Blooming Jelly Women's Athletic Running Shorts Crossover Gym Workout Shorts

I don’t run but I do love these shorts! They have been great for hiking and they are super comfortable. I am sometimes a large and sometimes a medium so based on reviews I ordered the medium and I’m glad I did! For reference I am 5’10” 175lbs. The fabric is a good thickness and this item is well made! I just washed them for the first time on a cold water cycle and they held up great! Color was on point and they have nice zip pockets! Definitely worth the price!

I bought these to wear to Universal Studios Orlando in the dead of summer. They’re some of my favorite shorts now. I liked them so much I had to buy another color (neon yellow). The material is breathable and soft; thin, but surprisingly good quality. I wash the shorts on gentle cycle and hang it to dry because I’m trying to preserve them, but they’re a bit prone to wrinkling. Not a big deal to me. The waist is very flattering. The zipper pockets are fantastic. I think they’re good for any athletic activity- running, biking, walking. The length is perfect. The only thing, I think, that some may find uncomfortable is that there is a built-in under-shorts kind of thing that are almost like bikini bottoms. I like that there’s a bit of extra material there though, otherwise it’d be quite see-through (especially the lighter colors).

I am sometimes in between sizes so I ordered a large and an extra large in the shorts. It was kind of disappointing because the extra large were huge and super unflattering. The large was a tad bit smaller than I would like, they seemed closer to a medium. So the size difference in between those two is crazy. I will say the tummy control/waist is very complementary especially if you have a mommy tummy like me. I believe I’m going to keep the large because I feel like they will be a good lightweight pair of shorts to wear to my daughter’s softball games this summer. I have the large on in the photo.

These are great! I love the waistline, it is very flattering and the material is stretchy and not too tight or loose. I love how the back is slightly longer, makes me even more comfortable. These are a great athletic material, the perfect thickness. The zippered pockets are nice to have. I would definitely buy again! For reference, I am 120 lbs, 26 in waist, and the XS fits perfectly.

I really wanted to absolutely love these shorts. On paper, they have everything I look for in gym wear: a trendy crossover waistband, a flattering cut, and a built-in liner. While they look amazing when you first put them on in front of the mirror, their performance in the gym leaves a bit to be used. First, the positives. The crossover high-waisted design is incredibly flattering and holds you in without digging into your stomach. The fabric itself is lightweight, breathable, and feels high-quality—it handles sweat well and dries quickly. They also have a great casual athleisure look, making them perfect for running errands, lounging around the house, or just walking the dog. The 3-star rating comes down to how these perform when you actually start moving. These are marketed as workout and running shorts, but the moment I start jogging on the treadmill or doing squats, the outer fabric immediately begins to ride up. Within a few minutes of active movement, the legs bunch up right into the crease of my thighs. I found myself constantly pulling them down between sets, which is incredibly frustrating when you're trying to focus on a workout. If you have any kind of thickness to your thighs, the fabric just doesn't want to stay put. The built-in liner helps keep you covered so you aren't completely exposed, but having the outer shell bunch up constantly ruins the silhouette and causes some minor chafing. If you are buying these strictly for aesthetic purposes, light walking, or casual wear, they are easily a 5-star pair of shorts because they look fantastic. However, if you are looking for reliable athletic shorts for intense running, lifting, or HIIT workouts, the constant riding up makes them pretty impractical. They are decent, but definitely not my go-to for leg day.

I really love these shorts. I am 4’11 and while petite I have a small momma belly from csection. I love these shorts bc the waits hits high and feel sturdy! Material is comfortable and soft. POCKeTS are perfection! Hold phone and keys! Just perfect! I like how the leg lays. Not a high slit. The underwear under the top layer is a little big and sits oddly but not a deep breaker at all! Workout friendly! The fabric offers a nice weight. I will purchase more just have to choose color! Black was a great staple.

As a girly pop with thick thighs these shorts are an absolute must buy! The main thing I hate about running shorts is that they are either too tight around my thighs or they ride up into short shorts. These DO NOT do that. And the crossover stretchy waist band is so nice and comfortable. I have already purchased three pairs of these shorts and I have every intention to buy more. ALSO! They have zip up pockets!!!! Literally I cannot explain how much I love these shorts.

These shorts changed my life. I’m not even joking. I live in Central California where it’s triple digits all summer and I work outside, these allow me to hop in the pool, hop out and not change and get work done outside while still looking athletic and semi professional, as they are not tight not too short, not too long, and yet still managed to be flattering. Also, the waistband doesn’t leave awkward marks on your stomach so you can wear them over swimsuit bottoms to the beach! Literally recommend them to every outdoorsy Girl I know.
