Just as good as the standard size board
Love, love, love this game. I first played it with a friend on a standard size board. I enjoyed it so much that I wanted the game to play with my family. This travel board was much cheaper than the standard to I bought it thinking it would not be as good. However I am happy to report it does not detract from the game at all, it is easy to store, the pieces are easy to use and it seems hard wearing.

Azul is one of those games that is timeless, and can jump over language gaps. Its a game of shapes and pattern making, and has limitless replay-ability. This version is great because it has a plastic cover over the board, so that the tiles don't shift with breeze or a bump. This game's size also lends itself well to travel. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys board games.

Perfectly playable
You don’t lose any of the magic of the game by having smaller sized tiles! And the plastic travel tile holder and score card is amazing! I use it even when I am in the comfort of my living room.

Very fun game!
I can't compare to the original since I've never played but very happy with the portable version! It's a good game for 2+ players.

Great game, convenient size, carry bag needs a way to close.
This is a great game and the size is very convenient for taking places. I wish the carry bag had a closure so you aren't risking losing any pieces.
