Upfront, you need to know this floor jack is extremely heavy, weighting it almost 60Lbs. on my scale. That can be good news or bad news. It is good news if you want a floor jack that is seriously solid and well built. It is bad news if you need to move it around other than on its wheels. Not fun to lift up, best done with two people unless you like dead lifting weights. Probably won't be using that side handle for toting it around much, I expect. Other good feature, beside being extremely solid and no doubt capable of handling 3 tons, is it uses dual hydraulic cylinders, rather than one bit single as some jack do. It isn't about being any more efficient, because either gets the job done. But dual cylinders allow it to keep a lower profile to get well under today's cars lower cars. It also gives some added insurance that if, or more like when, one starts to leak, you aren't dead in the water. And if you haven't have a floor jack leak yet, you haven't been using them very long. You can usually rebuild them. But that means practically disassembling everything on it to get the hydraulic cylinder out, then draining it or else working in a pan, tearing it apart, new o-rings in, put back, add oil, reassemble jack. Call me lazy, but time is also money. I did it one time years ago on a Sears floor jack, and said never again. I'll just buy a new one. This one was to have been my "back up" floor jack. But turns out it is better built than the one I already had, so that one becomes the back up, and this one the primary. I like everything about it, other than maybe that additional weight when it comes to position it. Then it is a bit of a liability. But I'm happy to live with it to have a floor jack this sturdy. Bottom line: it really is built like a tank, goes from a tick under 4" to over 8", and can do one side of a 12 ton vehicle. Yeah, that's some serious jack there. If you are a frequent user on larger vehicles, it isn't cheap, but I think it is worth it. If you are a very occasional user and don't need one to list 3 tons, it might be overkill, and can be less maneuverable. For my use, I give it five stars.

This is a great jack with high speed raising to working height, then the second stage of the dual pistons kicks in for power to 3 Ton capacity. This capacity could raise one wheel of a truck weighing more than 12000 lbs depending on loading. Most of the jack is aluminum with critical parts made of steel as shown in my video. It goes very low, to 3 3/4" which should go under the lowest cars, to 18 7/8" which is high enough to work on most under vehicle projects. It will cover nearly all of my auto repair projects such as the recent timing belt change I did. The jack comes assembled with only the handle needing to be snapped together and tightened with the included screw. Note that shipping companies are rough on these heavy items so be sure to inspect the box when you receive it. Mine had a few scrapes from them but arrived intact. This one is about 55 lbs, around 9 lbs lighter than the steel version with lower and higher working clearances. I am very happy with the quality of this jack.

For the price, I would suggest the other aluminum jack that's cheaper. This is a fantastic floor jack so far. 3 Ton support is more than enough for what I'm using it for which is what I wanted. My vehicles at most are 1.5 tons, and my new truck will be 2 tons. The elephant in the room for me is that this jack is still heavy, but not as heavy as it's other 3 ton counterparts so this is a win. The wheels REALLY help for maneuvering around, with the rear wheels being able to swivel. Dual piston lifting helps minimize the effort as well for jacking the car up. The lift action is also VERY SMOOTH. This is the most impressive part of the jack for me for how easy it was to quickly lift the car up. The handle easily comes apart into two pieces, helpful when you have the room to make jacking things up very quick and easy. I like the pad is on the smaller part so it's always utilized, and taking apart the handle helps squeeze the jack in tighter places. Finally, the jack starts the lift just low enough to get under my TT RS which is a very low to the ground. All in all, this jack has the speed and convenience, and surpassed my expectations for its functionality. Is it a great value for money? I'm not sure. It's good. I'm not sure if it's actually better than the other Big Red 3 ton jacks as I haven't used them, but I am happy with my purchase! (for reference, my image is with the jack lifted at 15 inches. It was lifted to 19" to easily fit the stand under.)

Only used one time. I went to use it again a couple of months after my first use and it was not working anymore. Since I was past the return window, I took it to someone to see if it could be repaired but it could not. This jack is junk. Save your money and look for a different brand.

I could not be happier with this jack. Although aluminum it is solid and sturdy, just as heavy duty as my steel jacks. Unlike my steel jacks this one is relatively light making it a lot easier to move around especially when not on concrete. The lift speed was secondary in my consideration of a jack but I am so glad it has it, just makes things easier and faster. Overall I am happy and I would buy this jack again. 5 STARS

I ordered this to replace a very worn out and cheaply made floor jack my husband had been using in the garage for decades. This brand is known for quality so I knew it would be good. Even though this is a low profile jack, it has enough range that we even used it on our lifted (2.5" above stock) Jeep Wrangler. Normally it will be used on a Subaru Legacy, which is rather low to the ground. Despite the fact that the top of the jack was sticking out of the box when we received it, everything arrived in working order. This appears to be a very well made piece of equipment and I am sure we will use it for many years to come.

This Jack is great! It is strong and still thin enough to get under my car that sits pretty low and goes tall enough to go under my boyfriend's truck and still jack it up. I am very happy with this product. The box was damaged upon receipt but there didn't seem to be anything missing. It does what it is suppose to do. The instructions for servicing it by adding some oil (which you shouldn't have to do for a while) were pretty unclear but videos can be found on youtube.
