Review: Fits great, works great, lots of storage! - This pack is absolutely awesome! I discovered very early that a hydration backpack is too high up, gets way too hot and pretty heavy. This pack goes around your waist, and I don't even realize it's there until I stop and get off the bike. The top pocket holds so much! I put my sunglasses, wallet, keys, 4 or 5 energy bars, and sunscreen bottle inside with no problems and room to spare. There are also great little mesh pockets inside to keep you organized, and a handy clip for your keys. Plus it has a great side pocket if you want to put your phone or Kleenex in it (although I'm a Puffs guy myself). Also, I can confirm that it WILL hold the bigger-sized phones (tested with iPhone 13 Max). The slanted bottle holder is so great!! I can very easily just reach back and grab the bottle with no problems whatsoever. It's pretty easy to put back too, but if you're trying to do it while riding some whoops, ya might have an issue getting it in there. (that's what she said) Unexpectedly, the water bottle that comes with this thing is fantastic!! It has an open/close valve, a self-sealing cap, PLUS a dust cover so you're not sucking on dirt and mud when you take a drink!! Honestly, I love the bottle just as much as the pack itself. My final thoughts: I can't believe such a high quality item was so affordable. I was even a bit leery at first, thinking it might be sub-standard with its lower price, but it is everything that one would expect from a more expensive item. Buy this, you won't be sorry. And, if you ARE, then you can always return it. It IS desertcart, after all! Review: Needed something smaller the carry the essentials - I own a couple hydration backpacks of varying sizes which I use for longer rides. I needed something smaller. This pack has enough internal volume for a tool kit and snacks, or for a compact windbreaker. It includes a Camelback bottle, which is nice. It has a wide belt of adjustable lenght so it will fit a wide range of body sizes. I’ve a 34” waist and there plenty extra belt left. The pack is comfortable to use and it stays in place without bobbing. The angled bottle position makes it easy to access while riding, while the deep insulated pocket keeps the bottle cool and securely in place. I have longer bottles of higher capacity, and the pack carries them just as well. Just what I needed.

Large without bulk
Needed a new dog walking belt for large phone (Galaxy S23 ultra in a folding case). This fits the bill. The front zippered pocket holds the phone and a roll of poop bags. I have a citronella spray and collapsable bowl attached to belt. A caveat - watch the size of the water bottle. You can use a large bottle but it gets in the way. The belt adjusts easily and holds the adjustment securely. Most important - this isn't bulky. I am 5'2" and didn't want to look like I was going on trekking exhibition. You can't go wrong with Camelbak.

Good choice for running as well as biking
While this is promoted for mountain biking, I have been using it for the past 6 months for running and it works well. I like the fact that it easily holds a larger phone (iPhone 12 Pro Max) and has plenty of room for other items like keys and gels. The key clip and inner mesh pockets help keep things like keys from moving around in the bag while running. The cap on the bottle, presumably to keep dirt out while mountain biking, is also nice for trail running, beach running, and even protecting the mouth piece if you put in an outside pocket of a pack and slide it under the seat on an airplane.

Great bag, but it wasn't exactly brand new
First off, the bag is excellent. It looks well made and is comfortable to wear. I am able to fit my Wera tool kit in the outer pocket, and my keys, wallet, and phone in the larger inner pocket. Loaded as described, I can close each compartment without straining the zippers. The Dirt Series Podium water bottle that it comes with is a step above the average bottle and easy to use. I am deducting one star, because the bag was sold as new, but it was obviously a return. When the bag was delivered, I gave kudos to CamelBak for the minimalist packaging (a clear plastic bag). Upon removing the bag from the packaging I noted the lack of hang-tags and cards one normally expects to find included with a new item. Once I opened the main compartment of the bag I knew I wasn't holding a new item because previous owner had left loose change in the bag. And while I am thankful for the surprise 55 cent rebate, I'm not keen on the idea of using a water bottle that could have been used by someone else (the water bottle was not separately packaged). I'm keeping the set, the bag is in excellent condition and I heavily washed the bottle. If I returned it, it would likely just get shipped to someone else. Hopefully I don't get cooties from that water bottle... ;)

Excellent pack for mtb rides
Have used this hip pack for a few mtb rides. It is excellent. Between this pack and my water bottle mount on my bike, I’m able to hold 42 ounces which works for 2-3 hours rides, or longer if there is a place to refill water. The pack sits on my waist nicely and has minimal movement when secured. It allows my back to perspire and keeps center of gravity low. The bottle is easy to access on the right and is held securely. I’m able to fit basic items in the pack to get me out of trouble; multi tool, chain tool, extra chain links, derailleur hanger, zip ties, pocket knife, tire levers x 2, dollar bill for side wall blowouts, car keys, and phone stored in a sock to keep the screen from getting scratched. I have a frame mounted pump and inner tube secured to my bike frame. This is a perfect set-up for mtb rides where you don’t want a pack on your back.

Sturdy and useful
I love this bag. It’s big enough to fit a water bottle and all the essentials and it stays put even with a run.

Really good bag, great price too. you can take the bottle out and put it back while riding, no problem at all. I tried the Evoc one and that was much more difficult, didn't come with a bottle and was £75.

I use this for mountain biking and hiking. I recently took it overseas and it was useful for carrying the stuff you take with you on short day trips. It's very light and comfortable even on long rides of several hours. I use it to carry tools, spare tube and snacks. My Sony Xperia fits in the outside zip pocket... just. The water bottle is angled just right for easy access while riding. It's actually easier to use than the bottle on the bike. The bottle is not as large as the one the bike but augments the capacity without being too weighty. I prefer the belt to a backpack while riding because it gives you more freedom of movement. The inside mesh pockets are quite small but are big enough for, say, a spare battery for a action camera. They are not big enough for a passport though. I normally ride with a cycle jersey and use the rear pockets for storage. This allows me to wear lower cost tee shirts and still have storage.
