Bosch 0600849H70 EasyHedgeCut 18-45 Cordless Hedge Cutter with 18 V Lithium-Ion Battery, 450 mm Blade Length, 15 mm Tooth Opening

My garden has a hedge that's about 40 feet long and six feet high and several shrubs of different varieties. To trim them I have always used shears and a new pair had become due. But seeing this Bosch battery powered hedge cutter advertised at only twice the price of a decent pair of shears I decided to buy it instead. What a good choice! It's lightweight, easy to use and sharp. It easily cuts privett, box and quite 'woody' shrubs. I find the blade is just the right length in that it doesn't overbalance the tool. It also makes it easy to shape shrubs. The capacity of the battery is enough for all the work I have to do and delivers sufficient power without the hassle of trailing cables, extension leads and the inevitable cutting of the power line. I've owned many Bosch products and this seems as well made as others. I am confident it will last. If like me you don't have another Bosch battery product make sure you buy the option with battery and charger.

The hedge cutter feels light and well balanced in your hands making it easy to use. when I first started the cutter it didnt seem very powerful and I thought it would be hard to cut anything on my hedge other than new growth. My worries were not necessary and the cutter was easily cutting branches up to 10mm. I am very happy with this tool and I like the fact that the batteries fit other Bosch tools. I have wanted to move over to cordless power tools and now I am happy to go with the Bosch system

Nice cutters but felt like they needed more heft. I had charged them for 4 hours and were perfectly adequate for hedge but on some of the thicker twigs they seemed to jam

It is very lightweight and easy to use ,reasonably powerful and will cut through twigs with no problem . More than twigs etc you would be better going for a heavy duty machine ... bushes and hedges no problem ..I am happy with it .

Very quick to set up, Charge time 2 hour's & click-an-go battery. I did my hedge in a fraction of the time, this why writing a review. The product is light and well balanced, plus with no trip hazards with corded. Not forgetting how low the noise. I enjoyed doing my hedge which is 10 meters long nearly 2 meters high. Worth the buy.

Tried a friends one (older model: 12-35 ) and I was very impressed at how light it was and how well it cut through thicker bark. You have to press both the bars t enable it to work so it can't work if you only press one bar which is an excellent safety feature. It comes with charger and plug. I wasn't disappointed with this one. Excellent.

I'm a 62 year old women I found this quite easy to use but it did get a bit heavy after prolonged use .The battery seems to last a long time I didn't need to charge it . Maybe it's me but I didn't find it that powerful but very quite .my nephew usually cuts my hedge with a petrol cutter with a long extension but I found it too heavy.This would be ok for a reasonable size garden but I'm on an acre 3 sides conifers I side laurels it seemed to cut the conifers easier .I was using it to tidy up what my nephew couldn't get finished but i don't think it would be suitable for very thick or tall hedges ( which he cut with the petrol cutter)

Used this 3 times since purchasing about a month ago. More than happy with it. No issues with my first lithium battery . Lasted well and no need to worry about recharging during a cut of about a dozen 2 1/2 metre conifers both sides and tops. Did a great job. So much easier than a corded product
