Perfect dish
I don’t love the clear glass or plastic butter dishes because I think they look messy after first use. I also was looking for something that fit the kerrygold Irish pads of butter we buy most frequently (west coast style). This was exactly as pictured. It is plenty big enough for the butter sticks we buy. I like that it can be used upside down. Matches our kitchen colors and has a nice appearance. The ceramic seems like it is durable and should last a long time.

Heavy - holds a pound of butter
This is a well made butter container. It is very heavy, and I am concerned that it may be dropped when moving to the fridge. It easily holds all four sticks of butter in a pound package, but only the longer sticks, not the shorter ones that are so usually found today.

It’s attractive so when left out, you will not mind a bit!
Love this color as shown in picture. Goes great with the light color of my granite counter. Love the size. Easy to remove top. I do not think a handle is necessary. Nice weight. I hand wash and dry but dish worker works great too. Top and bottom fit is nicely done. Well designed and made.
