Low price for a great supplement
I purchased this as I have a medical condition which affects my eating habits, therefore I don't eat as much as I should and I'm not getting the right amount of 'good' calories, fats, carbs, protein and building blocks you would expect from a balanced healthy diet. I was nearly put off by the negative reviews relating to the taste and the difficulties people experienced when mixing it. I was thinking about whether or not to take the leap, initially based on the protein content (80%) and the price. But when looking into the breakdown of what you get from this supplement this cemented my decision and I added to my basket and checked out.....I ordered the double chocolate by the way.Delivery was next day and with the help of my wife she made my first shake. We were both just as surprised at how easy this was to mix despite so many comments on how difficult it was. I can only assume that because my shaker has a metal shaker ball in it that this helped greatly, something I think another reviewer mentioned.I took my first sip expecting to be greeted by the most horrific taste ever, only to be pleasantly surprised at how nice it actually tasted. Don't get me wrong, it's not like a mouthful of melted chocolate but it's not far off. I've had some really really awful tasting supplements in the past and I can genuinely say that this doesn't even come close to those experiences. This has a very nice taste to it, both with milk or water.I'm still struggling with my appetite but this is most definitely a welcome addition to my food consumption.

Great value for money
Fantastic value 5kg bag, it's doing the job for my weight training program, i use this on non training days and a top quality whey protein powder straight after a workout twice a week

Credit where credit is due, decent quality for a very good price
The slightly more powdery consistency when compared to pure whey is a result of the addition of some soy protein; 500ml of water for a scoop in a shaker with a mixing ball provides a very drinkable consistency with no residue around the edges/corners etcetera. As for the taste, the 'double chocolate' is in fact quite a mild chocolate taste [possibly the soy protein is making it taste more bland too] although not particularly disagreeable, you may need to add some sweetener (a couple of supermarket own brand sweeteners for instance, won't break the bank!) to account for that. The carb content is higher than a comparable pure whey protein (similarly from the soy), the fat content is much lower though (could be the comparator had more than a trace of cocoa butter in to guarantee taste), so it looks as though it's pretty much swings & roundabouts, calorie content is very similar. For less than 50% of the price [before the ubiquitous promotion discounts] of pure whey from the major protein powder sites, then as long as you're not particularly demanding over consistency & taste it's a very good alternative, I'll be reordering :-)

Great value for money, taste could be slightly better
It seems that since lockdowns ended across Europe and the World, the price of protein has sky rocketed, Especially on websites like PhD Nutrition and My Protein. I used to shop on these sites but after seeing the astronomical increase in price, I decided to shop elsewhere and found this protein on Amazon. The value for money is really good here, with 5kg around ยฃ35 cheaper than it would be on MyProtein. The taste isn't great, but you will get used to it. It does taste a lot better with milk. Overall, I recommend this product, especially until the price of protein calms down

Fantastic Value For Money
This is by far the best protein powder in terms of value for money.I was on the myprotein impact whey powder for the last 3 years and recently they upped their prices by 50%. That's when I found this gem. In terms of flavour it is actually quite nice in comparison to the myprotein chocolate nut. There have been some bad reviews in terms of "mixability" but I use two scoops and fill up my shaker with water and it is completely fine. Helps if you have one of those mixing balls. I see little difference between this one and the myprotein one in mixability. The reason they can sell this one for so cheap is because it isn't 100% whey. However, the powder is still a complete protein source so I do not mind.I will be using this for the foreseeable future.

DO NOT BUY THIS
I rarely write Amazon reviews however I don't want anybody to go through the same stress that this product has caused me.Not to be dramatic.Do yourself a favour and buy MyProtein or a branded protein product.Basically, it's dreadful and should be called cement mix, it does not blend, even in a blender and requires astronomical amounts of water and milk in order to get it to blend together. It is quite frankly dreadful. It tastes like cheap cereal. Do yourself a favour and do not buy this, I know the price may look decent but DON'T DO IT OKAY?!

Good value, and - mercifully - not ridiculously sweet like others
Low on the sweetner, thank the gods. And a decent attempt at Double Chocolate (although I'd say Single myself). It does have a distinct stale biscuit/cardboard-box overtone to the flavour though, with the slightly gelatenous mouthfeel (dissspiated with dilution) that most of these protein shakes seem to have to some degree. It can't be described as unpleasant in comparison to others though - there are some hugely revolting powders out there at literally twice the price.Note that also unlike some other powders, it doesn't respond well to "pasting" (avoiding lumps by mixing to a smooth paste first, then adding more water). Just add it to the full amount of liquid you want, and mix it up. Otherwise, you'll see it clings in semi-poweredy glags to your spoon which won't come off without scraping.

Better tasting than some reviews here suggest.
Arrived in recyclable cardboard box with ditto packaging. Mixes fine with water or milk but personal preference is low fat yogurt. Double chocolate? Mmmm, not as rich a taste but quite palatable. Add half teaspoon of cocoa powder or double of drinking chocolate to push taste up. Curious thing about ingredients, they are a dead ringer for a similarly priced protein product from Bulk Protein Company, called Serious Protein in a 4kg tub, with reviews that are similar to some reviews here. Try https://www.amazon.co.uk/product-reviews/B01CCSJRQK/ref=pd_cart_rp_1_cr_1?ie=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B01CCSJRQK&pd_rd_r=7AJ5XJ21BTQ2YW5M1VMC&pd_rd_w=G5QvF&pd_rd_wg=quu6f&refRID=7AJ5XJ21BTQ2YW5M1VMC for comparison. Price seems marginally in favour of this product. Have now tried both, can't tell difference but the packaging bag is easier to roll up and bin than a 4 kg size tub and lid. Unless you collect black 4 kg tubs with lid...๐
