The Most Beautiful Composter in The World in Pink, Made in America, Food Safe, BPA and Rust Free, No Assembly Required, Envirocycle Composting Tumbler Bin and Compost Tea Maker …

This is our second composter from this company. The first composter lasted over 10 years with constant use. The only thing we changed on that original composter were the wheels on the roller bed. It was this quality level that made us go looking for this specific manufacturer and company (specific to face of the product) for purchasing our replacement. The "new composter" has some upgrades that are improving our gardening experience. Key points are that even full, the composter rolls with a good amount of ease. (Me.. age 65, not athletic, but can roll it on my own. ). The detentions of the bin allow me to use the roller bed to stir up the compost, as well as take the bin and roll it around the yard. The top door is shaped in a way that allows for easy access of a spade to hand stir. The air vents are well placed. While rain water getting in is limited, the air flow is good. Even when left in the "upside down position" (allowing the bottom of the bin to receive sun heat) air continues to flow well. We used the composter (when newly arrived) to establish a new worm population. Really seems to be encouraging a larger worm population that we are able to regularly transfer into our raised beds. The collection of compost tea is easy and moister flow/collection is really good. Reminder is to see that the collection tub is regularly emptied so that it does not have tea freeze when the temperature drops. Secondly it has been used to retain all of our non-weed plant scraps, thatch, and kitchen vegetable scraps almost immediacy upon receipt. We eat out of the garden all summer so there was always something going into the composter. Recently we completed cleaning out our four medium raised beds and 12 food grade bucket. Used the bin to deposit leaves, vines, etc. Added to the bin, for the last two month, chopped up leaves. The level of content breakdown has been very good, and consistent. Although it is a single container, the rate of composting/breakdown and the maneuverability of content within the bin has allowed us to pull out small batches of breaking down leaves and semi-composted material that we mix with soil to set up our our spring flower beds around our small yard. We are in zone 7A and anticipate being able to use the bin throughout the year to continually compost; putting "finished product" into planting buckets with worms during the winter, in preparation of the spring/summer. The bin sits in a sunny (often harsh) area but is holding up nicely. Some of the bin pieces (note everything has continued to work just great up from time of purchase till right now) are destined to experience harder ware and impact. In anticipation of the coming planting season, we contacted the company (via Amazon) to get assistance on finding out how to make future purchases (should the need arise) for parts and pieces. The customer service team was so helpful, very responsive. My family and I opted to purchase some small parts and have them on hand(in advance), incase a need comes up in the future. Cost was better than reasonable and transaction was super easy. Our "repurchase" from this company is a statement of our confidence and satisfaction.

Bought this to replace a much larger version that was gifted to me years ago and later destroyed by a crazed exterminator (don't ask! :-o ). The bigger size is outside my price range so I decided to try this one. At first glance after it arrived, I thought it was too small, but on reflection, I think it is going to be perfect. Envirocycle has made a couple of improvements since they manufactured my old, deceased and much beloved composting tub. First off, the lid to this thing is MUCH larger in proportion to the overall size of the tub. The old design was OK, but when you had a lot of stuff in it and a lot of gardening to do, it used to be a pain to get the compost out and haul it across the yard or dump it in a wheelbarrow a few handsful at a time. The generous new lid design gives you an opening big enough to shovel out a substantial amount of compost in one swell foop. AND: the old model's lid couldn't be removed. This new model has a hefty pin that slides through the hinge -- pull that out and you can lift the lid right off. This will make it possible to simply roll the bin over to a planting bed, remove the lid, and dump the contents right where you want it! If you're used to a larger composting bin, "The Cutest" looks alarmingly small. However, on reflection I realized the small size has several big advantages: * When the old huge one was full, it was so heavy I couldn't turn it all the way over to mix the contents. This one will be maneuverable enough for an old lady to rotate without putting her back out. * Because I now will be able to rotate the tub every few days, the composting process should occur more quickly, especially in Arizona's outrageous summers. * It doesn't take up a galumphing amount of space. If you live in a townhouse or in one of those tracts where houses are on such tiny lots they're essentially what we used to call "patio homes," this small composter can be stored unobtrusively. It shouldn't get in your way either in terms of climbing over the furniture to get to your grill or visually, in terms of uglifying the patioscape. It really IS very cute, btw. * It's just the right size for container gardening. One tubful from "The Cutest," when mixed with some garden dirt or potting soil, will send your potted plants into a frenzy of plant joy. * Because the tub's size is very manageable, it will be easy to roll it across the yard and park it next to the pots and flowerbeds where I'd like to use the finished compost. Probably a youngish, reasonably fit man could pick it up, even if it were full. This will simplify one's gardening life considerably. Matter of fact, the smaller size looks like such a big advantage that I'm now thinking I'll wait a few months, until I have some more money collected, and then buy another one. This will allow me to have two tubsful of compost in different stages of progress. That way, you would never be "out" of compost -- when one barrel ran low, the other would be close to ready. A first for me: The first time "5 Stars" really DOES mean "I love it!"

I still have to laugh each time I think of how they describe this - "the most beautiful composter in the world", and anything that makes me laugh has an advantage right out of the gate 'cause I appreciate the humor. I wanted to wait 'til I'd made some finished compost before writing a review but Amazon will keep asking me for one in the meantime; I've only had it in use for 6 weeks but so far it's met or exceeded my expectations. First, it doesn't require any assembly - a huge plus for me as I'm a gardener, not a handyman, and not so good with other non-gardening tools. Reviews about putting some of the others together scared me, and then they have problems or fall apart after a fairly short time. I know this won't; it will probably outlive me. All that's required here is tear open the box, push a few plugs in and that was easy, and start using it. OK, you have to put the tumbler on top of the base, even I can do that. I put it on a few 2" H concrete blocks to raise it off the ground because of what I'd read someone else say about getting the liquid - the compost tea, out of the bottom if it's flat on the ground. I can still roll the tumbler off the base when that time comes and I appreciate that other reviewers comment. In spite of how beautiful it indeed is, I'm not going to put it in the middle of my front yard, and that's the only area of my yard that gets full sun in winter. I got two of these and started the second one about a month after the first. They don't get much sun, probably not enough, but here on the central CA coast we rarely get freezing temps, like once in 20 years it might get down to 30. I fully expect gorgeous compost by early spring, if not sooner. (It's 12/2 today; started the first one 10/20.) It definitely is working, compost is cooking away and turning it is so easy, fun even! I'm still working on the formula, haven't been too precise or scientific about it but am following general guidelines from the many sources I've read, and how fun to watch all that stuff that otherwise would be garbage turn into something useful for my gardens. I'd tried composting before without any kind of "store bought" bin and it didn't work for me; I didn't like having it open to varmints and the elements and knew I wasn't going to do what's required to make a big, fancy, 3 bin system and then turn it over and over. Don't have room for that either, would have to sacrifice flowers and vegetables. I don't really like buying "store bought" compost, although I've bought dozens of bags of it through the years. (Wiggle Worm is the exception - store bought compost I like.) This may not be cost effective in the short run for me, at least not 'til maybe ten or 20 years have gone by which is the long run, but if I get the formula down and it cooks faster than it has so far, it will be. Warmer weather and more sunshine - meaning longer days with the sun higher in the sky, will help I'm sure. And in the meantime, it's truly easy and fun to use. BTW, I'm a little old lady, 5' tall, weigh a little over 100 lbs and this month is my first on Medicare, meaning I'm REALLY old - 65. (How on earth, and when did this getting old thing happen?) I definitely recommend this product.

Love my Envirocycle but needs improvement. Pros: great larger capacity, easy to use, durable, beautiful, hasn’t faded (since June 2020) Cons: 1) difficult to lift barrel on/off the base to roll when full/heavy, 2) design of base unit’s drain spout prevents complete liquid drainage even after rocking back and forth, 3) when it rains, the base unit naturally gets flooded through the base unit’s holes on top and gets absorbed through the bottom holes of the barrel contents and gets soggy/rots, 4) tumbling wet contents results in tightly packed rotten balls and when they dry, become hard packed rotten balls, 5) when contents turn into compost (soil like consistency), they drop into the base unit which can’t be cleaned out/drained fully), 6) too expensive to buy today (price has gone up 88% since I bought it) Improvements/solutions to make this the BEST composter: 1) change spout design and location to corner to fully allow easy and complete washing out and drainage of base unit and 2) include a rain cover with heavy base/tie down of some sort to fully cover both units (especially for that high a price!)

I've had this composter for about 5 months and I've been very happy with it and the company's customer service. I picked the composter up in September and was able to get a small load of compost out of it before winter set in, it works fairly quickly as long as you've got the right stuff in there and the temperature isn't freezing. During the cooking phase of this load of compost, I found the composter to be extremely easy to use and sturdy. It spins smoothly and easily, the door and latch to access the inside are both robust, there aren't any leaks, and it's not bad at all to empty (I used a shovel and trowel). The drum holds a great deal more than I thought it would just by looking at it, I was pleasantly surprised how much yard and kitchen waste I was able to fit in there; I was similarly pleased with how much finished compost I got out of it. This unit is also nicely unobtrusive, it just squats in the corner of my yard doing its thing; I find that the large units that stand on stilts can be a bit of an eyesore sometimes. Beyond the product itself, the company has been great to deal with. I've emailed them several times for pointers on composting, such as adding water, what materials to add, etc. I've also emailed them to ask for a replacement drain plug after I lost mine and they sent me a few for free. Every time I've sent them a customer service request, it's been answered quickly and thoroughly. I'm very satisfied w/ the company and I'm confident that if I experienced an issue with the product, the company would help me resolve it. I had purchased a budget model prior to this one. I ended up returning it over concerns about its construction. I was initially unwilling to spend the amount this composter goes for, but I'm glad I ended up doing so. I feel like it's a good investment and I'm looking forward to using it for years.

My new purchased was just delivered yesterday and am already in love with it. This is a quality composter that will probably last through my grandchildren. I am very happy with my purchase, it is well made & very sturdy. I've asked customer service a couple of questions and they promptly answered my concerns. Customer service like that isn't found very often these days, it's refreshing to know that it still does exist and want to applaud Envirocycle Systems Inc. for hiring employees for their customer service, it says a lot about a company. I have been wanting to compost for the longest time and being handicapped plus full of arthritis, I placed the composter outside by myself (it was so easy) & started with 2 weeks worth of saving egg shells, coffee grinds, orange, banana & apple peels, plus shredded newspaper, cardboard and lots more. I wanted to update my findings. Being a senior citizen and no longer have upper body strength, I am unable to turn the composter, therefore I am no longer using it. I have been in contact with Lisa Yoon | Envirocycle Team, who is very knowledgeable but still I cannot turn it on my own. I have many, many flies, maggots, etc. I was told to add small pieces of cardboard, which I did & I still have too many flies, maggots; I guess it wasn't enough. Each time I've manage to turn it, I got compost tea spill out of the drain holes & get on me & needed to get washed.& change my clothes In total, what I am saying is if you no longer have the strength you once had, this is not for you. There's a lot of clumped up stuff in there & I just had to stop using it, not because I wanted to, because I had to. In spite of it all, I stand by my original statements that this is a fine composter. I spent a lot of money, never got any compost or tea & feel terrible when I throw recyclable material in the garbage instead of the composter.

I was first wondering if I should get the small 17 gal, but glad I got the big one. The 35 gal holds quite a lot, and when I asked a neighbor if I could have his trash, he said "Are things really that bad?'' LOL I'm new to composting and the most confusing thing for me was the proper ratio of greens to brown....everywhere you read different things, ranging from 75% brown and 25% green , 50-50, and the 75 % green- 25% brown that Envirocycle recommends....so what's a newbie to do?? First, I realized this isn't an exact science. Then, finally I found a web site that explained all this disparity very simply....depends on whether you are going by weight or volume, and since brown stuff is usually lighter and fluffier hence the high amount of browns that Envirocycle recommends. OK, now I get it. So far it is breaking down things slow because it's been so cool...plus I keep adding to the mix. I also threw in some Dr Earths activator for good measure. Pro's No assembly at all....except to put in a few plugs and place barrel on base Made in USA...yea! Love that! Mostly recycled non BPA plastic Easy to rotate and also move barrel to dump compost Small footprint Won't blow away or blow over ( important if you live in a wind tunnel as I do) Collects leachate ( bit nervous about using it though since not a true compost tea) Black color helps to cook faster So far no bugs or smell Excellent customer service Cons Price ....but it IS well made, in USA, and company stands behind, so we pay more for that...can't have everything ( sigh). No instructions included...not even a reference to check their web site which has lots of info to get started, but composter comes with nothing. When you finish rotating you have to make sure the the drain holes line up with the base so it drains properly. Not a big deal, but something I have to pay attention to. One more thing. Personally, I don't find a black plastic garbage barrel beautiful, but it is a work horse not a garden statue. Perhaps once I harvest my first batch of black gold I'll look at it differently...can't wait!!

Honestly, I balked at spending this much on a composter, but I am so pleased with it that I bought a second one this week! It's not out of range with many other composers, and I think it is really money well spent. I have a worm composter (great, but only for so much at a time), a stationary one you just pile stuff in (slow, slow slow unless you pay attention to it, which I don't), and the Envirocycle. I opted for my first Envirocycle because of the great reviews of the product AND it's customer service. I have not had to worry about the customer service, as it is well made and holding up well. Not sure that it is "beautiful" but it's better looking than most composers on the market. I have it sitting under our banana trees which have sprung up very happily with the compost tea draining out into the soil at their base. I'm too lazy to deal with the collection of the liquid, so I'm happy to have the option to collect or drain it. I know the composter is supposed to be on a flat surface, but it's not perfectly flat where they are and they turn well anyway, even when full. No issues with smell, as I've added enough paper, dry leaves, and other browns to our kitchen waste and small yard scraps, which keeps my neighbor happy. I refuse to spend time chopping up stuff to get it to compost faster. Whatever happens in the kitchen during food prep is it, and the Envirocycle seems to handle it just fine (watermelon rinds, pineapple rind, whole veggies I didn't quite get to fast enough, etc). I'm sure the results would be even faster if I bothered to chop it small or blender it, but I just refuse to do it. I turned the first Envirocycle only when I added stuff to it, and now that I have the second one next to it and I'm letting the first get to finished compost, I'll just turn them both when I add to the second one. I'll let you know how it goes, but for a non-hardcore, yet eco-aware person, I'm very happy so far. I thought about buying the small one initially, but glad I didn't as we (2 people) would have filled it too fast, and these have tucked in nicely under the trees without looking the least bit obtrusive even in our front yard. Made in the USA too!

I read lots of reviews before buying this composter as it isn’t cheap. I have a relatively small garden and nowhere to hide one. So it has to look good. So far I am impressed. It was easy to assemble. Basically just get it out of the box! It came with spare “bungs” and instructions on how to compost and get in touch with the manufacturer. Easy to pick up with lots of grooves to grip. Empty it’s quite light but robust. I started using it straight away after positioning it near my kitchen door. It turns very easily. Looking forward to seeing how easily it composts although not expecting too much over winter.

Lo amo un buen es muy fácil de usar todo lo compostea nadamas que les casi imposible llenarlo. Somos 3 familias usándolo y después de 6 meses aún no se llena podríamos sacar la composta y regresar lo que falte para que siga haciendo su proceso pero ahora que es invierno no me sirve de mucho en el huerto por lo que podemos esperar a la primavera esperando que ya se haya llenado.

Excelente producto, mi padre está feliz con el. Vivimos en clima cálido así que también ayuda. En 3 semanas ya teníamos composta lista para usarse.

If, like me you care about the look of your compost bin then this is the one for you. My god its expensive but it is without question the best looking and probably the best quality bin I've seen, and trust me, I did a lot of looking. Its super simply in its design and operation. Im already talking myself into buying another one. It would be 5 stars if, other than the look and simplicity I could justify the price. It doesn't need to be so expensive. Also, if it helps. In the picture are two standard 240l bins and they are all sitting on three 600x600 slabs. *Update* I bought another! So, I had a little problem with the locking mechanism on the first one. I contacted Envirocyle and they sent me a new lid and locking mechanism very quickly and couldn't be more helpful. This, as well and the ease of use and simplicity encouraged me to buy another and to now give 5 stars instead of 4. Very happy.
