Wow! Super effective product. Breathes new life into leather
Really brings out the shine and breathes new life into the leather. Super happy with this product and how easy it was to work with. Leaves the leather feeling soft and smelling nice. I’ve never greased shoes before but I purchased a cheap pair of boots of Vinted and hoped I could restore them. I think it’s safe to say I did that. Great product, great value for money, highly recommend 100%

Excellent
Fantastic waterproofing and conditioning for leather, love the smoky pine tar smell, the people complaining about the price, catch yourself on,you can pay £10 for a tin of Dubbin have the size of a Huberds shoe grease can,a little of this shoe grease goes along way.Only need to reproof every 3 months,it kept loggers feet dry 100 years ago in the Pacific northwest, that is testament enough.Want dry feet, buy Huberds.

Def not a poor quality product
I tried this as a test on my leather wallet and I did some research to figure out best application method and I figure 1 rough coat first minimally applied allow to air dry for a good few hrs then apply a thin second coat there u go job done this product will darken light leathers yes the grease has a scent but it’s not strong or off putting which once dry I can’t smell anything coming off leather after air drying over night the surface of leather has a tiny grease feel just noticeable but not overly greasy yes it darkened my leather wallet but if it increases my wallets longevity against the elements that’s a good thing esp moisture no one likes a waterlogged wallet let alone footwear I do like the sturdy lid seal def reassuring to have a good seal against drying out moisture contaminants remember when u open the can to give it a good stir dependant on how long your cab has been sat on a shelf as I’ve read that the ingredients over time can seperate out into layers mixing ensures you get an even distribution of wax etc Try not to get grease in grooves top area of can as it can be a bit fiddly to clean I did this myself as I used a chopstick to give my can a stir and got grease in grooves so I took the time to clean it up as I didn’t want to end up with a sticky mess down road Def like the old style label nice sized lettering instructions on back of can apparently you can use this on leather wallets jackets boots shoes gloves etc just remember this product will darken lighter leathers Thin coats is best applied by heat of your hand you can always use a lint free cloth to clean off any excess if required I air dried my test piece over night to ensure full absorption and overall I’m pretty happy with this product it melts easily with heat you only need a small amount so this can should go reasonably far def worth the expense I’ve not tested my wallet against water resistance to see if it has improved resistance any shall have to see hopefully it has I’m gonna be trying this product on my hiking boots etc that’s what I purchased this product for originally

Love it!
£18 roughly for 200 grams of wax. Quite pricey for a small tin, so you'd hope it would be worth it. Initially I was skeptical as I've tried expensive waxes before however this stuff is GREAT! I tried this product on a very old, worn pair of work boots, I've attached a picture. These boots were extremely cracked, dry and the waterproofing was wearing out. However 2 applications of Huberd's wax soaked in and it has given these boots another lease of life! The wax repeals water very well and because the wax soaked into the leather, it hasn't seemed to show any signs of wearing off in the past week I've been using these boots. And I'm very rough with these boots in my line of work so it shows how good this stuff is! I have now applied these to my other leather boots and also to a brand new pair. All retained there correct colour, repel water perfectly and it also smells really nice. Like others have said, a smoky bacon scent. Don't hesitate because of the price. I did for while and I regret I didn't buy this sooner! Its worth it and a little goes a long way. Thanks guys, a great, natural product and another happy customer :)

Good stuff, easy and pleasant to use
Easy to apply and seemingly effective at keeping the water out. I’ve applied two coats before testing it out by wearing my boots out on a few days beating. Will apply another coat soon as it’s easy and should help build up the resistance.

Excellent Product
Small pot but goes a long way. Excellent product our golf shoes and walking boots now look like new and are re-waterproofed. We warmed the pot slightly in a bowl of hot water. This makes it easier to apply and makes it last longer. Definately recommend.

This stuff is brilliant
I'm a forest school teacher and so my leather rigger boots get to meet a lot of mud and rain this time of year. I've always used dubbin (I usually leave the tin on the boiler or radiator to soften up) but this can be tricky as many dubbins are quite stiff and take a lot of application and I was looking to try something else. This product goes on really easily without being too tacky. My boot leather is soft and supple and my boots hold water really well even when in stream water. Quite an 'old school' turpsy smell to the product which I personally quite like. Tip: get as much mud off your leather boots and soles before entering the house, then I use a car sponge and a little water to remove the rest of the mud. Allow the boots to dry in a dry, warm but not hot location (not near radiators or heaters - the leather will crack - stuff the insides with absorbent paper if wet inside) and then use a soft brush to remove any excess dry mud or dust. I then applied this product very evenly with a cotton cloth (which is now sacrificed to be the boot cloth) all over and work especially into all stitching, seams and where the upper meets the sole. Repeat periodically until your boots are nice and supple (I re-applied this product about 3 times in 2 weeks and mine are spot-on) I'll now use once a week.

Works a treat. Lovely smell too
Best thing for my boots. I ride a motorcycle and work outdoors. Has saved my Redwing work boots.

Huberd's is the Bomb !! This stuff is great !
I recently bought a pair of Dr. Martens boots and was looking for a natural grease to treat them. This grease is absolutely perfect. Made with natural bee's wax and pine tar, there are no animal fats or tallow, no preserver additives or synthetic compounds so that means it will NOT cause detterioration of threads ( important for Dr. Martens) or cause undue stretching of leather. It is a Waterproofer and conditioner for leather. This company has been around forever and never changed their product because it's absolutely perfect just the way it is. Tried and tested with time ! The grease did not change the colour of my boots ( black) they looked shiny at first but came back to normal after it dried. the leather is more supple and there is no need to brush after application. The can will last you for a really long time as it doesn't take much to treat a pair of boots or shoes. You can use your fingers or a cotton cloth if you prefer but it's totally safe. It smells like a old campfire when you apply it but the smell doesn't stay and it's easy to wash off hands. I highly recommend this product, I am so happy with it !

Best in class!
I just retired after a 40 year career as an IBEW electrician. This will probably be the last can of Huberd's I'll ever have to buy, after going through many cans. I've been using Huberd's for a couple of decades now and can tell you it is by far the best treatment for a tradesman's work boots. Not only does it protect the leather keeping if soft and supple, but waterproofs the leather for the longest time. When the boots are new, apply a coat and allow it to absorb over night, then apply a second coat and again allow it to absorb. Wear the boots for a week and apply a third coat. Now that the leather is infused with Huberd's you won't have to reapply for a year or two. the leather stays waterproof even after getting them continuously wet, your feet stay dry.
