Exactly what I needed. A wall phone that is easy to install, numbers clear, programmable with numbers. Perfect. Editing this review. Returning phone as sound quality is terrible. While it has all the functions I wanted, when talking on it people say I sound like I’m talking in a tunnel. Tinny & echoes. This phone not designed for VoIP line through cable. I don't text and refuse to be tethered by a cell phone. Our Landline worked during a derecho when all of the cell towers were destroyed. So, this one is a definite upgrade from our old model. It has a ringer volume control plus a voice volume control! I love it, it was so easy to plug in using the POTS line that was included - just plugged one end into the phone & the other into our phone jack. We also have an AT&T cordless setup, and this Trimline (we'd call it the Princess style) is the first to ring. If ever needed, I'd buy this again and recommend to friends & family who use landlines.

The telephone makes a pulse sound when putting through a call. This would tolerable except that you are asked to press a button for any reason, the call recipient does not recognize you have done so. I used a cell phone instead to make the necessary calls and to have responses received. A new telephone system installed where I live is incompatible with this telephone’s technology as it no longer can make outgoing calls and receives incoming calls only from within my residence.

Nice large numbers. Flashing light when ringing is handy.

If you live somewhere that cell signals don't carry well, and still maintain a landline, then you need a classic corded phone for times when the power goes out. This phone will work with just the power in the landline. Made by ATT, it is solid and worked immediately when plugged into the landline jack in my house. The sound quality is fine, the buttons are large and readable, the phone is a classic white "princess" design that can either sit on a counter or hang on a wall. At only $19.99 it is a very good value.

This is actually better than I expected. I have anxiety issues and my last phone SCREAMED at me and I hated it. I tried coating in in duct tape to mute it but that didn't seem to have much effect. This AT&T corded phone though... 3 settings for the ringer. Off, Low and High. The flashing red light still blinks if the "off" setting is chosen. The quiet setting is exactly the volume I was hoping for. Even the loud setting is less shrill than cheaper tones. I don't feel startled by this one. They use programmed more pleasant tones than cheaper options.. And it has 3 settings for earpiece volume too. Which functions brilliantly. I'd absolutely buy this phone again. I think it's pretty close to perfect.
