Rain Sensor Hygroscopic Discs Fits for Rainbird Rain Sensor Replacement Hygroscopic Discs WR2, RSD(7 Pcs)

Worked perfectly in my 10+ year old rain sensor.

These need replacing every couple years. Perfect fit for me.

My rain sensor failed due to bad discs. After replacing, it worked as expected. Make sure you put all discs in.

Left are the original Rainbird discs (6) that have lost their ability to expand. They are dry. they would need expand slightly higher to trip the sensor.On the Right are the 8 discs in this package after fully soaking in water. Not even close to tripping the sensor.  Fully stacked these discs were a fraction of the total height of the original rainbird discs. I tried testing them until I got tired of pouring water into the sensor and finally tried soaking the discs, they still could not expand far enough to even register on the sensor. The sensor does register when I manually push it so it is working correctly. The discs are just too thin..

Saved cost by servicing my rain sensor . Easy to do. All set for a few more years. Old discs were very bad.

This is the second set I tried. Same result with this brand as my last review, discs do not expand enough to activate the sensor. This company sent 8 instead of 7 they don't expand enough even with 8. This brand looks exactly like the same cork from the other brand very thin in comparison to the originals. I've wasted about $24 on two tries at using this I should have just spent that towards a new unit. Update: 8/18/24 This seller did reach out to me and offer a refund this is only the second time this has ever happened to me in 18+ years of being on Amazon. I adjusted my rating based on very good customer service.
