High quality air purifier
The BlueAir 211 Max air purifier was very easy to set up and seems to be keeping the air clean through the LR, FR and Kitchen and hallways in our house. The controls are very intuitive and easy to use as is the associated app. The purifier is heavy enough that you may not want, or depending on strength, be able to move it around very much. It is very quiet on the low and medium settings but gets more noisy for the next two settings. However, it is no more noisy than the purifiers from a different manufacturer that we have in the bedrooms. I would rate it as quite noisy on the maximum setting but having that setting available was very helpful during the Canadian wildfire smoke time. It has been great for my allergies especially as we move into hayfever season. The price we paid was very reasonable for the value received.

Highly Recommend, Best in Class, but Has Flaws
Best air purifiers I have ever had in my life- so good that I bought one and then another 3 days later and we are going on 1.5 years with 2 now. I am not a freebie or paid reviewer or whatever and I stand behind the 211 as an awesome product. I told my HVAC guy that I didn't think my airflow was right because my filters were almost new looking and he said everything was fine- you're just clean livin'. Nope. Messy as hell and I have 2 rescue cats. That was hilarious. Dust/dander was almost gone and allergies down big time for sure. OK, negatives: their filters are way too expensive especially if you have multiple unit replacements- for sure look into those costs before you buy. The carbon filter layer is very skimpy and probably a marketing tool; I buy filters with 10x more carbon for my cats' litter box and Blue Air needs an improvement here considering the cost of the filter. The app is ok, but I found it to be unnecessary- don't bother if you are app focused. It's loud on its highest level, but level 3 gives a good white noise. One of the 2 units has a fan hum that it didn't start with and that the other doesn't have, so worried about motor longevity. My overall review is that this is the best product in its class and I highly recommend it.

BLUEAIR is WORTH THE PURCHASE
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Breathed the Difference Within Hours – Worth Every Penny!** I don't usually take the time to write reviews, but this air purifier absolutely deserves one. The **BLUEAIR Blue Pure 211i Max** has exceeded every expectation. From the moment I plugged it in, it was incredibly easy to set up, and within just a few hours the air in our home felt noticeably fresher. Dust, lingering odors, and that "stale house" feeling were dramatically reduced. Even after cooking or having guests over, the air clears much faster than I ever expected. What impressed me most is how **quiet** it is. On the lower settings, I honestly forget it's running, yet it's constantly cleaning the air. The Auto Mode is excellent—it ramps up when it detects changes in air quality and then quietly settles back down once the air is clean. The app is simple to use and gives helpful insights without being overly complicated. We purchased this for a large living area, and it has handled the space with ease. If you have pets, allergies, seasonal pollen, or just want cleaner air for your family, this unit is a game changer. The washable fabric pre-filter is a nice touch, and the overall design actually looks modern instead of looking like another bulky appliance sitting in the corner. The biggest surprise? We wake up feeling less congested, there's noticeably less dust collecting on furniture, and the entire house simply feels cleaner. Yes, it's an investment—but when you consider the quality of the air you breathe every day, it's one of the best purchases we've made for our home. If you're on the fence, stop debating. Buy it. Your lungs—and your family—will thank you.

Yeah, it's expensive, but, it's worth it.
WELL WORTH THE PRICE! I know it's expensive. It's worth it. We live in a 1,600 sqft condo. We put this in the kitchen area high up which is open to the dining room and the living room. The sensor is insanely sensitive. For any of you that have or do live in apartments/condos you know how much fun it is to cook because the fire alarms are set to some ridiculously sensitive setting and immediately go off it you even so much as mention you are going to brown something. With this air purifier in the kitchen high up, the moment even some steam rises this thing switches to some turbo mode. You can feel the air moving. The fire alarms never go off and it removes any smells from cooking. Then when cooking has finished it goes back to its normal sound of dead silent. You can't hear it when it's in its lowest mode. Just set it to auto and ignore it. The one draw back: the replacement filters are stupidly expensive and I haven't found an aftermarket brand yet. But I'd still recommend it!

Powerful, Autospeed, Keeps Air clean, Removes Cooking smell and smoke too
We heat our home with a wood stove, so in order to keep the amount of dust to a minimum I've invested in a whole house air purifier. It is rated for twice the square footage, which is better than underrated. My reasoning logic here was very simple: if I bought a purifier rated for a much larger house, it would not have to work as hard and could run at lower RPMs, hence be more quiet. And that is precisely what happened. I like this unit. It allows me to set up the fan speed manually (4 speeds) or put it on Auto where it measures particles in the air and adjusts its speed accordingly (I use auto mode 99% of time and just forget about it). This BlueAir can switch between measuring 1, 2.5 or 10 microns and shows you the actual particle readout in real time. When in the lowest setting, the fan noise is barely perceptible and your house has to be really quiet for you to hear it, whereas the fastest speed will let you know for sure this thing is cranking out some serious air. At 4 speed, it is a bit louder than a furnace. The good thing is: it doesn't last long and the unit powers itself to a lower setting within a minute or two. This is very obvious when we cook and the there are odors - the unit will quickly spool up and once the particles drop down to safe levels (below 5 ppm), it goes back to the lowest setting. I really like this feature. It keeps the air clean, removes pollen too, so our seasonal allergies are not as bad when all windows are shut during peak pollen months. I can definitely feel the difference. Why 4 stars? Well, this uses a gigantic HEPA filter that comes at a price. Your wallet won't like it. I was luckily able to find an aftermarket set of two, which lasts about a year. Your mileage may vary, based on how dusty your environment is. Ours gets replaced about every 6 months. And I also handwash the cloth outer cover with every filter change. The process of changing the filter itself is very simple, tool free - you just lift the top power unit. Pull off the cloth (it has elastic bands and stretches) to hand wash it. Then lift up the HEPA filter and slide on a new one, gills facing out. Then put the clean dry cloth cover back on and rest the power head on top. Done. When I change the filter, I also take the unit's plastic frame (its very light) and blow it outside with come compressed air. I do the same with the power head, clean the fan and the top grille. Is this worth the investment, whcih is far beyond an impulse buy. If you like your sinuses and lungs, then I think so. For me and my family, it is a great investment. I filter my drinking water and decided to do the same with air. If you live in an area where your air quality is impacted by numerous wildfires (I do), then you will feel the difference during hot summer months.

One Outstanding Air Filter!
I don't think I could be more pleased or impressed with an appliance than I am with the Blueair 211i. Living in a 50 year old house that up until a year ago never had the air ducts professionally cleaned equaled a constant battle with dust. Not just dust but enough dog hair to make enough blankets for half of NYC if spun and woven. Having at least two double-coated canines at a time equals ALOT of airborne fur and dander. Researched air purifiers and decided on the Blueair 211i. While the capacity of the 211i is twice the square footage of my home, that was done on purpose. I don't plan on being canine-less anytime in my remaining time on this rock and the larger unit can help "Aussie Proof" the dust levels. Getting to the unit. Whisper quiet under normal running - don't even know it's there. Mine is in the center of the house which is between the kitchen and living rooms. Happen to start creating carbon instead of dinner? The Blueair will automatically sense the additional particulates in the air and quickly remove them. For a fast as the fan runs during one of these episodes it's still pretty quiet. The "prefilter" or outer fabric cover does a great job catching the doghair and dust on it - it's easily cleaned with a vacuum and can be thrown in the washer when needed. With the light blue prefilter on mine, after a couple of days the subtle difference in color is a visual indicator to clean it off. The prefilter takes a bit of the load off the HEPA filter inside. After five months of 24/7 use now, the HEPA filter is still in fairly decent shape. The 211i has a LED indicator on the front to give you a quick visual on the filter condition. Nice feature to have on it. Without the exterior prefilter, I'm sure I'd have had to change out the filter already. Replacing the filter is as easy as giving the top section a quarter turn and lifting the section off. Reach in, swap the filter, put the top back on and set the prefilter in place. I couldn't ask for anything easier to do. I've also noticed that I'm not coughing as much inside the house now - definitely getting the air properly filtered has had a positive health affect. The fact I've not noticed any discernable increase in the electric bill is also a positive! If you're seriously considering a top notch/quality home air filter, give the 211i a hard consideration. I've recommended it to friends and haven't lost one yet after they bought one...!

Great Air Purifier!
The 2111iMax works great! It removed food odors quickly and pollen from my home when someone had a window open. It is quiet on setting 2 which is what i have it on all the time. I like the light dimming feature, the lights can also be turned off, the touchscreen, sleep and auto mode. I love that it's AHAM Verifide: CADR 450 cfm Pollen, CADR 452 cfm Dust, CADR 435 cfm Tobacco Smoke at 674 sq. ft. The air purifier was packaged well and arrived without damage. Setup was easy but I do wish there was a way to connect the wifi without entering my wifi password such as pairing. The warranty is very good compared to most other companies. One year is included and after you register the Blue Pure Max Series air purifier on the Blueair website, they provide an additional two years. A three year warranty is decent compared to some other companies. I have had other brands of air purifiers that stopped working at the one year mark right after the warranty expired.

Easy setup and works great.
We have used two of these units for a year and a half. They are fairly quiet on the lower two fan settings. There is no rattle or any other unusual noises from the units. Just purchased replacement filters after a year and a half, very easy on Amazon. No trouble with connectivity. We don’t have an indoor air quality monitor so it’s hard to quantify how effective they are objectively. Them seem to work good during allergy season. We have cats and don’t seem to have any problem with dander or allergens. I would recommend the product although they seem a bit pricey.

Very quiet and efficient. Very happy. Excellent product. Highly recommend.
Purchased this Blueair Hepa air purifier almost a year ago and it has worked very quietly and efficiently, keeping our home air fresh and almost allergen free. (Air will never be totally allergen free due to leaky doors, windows, etc.) Noticeable difference especially with the wildfire smoke that many countries are experiencing. It is interesting to hear it automatically speed up when you are cooking something smokey. I like being able to control it or check in via iPhone. HEPA filter is combined with carbon filter to remove odours. Easy to change filter and relativity inexpensive to replace, also there are many after market filters that are cheaper if you wish to go that route. There is also a cloth pre-filter which you can remove and wash as required to extend the life of the main filter. Lighting on it is also dimmable. Very attractive and highly recommend.

Good purifier, wifi could be better
This air purifier is highly effective at controlling PM2.5 in your home. The purifier is almost silent on Auto mode or speed1, but when you need it and set it to speed 4, it gets quite loud. My only gripe is that the app is a bit finicky and sometimes gets disconnected from the purifier. One of the concerns is that this purifier has an ionizer, which is not much of a problem due to it being zero ozone certified. I verified this by using an ozone meter. Overall for $370 it’s a worthy buy especially with wildfire and cooking smoke.

Big help
Very effective, works well and easy to use. This purifyer is helping me everyday from nasty allergens from cigarette smoke. I just moved into a building with big smokers and poor ventilation. I knew about my cigarette allergy but I hadn't known how severe it had become. This purifyer is ideal for all kinds of smoke, from cigarettes to forest fire smoke, because it has a carbon filter. I leave it in automatic mode and it filters the air using very little energy to keep the air to "excellent quality". There is a light that changes color to inform us of air quality. When it's blue, I know I can breath easily. You can hook this purifyer to your Wi-fi and use special app to manage it, but it's not necessary. I'm using it without it and it's going very well. It's very quiet compare to my previous one I bought 3 years ago. The filters aren't cheap and it needs to be changed every 6 to 9 months. I haven't had to change it yet, but I'm hoping it lasts as long as possible and that there won't be any problems. I'll edit this review when it's time for a change.

I purchase two!
With wildfires in Alberta, I think my home needs purifiers. After spending a lot of time to investigate all the products in the market, I chose BlueAir. I need to say that my choice is great. It is movable, looks elegant, and functional. I already have it in my home for years and they are still very good. Oh, I say "they" because it is good so I purchase two.
