A Decent Collection
A pretty good collection with a wide range of songs from Morricone. The only big issue that I have with this collection is that the version of the For a Few Dollars More theme is not the original for some reason that is beyond me. As far as I can tell the Fistful of Dollars and The Good the Bad and The Ugly themes are the original. I understand much of the original music for the dollars trilogy is lost but it seems like they could've ripped the theme from the title sequence without too much issue. I can't speak too much to the completeness of the collection as I haven't seen nearly all of the movies Morricone has composed for, but the collection is missing one of his most famous songs, The Ecstasy of Gold, which seemed odd to me but didn't bother me too much.

The master at work
Bought this for my 9 year old who was asking about the Good the Bad and the Ugly. That movie is constantly referenced in modern culture, and apparently there's some Minecraft/video game music that mimics, or is an Homage to the GBU theme song. I my son Loves it and listens to it in the car (only place with a CD player) and my 2 year old twins enjoy it too. Some of the most iconic music ever created for film is on this DVD. It's a great way to hear the music and enjoy it without necessarily having kids watch the movies which may not be appropriate.

Generally excellent except...
I was very happy to finally find this compilation but I was truly disappointed to find out that the second track "for a few dollars more" was not the original "whistled" version that I grew up loving. Instead they chose to put an orchestral version. I do not know how they, at Virgin Records, let that happen, it seems an invitation to buy another disc. The rest of the tracks are the really great music from Morricone that we are used to listen.

It will do
Wished there were more of the Western themes but I purposely selected this one to get a few tracks i especially desired. So I got what I asked for in the end.

Great music at a great price
This CD offers a great selection of the legendary Ennio Morricone's scores at a knock-down price. Some of the pieces will be familiar, whilst others may not be. In any event, even if you have some of these works on other albums, don't hesitate. This is a bargain for any film music fan.

Not enough spaghetti western tunes.
I was hoping for more of the spaghetti western classic tunes, but there are not many on this cd. Instead there are lots of choral and orchestral songs which are nice if youβre in the mood but not what I was hoping for

Wonderful
The music here has such magic; it's atmospheric, haunting, and emotive, telling its own story, often without the need for words. Beautiful.

Morricone - pure genius
Mr. Morricone can adapt a piece of music to reflect the visual content of film work most excellently (there are a few composers with this ability, John Williams being another for example) but his tracks can just as well be appreciated by putting on this album and sitting back to absorb the variations in his work.My favourites are probably the first ten tracks of this album with 'Deborah's Theme' and 'Gabiel's Oboe' being my favourites. If you are a Morricone fan then this is the album for you!
