Pixie Period Disc Large
I really liked this disc, easy to use with no leaks. The disc is well made and made from of a nice smooth/soft material. I love the colour. The stem was a little too long for me but very easy to trim down and helps removal. My only issue was it put pressure on my bladder making it very difficult to wee. I have contacted Pixie Cup and they have offered to send me a smaller size to try, free of charge. They have been easy to contact via email and very friendly. Just waiting on confirmation of the smaller size being issued. Looking forward to trying that.

Great customer service when experiencing technical difficulties
I’m really impressed with the Pixie Disc and the company behind it. The instructions provided are very clear and easy to follow, which made the initial setup straightforward. I originally ordered the wrong size, which caused a few minor technical issues because the larger size didn’t fit as intended. I contacted the support team, and they replied the very next day. Their customer service was fantastic—extremely helpful and understanding. They immediately arranged for a replacement in the correct size, and it arrived very quickly. Great product and even better customer care! Highly recommended.

Easy, comfy, no leaking
What a great disc! Once you get the hang of it (after a couple uses) it's so easy to use and comfy. I bought the insertion tool too and that is very helpful. I can wear the disc for hours and no leaking. It's great, I can just go and pee when I need to and not worry about changing anything. Would highly recommend. Amazing customer service too. I emailed and they responded so quickly and offered a different size to suit my body for free!

not suitable for tilted uterus and vaginismus
Doesn't work for tilted uterus it vaginismus I got it stuck in me, the only saving grace is that it comes with a little packet of lube. I suffered internal bruising and small internal cuts on top of my period. Absolutely not worth the pain. Leaked all over the place and didn't even work.

Phenomenal customer service
I haven’t used a disc before. I’ve been using a cup for years but wanted to try a disc for the higher capacity. I went for the Pixie due to the buy-one-gift-one policy. Without sugar coating things, I had some leakage. I haven’t knocked the star rating because I really believe it’s one of those things where you just need to find the right disc for you so it’s not a product flaw so much as a fit issue. It actually worked in the reverse to what I expected - it worked really well for me at night despite Heavy flow but was leaking during the day. I contacted the customer service email hoping for some help with what I was doing wrong. They came back to me super fast and offered some tips on what could be going wrong and offered to refund or send me out another disc in a smaller size to see if that helped. No fuss, no quibble.

I would recommend. But still not fully period proof- I’m not convinced anything is!
It’s bigger than a cup but doesn’t seem to actually hold that much. Seems to overflow before it’s full. Still not heavy period proof but much more comfortable than a cup! I would recommend.

Amazing
The customer service from Pixie is literally unmatched in terms of quality. I completely misunderstood what I was ordering at first. I have a friend that has a Pixie disc, and she had ordered a bundle that came with the applicator. I ordered my disc in a rush and didn't read the listing properly - completely my fault, but I reached out to Pixie for advice on how to use the disc as I assumed (incorrectly) the disc would come with an applicator. I also (again, my fault completely) ordered the wrong size, and mentioned this in the email too. Ali from Pixie responded quickly and gave me tips, but then also offered to send me an applicator as well as a disc in a better suited size for me. They sent these within the week, and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much Ali and the Pixie team for your amazing customer service, you have no idea what it means to your customers. I'm now a firm Pixie girl.

Amazing Product + Excellent Customer Service
I have been using the Pixie Disk for the past 2 years and it has been a real life changer! I recommend it to all of my friends and anyone who will listen, lol! For a little more money upfront, I have saved hundreds of dollars that I would have spent on tampons. Once you learn how to insert it properly and sanitize it, its very easy! I leave it in all day and don't have to worry about forgetting to pack more tampons for the day, because it self empties when you use the restroom. It has made managing my period a lot easier, and it's made from medical grade silicone so I feel more comfortable about putting that in my body rather than cotton soaked with pesticides. My disk did rip recently during cleaning (which could be expected after using it solely for 2 years) but I activated the warranty when I originally bought it, so I contacted the Pixie team through their website. They immediately reached out to me that same day and once I sent them my order number, they shipped me a replacement disk! If you are trying to decide whether to order it or not, give it a chance! There is a small learning curve so take it out in the shower to begin with, but if I can figure it out, so can you! :)

Zero leaking on my heavy day!
I didn't realize it came as a whole little kit, I was so pleasantly suprised! I love that they include the canvas zipper storage case - this is so handy for storage, or for packing when you know Aunt Flo is supposed to come soon. All the little trial size cleaner and sanitizer packets are awesome! It comes with clear, pictorial instructions on how to insert and remove the disc, if this is your first time trying out a disc, and instructions on how to remove the string if you decide you don't like it (along with a sanding board to sand any rough edges it may leave when you remove it). As for the disc itself - This is the 3rd disc I have tried, and the first that can completely handle my heavy day with ZERO leaking! It took me a few seconds to figure out the right angle to get this one in, with the curved edge. Once inserted, it's very comfortable, you don't feel a thing, and I had no problems with the angle after the first insertion. I ordered the large, as I'm on my feet all day, and on my heavier day it's not always convenient to take it out, empty, and rinse, several times during the day. This completely held my heaviest day with no leaking at all. So nice to not be sitting in blood! It does auto-dump when you pee, but I had zero leaking outside of that. By the 3rd day, I felt so confident with it, I tried it without even wearing a panty liner, and got one tiny drop. I think the curved design helps it fit tighter to your body and keeps it from leaking out behind the disc. I did find if I was sitting for awhile, I occasionally had to dash into the bathroom to reposition the silicone string, but you can't feel the disc at all. NOTE: If this is your first disc, I found it took me a cycle or two with my first disc to really get the hang of getting it positioned right so it doesn't leak. If you don't make sure you get it back all the way, it will leak out behind the disc. Also, I just run my disc under warm water before inserting, and this works for me without a lubricant!

Best thing since the cup
My wife got this and so this review will be based on her opinion and written by her: I got this disc after seeing that it's something new new and different from the menstrual cups. I have been a cup user for about 4-5 yrs and felt that they are not as comfortable and leaks most of the time when on heavier days. After reading the great features of the disc, I was ready to make the switch and honestly, will not be going back to the cups. So with the disc, leaking only happens on the more heavier days (and I do have very heavy flow for the 1st 1-2 days), so I do have to wear a backup pad. I am very satisfied w/the "self-emptying" function on those heavy days. I have to say it really does self-empties every time I use the toilet on those heavy flow days. The other days, the disc doesn't leak at all, I can be rest assured that I can just keep it in there for the max 12 hrs and won't have to worry about it. The other plus about this disc is the comfort of it. After insertion, I don't feel anything anymore and it pretty much stays put the entire time until I take it out. This is a great improvement from cups because I noticed that the cups I used would slide down and cause me discomfort after a while. It's worse when I'm using the toilet. Insertion is also easier than a cup. This disc is amazing compared to the menstrual cups. For one thing it doesn't have the suction function, but instead it rests right on top of the pelvic bone under the cervix, so it pretty much catches the flow if placed correctly. It's a learning process, but pretty similar to inserting the cup. I have no significant issues inserting the disc in, only once in a while I don't always placed it in correctly and it'll be immediately noticeable because the edge will not sit on top of the pelvic bone no matter how I pushed it. One of the minus I have to say is that taking it out is much messier than a cup, but I learned that it's not so bad when using the tail to pull it out slowly, and making sure the disc stays upright. The only thing though is I noticed that the tail started to show signs of wear and tear along the entire tail stem. and I got this disc back in May (which is only about 5-6 months ago). It looks like it can break any day now and I only used the disc during my period which lasts about 6-7 days per month. So I have to say that the tail is too frail because I'm very dependent on it when taking out the disc. On the cups, I never needed the tail, and as a matter of fact, I actually trim it off because they are uncomfortable and keeps sticking out. But I'm totally dependent on the tail on this disc and it's actually very easy to tuck it in after the disc is on top of the pelvic bone. I just wish the tail is made much stronger and more durable. Now I have to be careful not to tug too hard. Overall, I am amazed with this disc. After using it, I'm never going back to the cup.

Fantastic customer service, but not the disc for me
The kit is great, customer service awesome, the disc is mostly great. My problem is that I had the string crack on TWO of these in 6 months. They are supposed to last 10 years. The first time it happened I emailed customer service and they replaced it saying that it "doesn't typically happen but can happen with more use. That being said" they sent me a new disc. But I didn't bother emailing about the second one that cracked as I think they won't be sending anymore replacements for that. If the disc is supposed to last 10 years so should the string I have to use to pull it out - and I do have to because I have a high cervix and can't reach it otherwise. So I found a different disc that has loops that aren't stretchy and should last a lot longer. This disc is great if you don't need the string or only use it to find the disc and customer service is FANTASTIC for every other thing. When I tried the cup and hated it, they sent me a disc for free.

A PRODUCT ALL WOMEN SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
I don’t know why/how I didn’t know about these 20+ years ago! Honestly, products like this should be the first line of defense young girls/women learn about. I have an average-heavy flow. The amount of time and $$ these have saved me in the last 4 months alone if enough to cover what I’d spend on feminine products in 1 month, and way more comfortable than a tampon. I no longer have to worry on long work days. There’s definitely a learning curve, and getting the disc applicator is a total game changer if you’re already used to using tampons. I have a disc in every size and don’t plan on ever looking back.
