Nice!?
I'd like to tell you that me telling you that I think that this is a good samurai sword, maintenance and sharpening kit should mean something to you I think we both know that it doesn't. Nor should it. What the heck do I know about samurai swords? This seems like a nice little kit, it's classy wouldn't be ashamed to bust it out in public, but as far as the effectiveness of what's inside? Beyond my pay grade.

Great kit for a starter or long time owner
I have owned three Japanese made blades for the last twenty years and have used many sword kits for upkeep. This is an excellent starter kit for blade maintenance and preservation and includes everything you need but a whetstone. The process is easy to find online as far as where to start for proper care using the included peg hammer to unattach the blade from the hand grip, to how to use powder polish and oil to water/rust proof the blade for exceptional presentation and preservation. At the sellers asking price this is a real bargain for any person looking for sword or blade care in general.

Beautiful & Authentic Kit for Katana Sword
Not only is this Katana Sword Maintenance Cleaning Kit useful, it's just a beautiful kit altogether! The kit is supplied in a wooden box with Japanese characters on the outside. The contents of the box all scream "authentic" and though the kit is practical for maintaining my katana sword, it makes for a pretty conversation piece. I used the kit for my sword immediately when it arrived and went through the whole cleaning and oiling process. Now the blade of my katana sword looks pristine! The kit also comes with a hammer for removing the wooden pins in the handle but I'm just going to leave those alone and admire the blade. Love this pickup!

A must-have for any sword collector
If you want to keep your blades properly preserved; then I highly recommend grabbing one of these kits. Sword collecting is not cheap, so why skip out on proper maintenance? With this kit you get everything you need to get the job done, and for under $7 it's a steal! It also comes with a pretty cool storage box that you can place next to your sword display. For the price it's a no-brainer, and I plan on getting a second kit to have for backup.

Great value - Perfect for the Martial arts student
This is a great value on a kit to maintain your sword. It has everything you need to keep the blade well preservedI don't have a real Katana, but the one I do have I value and want to preserve.I had to research how to use the kit as it comes with no instructions.I took no stars away for that because it was easy to find on the Internet.

Excellent kit
This is a very nice sword cleaning kit. I will assumed the oil is mineral oil and the powder is a light abrasive, i really wish I knew exactly what it was as some of these abrasives like cerium oxide should not be inhaled. There are no directions included so I will assume the plastic bin is to store some oil for dipping. Other than that it should be straight forward, clean sword to remove oils, polish, the oil.

Cute gift
Great to have to clean swords. Cute box that actually compliments the decor. Not too flimsy.
