Retro Atari Flashback 8 Gold HD (Electronic Games)

If you are looking for fancy modern and sleek like graphics of today forget it, this is for people who want to re-experience, just as it was, the gaming of their youth. It really is retro. We loved it, and the price for what you got was good value. The dinky cute console doesn't take cartridge games, the games are preloaded. I loved it, and it made me feel like a kid again. It most certainly takes pride of place alongside our collection of other gaming consoles. Atari, you still rock!

Bought for Xmas for my husband. Bit of a gimmicky toy. Feels a bit cheap and like the joysticks would break easily. But also fun.

Excited to reminisce however there really is only a few games worth playing, the rest are so awful and obviously the graphics are poor because of the era. Probably use it once or twice a year!

I am very pleased with my purchase of the Atari 8 gold. Others have made comments about graphics etc. But for me I purchased the Atari for what it used to be, so didn't expect anything more. The improvement for me has been the fact that the controllers are wireless, much more convenient.

Product didn't come in box as shown on picture.. Looks like its second hand.. Wrapped in bubble wrap... It better bloody work at Christmas.. As its a present.. False advertising at its best.. Very disappointed 😥

It gets 2 stars for the good games on the device albeit missing Pacman. It loses 3 stars for the AtGames part of the product like the very cheap looking console, the controllers that feel like they're not going to last very long, the Insane decision from somebody from AtGames to put a bright blue light on the controller that flashes every time you make a movement (you play this in the dark and you get blinded by flashing blue light, yeah ok I can put a sticker over it but why should I need to do that, why did some Insane person decide this was a good Idea in the first place) Finally the menu system is convoluted using the select and start buttons to move up and down the side menu plus moving through the 12 pages of games you cannot hold left or right on the stick and zoom through the game selection fast, you have to tediously move through the games one at a time. On top of that there is no support for plugging in Sega Megadrive controllers, I tried the official 3 button, the Retro-Bit 6 button and the Hyperkin 6 button and none of them work which is a big disappointment.

So much fun playing these classic games we grew up with as teenagers. Some of the games are a little clunky, but remember the game codes were written nearly 50 years ago! Construction is ok, no problems so far.

bought this for a blast from the past smaller than expected and you will need an eu to uk adapter overall you get what you pay for.

I had an original Atari and as memorabilia it is fun. I was disappointed that the “universal” plug was not universal. I had to go and buy an adapter to plug it in to a powerpoint. Being this device was bought on Amazon Au and came from a distributor in Australia, I would expect it to have an Australian plug.

Die Spielekonsole war ein Geschenk für meinem Mann. Da er früher eine Atari Spielekonsole mit einigen Spielen hatte, war er sehr enttäuscht, dass genau diese Spiele entweder gar nicht dabei waren, oder nicht in der Qualität von früher. Alles in Allem ein enttäuschender Fehlkauf, der jetzt sein Dasein im Schrank fristet.

Es un buen articulo que tiene los juegos clasicos de cuando comenzaban los video juegos. Lo recomiendo para las personas que alguna vez tuvieron la oportunidad de jugarlo en aquella epoca.

Dubitatif au départ à la lecture des commentaires, et ravi à l’arrivée. Délicieusement régressif. Un réel plaisir de retrouver des jeux d’il y a 35 ans. Un grand nombre des 120 jeux sont en effet injouables aujourd’hui, mais il y en a encore une bonne vingtaine qui sont de très bons jeux, en dépit de leurs graphismes ou de leur conception simples. En fait, même mon fils de 8 ans a délaissé sa WIuu pour cette console et j’ai du mal à jouer quand il est là,..ou alors je joue avec lui, ce qui est aussi très sympa !

Anche se avete passato ore della vostra infanzia con il mitico vcs2600 qui non troverete che un pugno di titoli giocabili. La mancanza del paddle fa fuori tutti i fuochi che le prevedevano che qui sono difficilmente giocabili, la vetustà dei giochi e la veste grafica farà il resto, vi chiederete come avete fatto a passarci tanto tempo da piccoli però è ben fatto. Piccolo con comandi wireless e non con cavi ridicoli come altro che ti costringono a spendere subito altri soldi Una partita a Frogger o a Space Invaders come li avete giocati al bar sono un tuffo al cuore a voi la scelta se sentirvi 15 minuti come da bambino ne valga il prezzo.
