Saving 6: Epic, emotional and addictive romance from the TikTok phenomenon (The Boys of Tommen)

The whole series is heartbreaking and emotional and just makes you feel everything. One of the best I've read, it's real and funny and sad. I adore Joey and Aoife.

I thought I wouldn’t be that into Joey and Aiofe’s story - I’m really looking forward to Gibsie’s one - but this is possibly one of the most beautiful love stories I have ever read. I don’t remember the last time I stayed up until 5am trying to finish a book, but this one is worth the sleepless nights!

One day that girl is going to be his.I've put off Saving 6 since reading the first two in this series over a year ago. If you know this series, you know the heartbreak that comes with them and I just needed to prepare myself for that. Unsurprisingly, I'm now annoyed at myself for leaving it so long as yet again I have ended up completely attached to the characters.I will admit it took me a little while to get into this one. It follows several years of Joey and Aoife being in school and their little interactions together which I did enjoy reading but I could have done with some being cut out to be honest, it was just a bit too much back story building.Once we got to more intense things happening, my heart was stomped on. Aoife's care and love for Joey whilst he is falling apart was so beautiful and she is such a great FMC, strong willed, determined and fierce, she is exactly what Joey needs, even when he probably doesn't realise it.I loved watching their relationship and friendship grown and am keen to see what happens next, although I am expecting further heartbreak and tears.Please be aware that this series has huge triggers for domestic violence, r@pe and as$ault so be mindful of this when picking up the series.

When I tell u I was sooo excited to read this I mean it with my whole heart this books was speechless like the trauma in it felt so real and with everything else happening words can’t describe how much i loved this book this book is definitely very sad you need tissues for these two books and all I can say is I love them. Aoife my girl 🫶🏻

Oh my god what can I say only amazing. From start to finish I loved every second of reading this book. Aoife and joey have my 💓.. this book is so real and so relevent to what goes on unfortunately in a load of people's lives but not everyone has an Aoife to stand with them.. and Joey poor Joey, the caregiver the provider yet no one caring and providing for him. It's heartbreaking how he has been made feel when in reality he is keeping that house going but no one is helping him to keep going. Chloe you are so talented. These books really are something special all of the Tommen books are but this one is spectacular. I can't wait for the next and to see the rest of Joey and Aoife's journey.. and I can't wait to see his relationship with mammy kavanagh and for him to feel what a mother's love should really be...

My favourite author, Binding 13 & Keeping 13 are my favourite books. I can reread them over & over.I waited a while to read Joey’s book because I know it would be emotional. With lots of tough subjects that are sometimes hard to read.The way Chloe writes a story, has me so invested in these characters & so protective. When you read the words on the page, you feel all of the characters pain & emotions.Joey will forever be one of my favourite characters, he stepped up when his younger siblings needed him. Took on so much responsibility that he put himself last each time.His best friend, turned girlfriend was who impressed me the most throughout this book. She saw him, stepped up & saved him.I know the next book will have me on an emotional rollercoaster. Yet I can’t wait for Joey to get his happy ending.

check triggers🤍WHAT A JOURNEY OMFJCIWKSGSVG and i loved every second of it! my heart was not prepared for how hard and fast i would fall for joey lynch, but here i am. watching joey spiral was so heartbreaking, the lives in this book / series have me in a complete chokehold. the writing is INCREDIBLE, flawless perfection. these characters feel so real to me, i INHALED this absolute beast of a book — like a woman possessed i couldn’t stop reading!! aoife and joey, what an epic start to their story. i’m so so excited for redeeming 6, the way this book ended my heart was literally in my butt. I LOVE AOIFE AND JOEY SO MUCH.reading the acknowledgements made me teary🥹🫶.

Loved this story. The series is amazing. However the kindle version I have has so many mistakes in it. Missing words or wrong words. Really bad editing, don’t know how so many mistakes have gone unnoticed. It has been off putting.

I can’t possibly wrap this book up in a small review without giving away too much.I knew after Binding and Keeping that Joeys story was going to hurt me, but I did not prepare myself for THIS. I am having chest pains at what I just read, crying in da club NOT OKAY.Aoife is an incredible female character. I love her personality and her loyalty. She is going to stick with me for a long time after this series is over.I miss my babies. If you are a fan of the Addicted Series (see- Loren Hale) you are going to LOVE Joey Lynch.

I loved the glimpses we got of Joey in Shannon and Johnny’s books and knew immediately that I wanted his story. Saving 6 is an emotional rollercoaster of a book. Light and funny at times, and completely heartbreaking during others.Joey is a unique character with many layers. Love for his family is what motivates him but is also cause for his destruction. He’s fiercely loyal, completely selfless, and good to his core, while putting his own health and safely at risk and maybe even sacrificing his own happiness along the way.Joey and Aiofe have a complex relationship that is uniquely them. They are devoted to each other as friends first then lovers, and become tangled up in each other’s lives throughout their time at school. I thought the banter between Johnny and Gibsie was top notch, but the back and forth of Joey and Aiofe was everything I never knew I needed.We know what happens to the Lynch family from reading Binding and Keeping, but experiencing it through Joey’s point of view gave me an entirely new perspective and added depth to this heartbreakingly beautiful story.I love these characters. I feel like they are a part of me, and that’s the power of Chloe’s writing and storytelling. I’ll be taking a bit of a pause before diving into part two and hope to go right into Taming 7 in just a few weeks!

Acho que nada descreve mais esse livro para mim do que a palavra “intensidade” o livro tem uma carga emocional absurda que te faz entrar tanto de cabeça na história que vc se sente tão mal e sentida pelos personagens. O vício do Joey e tudo que ele passa dentro da sua cabeça e em casa é narrado de uma forma exemplar que faz a gente sair de uma bolha que fomos inseridos sobre os estereótipos do vício e de como uma pessoa precisa reagir a um lar abusivo, pq simplesmente todas as suas questões são retratadas de uma forma tão profunda que parece que está acontecendo com um familiar nosso que a gente só quer abraçar e enfiar em uma bolha segura (tal qual a Aoife queria fazer com ele). Por outro lado temos uma das personagens femininas mais surreais já feitas, Aoife que não se deixa ser atacada e humilhada por ninguém pois o que ela aceita é sobre as normas dela e de como isso a afetará a longo prazo, além da forma que ela consegue compreender as situações que o Joey tá inserido é impressionante, a empatia dela é uma das coisas mais linda sobre ela e apesar de tudo ela ainda consegue impor seus próprios limites sobre as situações. Por mais que o final tenha acabado de uma forma crítica e triste a gente percebe o quão incrível a autora foi em mostrar as nuanças de um relacionamento diante um vício, pois é mostrado a dualidade entre ser a pessoa viciada e ser a pessoa que observa o outro se perdendo no vício e esse contraste é feito de uma forma muito responsável. Estou ansiosa para a redenção desse casal pq eles merecem demaiiiis e tenho certeza que a autora abordará tudo de uma forma responsável tal qual fez nesse livro em mostrar que até aqueles relacionamentos que torcemos muito pra dar certo podem se tornar tóxico mas isso não significa que tudo está perdido.
