I'm a fan of Superlube products and use their higher weight PTFE grease on everything from mechanical keyboard switches to bike parts. They make a ton of different synthetic greases and oils for different purposes. This particular product is a lightweight oil with and ISO rating of 46 and a wide temperature range. I suggest going to their website to view their various products and variations in specs. For example, they sell another lightweight oil on Amazon in the same size that's slightly thicker with an ISO 68. The 46 is like the consistency of a lightweight cooking oil at room temp (it flows and drips easily). This one does NOT have their Sincolon PTFE in it. It has some great features. It's clear, dielectric, and food safe. Because it's clear and dielectric, I used it for an admittedly nerdy gadgety project -- to fill a quartz Diver's watch with oil. Yes, this is a thing (search online and you'll find forums and videos). I made my own beater version of a Sinn UX oil-filled watch which has a 500m water resistance level. And no, I don't dive, but that's besides the point! Not very many people need a 500m capable watch, or even a 100m one. A practical comment: this came in a sealed bottle. So no leaks in transit. Only after getting it, do you unscrew the bottle cap and peel off the bottle seal. So if your's arrives in a mess, oil all over the place, and without the seal, it was probably an opened bottle that was returned.

This is a really great oil especially considering the price...I did a lot of research on what oil to use on my turntable spindle and this is one I came up with. Most older turntables and even some newer ones will probably do better with the Super Lube 52004 unless you have an inverted bearing. In which case you would need a grease not an oil...The best lube for some turntable spindles might be Anderol 465 which is the oil used by Technics for their direct drive turntables. but costs $18 dollars an ounce plus shipping, yikes I've found that for belt drive turntables the ISO of the oil does affect rotational speed some ..The iso super Lube 68 is probably the best match for most turntables if your turntable runs slow then try ISO 46. I've tried both and found that the ISO 68 works best on my Pro-Ject turntable. A lot of this is trial and error because most of the information on the Internet is sketchy at best. Different brands and different model turntables within a brand have different needs. New turntables old turntables also different needs. Generally speaking, I would recommend a fully synthetic without additives., and these Super Lubes fit the bill and will let you experiment without spending a ton of money.

This is good for hinges. I talked to Ai to find the best lube for hinges, and this stuff matches what is said would be best. I use a syringe thing to apply it to the hinge pin. No drips and works great.

I bought this oil to maintain my vinyl record turntables that I have. I have a total of 4, with two of them being from the 90s. With the applicator tip, its very easy to get the oil where I want it to go on the spindle/motor, and its keeping my turntables spinning friction free and working great. You only need to use a bit on each turntable you have maybe every 3 to 6 months, depending on how much you use the decks. I use my turntables almost daily, so I do it every 3 months. It's a great product at a reasonable price. 5 stars all around!
