you need to move the plastic clip towards the bag as far as it will go). I found if the straps weren't totally tight they would vibrate and bounce off of the roof making a lot of noise.I used this without cross bars just strapping it to the cars own roof bars and was absolutely fine although I think I would like to use them next time for additional security. The bag did move slightly back on the roof after a long motorway stint but not enough to cause any concern. The bag itself is water proof, I travelled on the roof of the ferry with it fitted and through some heavy rain and had no water ingress at all. It does get hot inside in the sun though so don't store anything temperature sensitive inside it.I managed to fit a large suitcase, a travel cot, and two backpacks into the bag. The bag wasn't totally full at this point so it could have fitted more if needed. It's not very practical to move around when it has heavy objects in it, and you need to remove all of the straps to open it so it's only really useful for items you won't need access to until you reach your destination. It also has no security, although you can fit a padlock through the zips as a deterrent. It won't stop someone just removing it however.Overall I'm really happy with it. I can really live with the faults I've found given how much cheaper it is than a roof box.

95% waterproof
I bought this to put on the roof of my 16 plate Vauxhall Mokka. I also had roof rails and the bag was a little big for it with the roof rails on.It wasn't the easiest to fasten. It didn't look as neat as the photos when fastened 🙈 Loosening the straps takes a bit of brain power to work put, which I managed. This made it extra secure.I saw in the photos that people seemed to fasten the side straps so then fastened on the inside of the car, on the 'ceiling'. The straps weren't long enough for me to do that. There was mixed views about waterproofing. I drove along the motorway in a cloudburst that lasted about half an hour. When I got home, I checked the suitcases inside and they were bone dry. When I took the suitcases out to expose the bottom of the cargo bag, that was damp, however the cases weren't wet. I imagine rain was blown under little gaps above the car roof and cargo bag.Would I recommend it? Possibly, it's just the 'neatly' and ease of fastening part I couldn't figure out. My brother in law had a different type and his looked far easier, and quicker to fasten. He got his from Amazon aswell.

Awesome product
This is the most awesome product I have ever bought from Amazon. I put it on my SUV roof and did a road trip of 3000KMs. Traveled through all kinds of road and weather in plains as well as hills. Did not face a single issue/botheration with the luggage. Not a single grain of dust went inside the bag, my luggage looked as good as new when I got them out of the bag. Initially it took me 45 minutes to figure out the best way to place the luggage and get it safely loaded and secured. 2nd time onwards I started getting more efficient and finally it was taking us 15 mins to secure luggage and 5 mins to unload. The quality of materials used is top grade - very strong and robust. The zips are very strong and appear waterproof. The extra flap on the zips with Velcro fastening ensures no water slips through. The Nylon ties and buckles are also very strong and helps to secure the bag firmly on the roof carrier. Doesn't move a millimetre once buckled. I carried three heavy suitcases and couple of small duffel bags in it.Note: This bag cannot be used without roof rails/carrier - the straps need to pass around the rail and come back to the latch. Even if you manage to secure the bag in some innovative way, the danger of your car roof getting dented by the weight of the luggage is always there. So without roof rail or carrier you shouldn't use this bag.

Borsa porta oggetti dall'ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo
Insomma, promossa a pieni voti.

Everything stayed dry
After looking at several car top carriers and reading reviews I chose this carrier, and to be honest I chose one of the cheaper (in price) toppers. Not bad at all! This carrier has eight tie down straps that are sewn to the bag, two in the front, two in the back, and two on each side. The straps are nice and long. I adjusted them where I wanted them and then wrapped the excess with some duct tape which I then tucked under the carrier. This way no noisy flapping loose ends.I really liked the zipper cover. It’s nice and wide and covers the zipper completely. The most important thing to me was that nothing got wet! This thing worked great! Overnight rain storm in New Mexico, nothing wet.Travel on the highway was great. I checked the straps and seams daily because I have had less than pleasant results from other carriers. For the price this carrier is a great deal. It’s very durable, it’s held up very well, and most importantly, it’s water resistant. It does have the Amazon logo on the front and back, but that doesn’t bother me. What I wanted was something that would hold up on long road trips and that would keep my stuff dry, but wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg.

Good price, worked well.
Used for a road trip to Oman; it meant that we could fit 7 of us in the car and not have to hire another one. Worked really well. I bought some non-slip mats from carrefour to protect the roof of the car. Very happy so far; haven’t tested over multiple uses or in rain.
