Top Notch Product
I recently purchased the iSpring WSPARJ-BP automated spin-down filter - see after installation image. The item arrived in good condition with all parts securely packed. It came with a 50 micron filter which should be adequate, based on an initial two-week evaluation. I live in a rural area which is underlain by alternating beds of thin limestone and shale. Water for the house and property is drawn from a hillside spring box. So the problem was excessive silt and fine sands plugging the 4.5-inch by 20-inch string-bound Pentek water filter over a short period of time. The result was lower household water pressure and lower water faucet flow. Changing the Pentek filter element on a short schedule was both tedious and costly. I needed to improve the filter life of the Pentek filter. Over the last couple weeks I have tested the iSpring WSPARJ-BP automated spin-down filter and it seems to work properly. I left the automatic settings in their default mode. I have used the auto-push-button flush mode for testing. I am very happy with the unit. Many thanks to customer service at iSpring for their timely and professional help during installation of the unit. Pros: 1) Works as promised; 2) a cost effective solution; 3) a good value for the money, well built; 4) helpful, responsive and professional customer service; 5) fairly simple installation, no leaks encountered; 6) automated and scheduled operation is easily programmed via installation instructions; 7) batteries included for battery-only operation, 8) capable of 110v operation, power supply included, 9) extra parts are included to convert to a fully manual filter unit operation, if desired. Cons: 1) The screws included for mounting the filter to the wall are inferior grade phillips-head and are too “small-headed” for the mounting bracket holes, no washers are included; 2) screws for attaching the filter head to the mounting bracket are difficult to use (think tiny short screws, tightly threaded and of the “flathead-type” design); 3) the bypass handle is difficult to shift from one mode to another; 4) the filter wrench can be used to help shift the bypass handle mode-to-mode but this technique is only illustrated at the seller’s website and not in the .pdf online installation/user manual; 5) the plastic drain hose came permanently kinked in two places - see image (iSpring customer service replaced it immediately when notified of the issue); 6) the filter body and filter head were way too tightly joined upon receipt of the unit and it was difficult to separate the two without first mounting the entire unit and wrenching it apart; 7) no instructions are given regarding the filter housing rubber o-ring used to seal the unit - for example: a] do not over tighten the filter body and crush the rubber o-ring, hand tight plus 1/8 to1/4 turn is sufficient to prevent leaks and o-ring damage, b] always apply a thin layer of silicone grease on the rubber o-ring to help seal it, c] maintain the o-ring by cleaning and reapplication of silicone grease during assembly/reassembly of the filter unit, d] expected end-of-service life for the o-ring ?, e] where can I order a replacement o-ring ?; 8) the current .pdf installation/user instructions, Version 01/2023, available online, are incomplete and need revision. Suggestions to iSpring: 1) Replace all installation screws with hardened hex-head design for easier sturdier installation; 2) coil drain hose for packaging; 3) ship filter loosely fitted so customer can inspect the internals and disassemble it for easier mounting; 4) update Version 01/2023 online Installation & User Manual .pdf

Outstanding customer service! And the Cadillac of sediment filters (but I need a 50 micron filter)
TLDR, fantastic customer service and solid product. You won't regret purchasing this filter. I bought this item from an Amazon warehouse deal. I received the filter and found the automatic module that opens the ball valve at the bottom of the filter housing was defective. When installed, the module wasn't engaging the ball valve. I was able to get the original module to work by pulling out of the white shaft that engages the ball valve. But the gears inside ended up being overly noisy which didn't inspire confidence, and I was concerned about the warranty. I'm guessing this is why it was returned, as the filter assembly itself never had any water run through it. Side note: Shame on Amazon for reselling a product that had a known problem, you folks need to do better on these warehouse deals. So I called the customer service number in hopes to resolve the issue. A robot answers the call first, which immediately had me thinking I was going to wait a long time and be connected to someone on the other side of the globe or some AI bot. I was surprised and happy when a real life human picked up the phone after waiting less than a minute, AND that person was based in the USA. I connected with Nick at the customer service line. He listened to my concern and advised me NOT to return the unit to Amazon. Doing so would just cause the unit to be resold (again), and the next person would run into the same problem I was having. After a brief call Nick advised me to email him a description of the concern along with some pictures for documentation and proof that I was the purchaser. He emailed back and told me he was sending a new module. Amazing customer service right there! Most companies would not take the proactive stance, but Nick and ISpring absolutely care about their customers. He didn't want to leave me with a questionable part after buying a brand new filter. Top notch customer service and they've absolutely earned my future business. Now, as far as the filter goes, this is an extremely well built sediment filter. It's the Cadillac of sediment filters! I have previously installed one of the smaller sediment filters, which works well, but also clogs quickly. I wanted to try this unit to save me the hassle of having to walk out to the pump house and manually clean it twice a day. This filter is large, and that extra surface area means more filtering and less clogging. Along with the automatic module, it makes the sediment filter as maintenance free as it can be. My only regret was not going with a 50 or micron filter. The 200 does catch some, but for my application I think the 50 micron (or maybe the 100?) would have worked better, especially considering the much larger surface area and the automatic flush which can be programmed to flush frequently. But how are you to know before running and trying to see what level of filtration works best? Right now my next filter in line is a 5 micron, and that's picking up a lot of sediment that is passing through the 200. Two things I would design differently if it were me. One, make a filter wrench that goes over the black part at the bottom without having to remove the black piece or the auto module. Having to remove all of that to service the filter is bothersome. Two, put the power plug on the side of the auto module instead of the back so that you don't have to remove the module to remove the power cord. Fwiw, my work around is to loosely leave the filter wrench on the housing so I don't have to mess with taking off the stuff on the bottom. It doesn't look great, but I guess I won't misplace the wrench either. Thanks again, Nick, for all of your help! It was a true pleasure to speak with you and I greatly appreciate the level of customer service that you provided. Keep up the great work!

A+ product and service!
I've had this filter for about two years and it has performed flawlessly. I used to get a lot of sediment from my well, but now it all gets stopped by the filter. I clean it manually a few times per year and have it set to auto-flush every 60 days. Installation was a breeze. I had a plumber replacing an old boiler at the same time, so I did the PEX-A setup with the spin-down, fine sediment and carbon filters The PROS: Very solidly built with sturdy brass top fitting where the water goes in and out. The acrylic bottom is easy to remove with the tool and goes back together easily. The filter is stainless and easy to wash off in the sink to get the particles that auto-flush misses. The customer service is the BEST! Recently I spoke with John about filter size since some of my drip emitters are clogging. Calls are answered promptly by a knowledgeable staff who offer advice, replacement or whatever you need. I had a very small leak in the bottom of the drain valve and I received the replacement within three days. It's impressive when a company spends the time and resources to help its customers after a sale since it is definitely not the norm. The CONS: The auto-flush timer is poorly documented (as of 11/2022) so I had to call customer service a few times. This is an add-on at the bottom of the filter canister where the flush valve is located. There is no control over when it flushes - it is initially set the the time you make the setting, so if you program it a 10 am that is its schedule, but over time it seems to trigger later and later till finally you have no idea when it will trigger a flush. This is a minor issue since it does work periodically even though you never know exactly when. TIPS: I pinched and damaged the sealing gasket one time when I put the unit back together. Since you are basically out of business when this happens, I suggest the company include an extra gasket with the kit. At the time, they were out of stock so I had to find a replacement online. Be sure to use silicone plumbers grease on the gasket so it will go on and off easily and don't overly tighten. I found twisting by hand till it is firmly in place with no leaks is enough. I highly recommend this product and company.

Inventive, useful, well designed product - Manual could use some work
This is really an amazing product, very useful for whole house filtering, and I wish I'd gotten it sooner. Pros - Well designed - Very large - Fine mesh - Inventive design - High quality brass and see-thru plastic - Many programming options for flushing frequency and duration - Well designed bracket, can mount 2 ways - Universal fittings - The electronic valve with clip is very simple to remove and install, which you have to do to replace batteries or attach the AC adapter Cons - The biggest issue is the manual/spec needs work for example: - What kind of tubing does the unit take? Turns out it is 3/8" OD, but is any special kind needed? Only a few feet are included but 25' costs $5, so more should have been included. - How to remove/replace the tubing? You have to remove/untwist the drain cover, remove the tubing clip, hold the tube "collar" while pushing the tube, replace the tube and collar, and then twist back on the drain cover. Very easy once you know how. - What kind of fittings are used? The manual does say 1" MNPT, which are also called "water softener fittings" and there are Shark Bite flexible lines that fit this size. - The included drywall anchors are junk, highly recommend putting at least 2 screws in a stud, or mounting a piece of wood on a stud, and then mounting the bracket to the piece of wood. - The drain flow can be crazy. I had two tubes connected to the same drain line. While this unit was draining, the water came up the other tube about 3'. Highly recommend just running a long line direct into a drain. - Maintenance is just described quickly in the manual. It says it the mesh needs to be cleaned with vinegar every year or so, but some of the comments from the manufacturer said it needs to be *replaced* every year? I would hope these filters can be cleaned and not continually replaced. - It would be nice to buy a spare filter or maybe even a different size mesh, but the options to find part numbers or buy them is limited on the website. - Many disassembly options are drawn in the manual but not described, for example, removing the drain cover, removing the ball valve cover, etc. The pictures are actually pretty good, but more information is needed such as...which of these operations need the water turned off, how to remove the filter without drowning, etc. I realize the above list may look like a lot, and after using and trying things, and asking questions from support, many of these things are obvious. I just think the manual can be improved a bit, offer a copy online, describe things better, etc. Otherwise I LOOOOVEEE this filter and it still deserves 5 stars.

This is the best spin-down sediment filter
These filters work great and are well worth the money if you have a lot of sediment in your water. They seem to be made of quality materials, are simple to instal, do the job well, and customer service from the company is great. The large filters allow much more water through without getting clogged and reducing the water pressure. The automatic flush timer helps tremendously at keeping the filters clean. I have a well that pulls up a lot of sediment. I have been using the smaller spin down filters for years, and they certainly do the job of keeping the sediment out of lines, but the problem is they get clogged so fast that I was constantly having to clean the filters. I purchased 2 of these jumbo spin down filters, one with a 100 micron filter and one with a 50 micron filter, and installed them in line along with a separate 5 micron cartridge filter. Using these three different size filters helps keep the filters from clogging. I only lose about 2 psi of water pressure using the filters. When I installed these filters, I had a problem with one of the automatic flush timers not mounting to the filter housing properly. There is a pin that has to be inserted to hold the timer onto the casing, and the problem was the timer would not go onto the casing all the way and wouldn't allow the pin to be inserted. I tried adjusting the valve and making sure it was in the off position and still could not get it to go on all the way. I contacted customer service about the issue and Michele was very helpful. By process of elimination, we determined that problem was with the filter housing. I was promptly sent a new one, and the timer fit on the new one just fine. Both filters are now working perfectly. Thank you Michele for your help! I would highly recommend these filters. The only negative would be the high price tag, but you get what you pay for and I think they are well worth what you pay.

Could not remove filter canister at first, but it works well now!
Overall built quality on this unit seems quite good. It’s a veritable filtration monster and does its job, in that respect, quite well. Installation was easy and I pressurized it without leaks or concerns. However…. The first time I went to remove the canister shortly after installation, I found that it is on there so tightly from the factory that there’s no way to safely remove it! I might be able to get it off if I remove it from the plumbing, put it in a vice, and take a hammer to it, but that’s hardly practical, now is it?! Also, at the time of this issue, Ispring’s support website was MIA. UPDATE after two months of use: However, they did eventually reach out to me by email (about two months after leaving an initial review) to apologize for the issue and offer some suggestions, and that is certainly appreciated! The unit itself, after being unable to open it with multiple tries during the first month of use, just randomly started leaking from the top of the canister a couple of weeks ago (where it seals to the brass cap). I again attempted to remove the canister, and that time it came loose with ease. When I reinstalled it, it sealed right up with no leaking... and it gives me no issues when trying to remove it now. So, I am still not thrilled about it being impossible to open for so long, but I am happy that it works properly now and I will not need to pull the plumbing apart to replace it. As such, I upgraded the review from two stars to four. As for the functionality of the filter itself.... STELLAR! I estimate that it filters about a thousand gallons of water (about a week's worth of use) before there is any noticeable drop in flow rate, and the flush function (combined with the backflush ability I added to it) largely restores the flow for another week. I have used the unit for nine weeks now, and I have yet to pull out the filter to scrub it clean. It also extends the life of the downstream ten-micron carbon filter by several orders of magnitude (from about a week previously up to about 6-8 weeks now), which saves a substantial amount of money and waste on filters.

Great value great company
Absolutely love this spin down filter. Works very well to get some clay particulate out of my well water. The backwash feature is very effective in rinsing out the internal filter. I reached out to Ispring support and spoke with Nick and he took care of my questions right away. Easy to install and plan to use them again in the future.

Outstanding Product with Exceptional Customer Service after 2 years!
I couldn’t be more pleased with the iSpring WSP200ARJ Spin-Down Sediment Water Filter. The build quality is top-notch—solid brass fittings, clear housing for easy monitoring, and the auto-flush feature is a game-changer for maintenance since our well still produces a large amount of sediment even after 2 years. It’s been incredibly effective at filtering out sediment and protecting our plumbing and appliances. What truly sets iSpring apart, though, is their customer service. It’s rare to find a company that stands so firmly behind their product. We bought this filter 2 years ago and it did recently start leaking but John at iSpring simply sent us a whole new housing to correct the issue with no questions asked! That is great customer service and is appreciated! Highly recommend this filter to anyone dealing with well water & sediment issues. This filter has allowed us to have clean water with great pressure and protected everything in the house from being damaged by sediment. We also now have a iSpring under cabinet filter in the kitchen for drinking water and a ISpring 2 stage whole house filter after this sediment filter to give us a complete filtration system for our water.

From undrinkable well water to clean, safe water – excellent support from iSpring
After struggling for over 9 months to fix issues with my well water, I finally found a solution with iSpring—and I couldn’t be happier. My water was cloudy, had a strong sulfur smell, and wasn’t safe to drink. Nothing I tried worked until I came across iSpring and reached out for help. Laurence from their team guided me through the process and recommended the right setup for my situation. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I decided to trust his advice—and it absolutely paid off. I installed the RCC7P-AK 6-stage reverse osmosis system, along with the WGB32B-KS whole house filter and the WSP50ARJ-BP pre-filter. The difference is incredible. My water is now much clearer, odor-free, and safe to drink. It’s a complete transformation. Huge thanks to iSpring and especially to Laurence for the outstanding support and expertise. Highly recommended!
