Hot Tools Pro Signature Quietair Power Dryer, 1875 Watts

This dryer is exactly what I’ve been looking for because of its low speed drying setting. Everything out there is geared toward massive airflow, but not all of us need or want that and I’ve had a really hard time finding a dryer that offers a truly low airflow option. If you have really long hair or thick hair, this may not be the dryer for you, but if you want the option of low speed with heat (even the cool shot maintains lower flow when used on that setting) this is a great option. The higher speed setting does kick it up and move the air like a typical dryer. The concentrator further speeds airflow, so I think this dryer will work well for most people. It uses ceramic/tourmaline tech to increase the drying speed and soften the hair. And yes, it’s lightweight and very quiet. I’m extremely happy

It is quiet for people who have ringing in the ears or are sensitive to the loudness of a blow dryer. Perfect blower.

I bought this hair dryer almost 3 years ago and it has worked well. It’s not the most powerful but it dries my hair well and it really was decently quiet. It also wasn’t very heavy and is easy to hold. However, it suddenly started making a loud grating noise about a week ago and I’m afraid to continue using it. I can’t tell what happened but I feel that something broke inside and is moving around quickly whenever it is on. There’s a chance it can be fixed but who knows. So, I would have given it 5 stars if you’d asked me about this hair dryer in December 2025. However, I now want to give it 3 stars, possibly less. This was my first Hot Tools brand purchase, so I don’t know if this is a reflection of the brand or just this model.

As someone with thick, multi-textured, multi-type wavy-curly hair who DOES NOT use a blow dryer for blow outs or straightening but rather for diffusing and supporting waves, most dryers today are overkill on force and heat. I searched high and low, in stores and online, for a solid blow dryer that offered options for TRUE low (but not too low) heat, and TRUE low-medium (but not too low) force of air. This one was the goldilocks. Hot enough without burning your scalp or frying your hair, and offers two good moderate-low wind speed options. I almost always use the diffuser option. Works great. A word to the wise don't throw it around, handle with care. I've read that the rubber diffuser teeth can fall out. Mine have not in 9 mos so far. I got one for my 11 year-old niece who also has curly hair.

I got this dryer to replace my Bed Head Pump Up the Volume dryer, which I loved but which they appear to have stopped making. I previously had a Hot Tools dryer which worked very well, so I figured I'd go back to them, and as someone with fine/thin hair it was nice to have an option that wasn't ionic. Unfortunately, I got just one use out of this dryer. Today, the second time I would have used it, I plugged it in to the same outlet as yesterday (the same outlet I plug everything else into with no problem) and the small red light on the plug started blinking. The dryer would run for a few seconds before the safety button popped out and the dryer shut off. Thinking it might've been an outlet issue, I plugged it into a different one in the bathroom. Same thing. Okay, maybe there's moisture in there? So I tested it in another outlet in the hall, about 10 feet away. Same thing. Tried it in my bedroom. Same thing. This dryer doesn't seem to want to work anywhere. And of course, the little instruction booklet doesn't mention this particular problem - all it says is that if it stops running, to clean the lint trap. I used it one time. There's nothing IN the lint trap. So, back to Amazon it goes, and I'm back on the hunt for a dryer that isn't going to make me look like I'm in the Seinfeld episode with the bad shower heads.

I bought this dryer based on a WIRED magazine recommendation. It is rated 'best hairdyer' after Dyson. I should have known not to trust reviews without specific information on performance like air speed or max air temperature. This dryer's main draw is the low level of noise it produces. I don't have any data to back it up, but it subjectively makes perhaps slightly less noise than $20 hairdryers I've used when they are placed on the lowest airflow setting. The most frustrating thing about this dryer is that it is incapable of producing an airflow greater than what most dryers produce on low. It's quiet, sure, but only because it is very weak. In addition, the attachments conduct a lot of heat and reach temperatures capable of burning your skin. The dryer looks sleek and doesn't feel cheap, but I highly recommend steering clear of this one. I feel that many cheaper dryers are better options.

I LOVE that is is significantly less loud than other dryers. Its easy to use and does the job. I recommend.

Unlike some reviewers, I had no issue with the relatively lower heat from this dryer. It worked just fine - but unfortunately not for long. After about a month or so, it stopped holding a consistent speed - you could tell that just from how the sound kept changing as it ran normally for a bit, then dropped its speed and struggled to run for a while. Then it might pick back up again for a little while, then drop again. Had to finally toss it in the trash. Before doing so, I took it apart to see if there was any obvious explanation for how it kept slowing down - such as any hair or buildup of dust impeding the impeller etc. - but the innards were perfectly clean and unobstructed. Must just be a poor quality product.
