Great looking and working kitchen bin. I am very happy with it. It also came very well packed and with pack of free bin bags.

Pretty good bin - works as it should so far (a few weeks). Bit annoying that the on/off switch is hidden and cant be accessed until you remove the top so it can fly open while you are changing the bag. Quiet! Feels a little flimsy (but that's compared to the Von Haus we had previously - no longer available as far as I can see). You do get some bags as part of the deal - but most large, readily available bin bags work fine.

This bin is such a lovely thing to have t heelongated shape is perfect takes up less space in kitchen, I like the automatic open and close feature. The capacity is also a generous size. Love the style and look of it

This bin is ok if you want a lower (as in, not very tall) metal bin with a decent capacity. This bin is one of the lowest I've seen which is why I bought it because it fits neatly under my fridge door. Considering it's low height, it has a decent capacity.The bin lid is soft-close which is really nice as there is no need to manually touch the bin lid, ever. However, the quality of the bin is nowhere near up to the standards of a quality brand such as SimpleHuman. The lid of the bin has a very large obtruding contour that, together with the hinge, means the bin must be placed at least a house brick's distance (width-wise) away from the wall. Any closer and the lid will bang with a loud clang every time you open the bin.There are no feet on the bin. There is a plastic grid under the bin which does keep the bin level as long as the entire surface that you are placing the bin on is level too. The entirety of the bottom of the bin touches the floor (there are no feet) so your floor service has to be level else the bin will wobble.This design choice together with the large, obtruding lid has required me to place a house-brick sized object behind the bin to stop the bin from moving back and clanging against the wall.A SimpleHuman bin that I have is far, far superior quality but it's more expensive. Still, if price is not an issue then SimpleHuman is by far the better choice. This Songmics bin feels incredibly cheap and low quality by comparison to a SimpleHuman bin.The container inside the bin (the black container) is a bit fiddly to remove as it will scrape along the obtruding bin lid when removing it. You don't have to remove it to change the bin liner, however, so it's not that much of an issue. If you like to remove the container from the bin though, this will be a tedious factor.All that said, this bin does the job. The bin pedal works fine so far and the soft-touch close means I don't have to touch the bin. With a house-brick sized object behind the bin, the bin doesn't move when opened and closed. It's definitely not a quality SimpleHuman bin but the SimpleHuman bins were too tall for me so I had to get this one. And this one is fine for what it is. Just don't expect it to ooze quality because it doesn't. It's functional and works as intended but that's all.

Bought this to a narrow space in my kitchen and fits perfectly. The materials used are high quality, easy to clean, and - unusually for stainless steel - no stains or fingerprints show on the surface.The mechanism is closing smoothly and the volume of the bin is large enough. For bin bags, I use Tesco's 70 L tie sting bags with 130 cm rim, fits perfectly. I can recommend this product.
