Used in Hawaii
This sunscreen stick is a great option for families looking for a safe and effective sun protection solution for their little ones. The stick application is mess-free and easy to use, making it perfect for on-the-go adventures. As with many mineral sunscreens, this product may leave a slight white cast on the skin.

Reef safe! Easy to use, product is a bit stiff to apply, leaves residue
This is so convenient. It's a sunscreen in a solid form that you can apply without any mess on your hands. Just apply it directly onto the desired area and you're all set. It is small and portable. One of my least favorite parts about outdoor activity is the need to frequently reapply sunscreen (I am super pale) because it gets my hands messy, and I'm often in places without hand-washing facilities and baby wipes only go so far in cleaning up sunscreen mess. This kept my skin protected on a 100 F degree plus day, with blazing sun. The product did not melt off or irritate my skin. I also appreciate that this is reef-safe and made in the United States. A couple of issues though - one, the product is very stiff, which meant using more pressure than I would like when applying it. This was easily addressed by quickly blowing a little warm air on the top of the tube. The other issue is that it does leave a distinct chalky residue. I tried rubbing it in but since it's a stick formula that keeps your hands clean, rubbing with the stick just adds more product and rubbing with your hands makes more mess. The chalky appearance doesn't bother me much but if you are going someplace where your appearance matters to you, like say a pool party or outdoor wedding, you will want to make sure this absorbs without a chalky residue. It washed off a few hours later with a gentle facial cleanser, though I did have to wash twice. It is quite pricey for such a small tube. I do like it a lot though and would recommend it. For savings, I suggest using it for your face only to extend the life of the product. Good product!

Convenient for Carrying and Touching Up Sunscreen Application
My Raw Love Baby Sunscreen Stick arrived in its sealed tube, showing an expiration date of 07/25. By peeling back the label, one can access a list of inactive ingredients as well as directions for use. The active ingredient, zinc oxide 18%, is shown on the label itself for easy reference. The label states the product is plant based, water resistant, cruelty free, reef safe, and is distributed in Maui, Hawaii. This is a convenient product to carry around in a purse (even a small one) and is handy for touching up sunscreen application as needed. Due to its size and the fact that it is a stick, I would prefer to use it for that purpose as opposed to a general application of sunscreen, which would be more efficiently applied as a lotion or spray. As more is needed throughout the day, this stick would be very useful when you are out and about. Since it contains zinc oxide and uses microparticles (as opposed to nanoparticles), it will leave a residue on top of the skin. This tends to be white until rubbed in completely and also has a bit of a sheen. Without a tint, there is only so much you can do to remove the light cast that remains, although it is not ghost-like. It is also important to remember that mineral sunscreen, unless nanoparticles are used, can stain clothing. Nanoparticles provide for absorption of the product, although many people (including me) would prefer not to have the ingredients absorbed like a moisturizer. In my opinion, this is a good sunscreen that provides good protection, and I am happy to have this in stick form to carry around in my purse in case I find myself out for a longer period of time than planned and in need of a quick application of protection. It is free from added fragrance, and any odor that may be detected is from the ingredients themselves. I am happy to recommend Raw Love Baby Sunscreen for the reasons mentioned above.

Great for travel
This Raw Love Sunscreen Baby Sunscreen Stick is rated as 30+ SPF. It is in a glue stick-style tube and can be raised and lowered. It is a very thick formula, and probably best for spot use or touch-ups. I took this with me on a four-hour whale-watching cruise on a boat that stayed within 20 miles of land. Although I had put "regular" lotion-style sunscreen on my face and arms before the boat left the harbor, it was a very sunny day on the water. My friend noticed that my nose was turning pink from the sun, so I got out this sunscreen stick and applied it to my nose, forehead, and ears. I had tested it out on the back of my hands at home and it took a couple of hand washings to remove, so it has some staying power. The sunscreen stays wherever it is applied. There doesn't seem to be any need to massage it into my skin, since it is too thick to spread. I wouldn't use it as the main sunscreen for my face, but it really came in handy for my spot-use touch-ups. Even though it is great for travel, I keep it in my purse and have used it for my nose when I find myself outside in the sun longer than I expected.

Not bad but application was a bit tough
This was like chapstick sized tube of sunscreen. It's a mineral sunscreen so I knew it would not be as cosmetically elegant as a chemical sunscreen. it's non nano which is great - save the reefs! When I first got the stick I tried it out and it was quite hard. I had used another stick like this before. The thing that works best is just rubbing it in your hands until it warms up and then applying. it just wastes a bit of sunscreen that ends up on your palms. I think maybe if you had the stick at the beach and it got really hot it would rub in better. The sunscreen itself was fine, didn't leave a super white cast but I wouldn't say it rubbed in and absorbed completely. Another tricky thing about this type of sunscreen is you have to make sure you're applying enough to really get the proper SPF - it's very easy to apply too sheer of a coat if you're not using a lotion.

Convenient to Use, Works Excellent
I always look for sunscreen that is mineral-based and broad spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreen of at least 30 spf, because I believe it gives the best and safest sun protection. I like being able to use this sunscreen on my face because with the tube it is in, I can do a touch up or second application by just swiping over certain areas of my face and I feel well protected from the sun. I can put it in my bag and I don't have to worry about it leaking out like a bottle of sunscreen can do or just being too big of a container. It's reef safe, it does not irritate my skin, easy to apply and easy to maneuver it around the face with good control of application. This can be used for everyone, not just babies. Great for sensitive skin also.

Convenient!
I ordered the babysunscreen. This is really convenient sunscreen. It's like a large chapstick. You can apply it very precisely and it doesn't leave greasy residue all over your hands or overstay everywhere. Because this isn't smelly or easy to get in the eyes, this is very kid friendly for applying to faces. This is a great sunscreen to throw in a bag. Unless it gets so hot it melts, there's no worry of it leaking out and making an oily mess. I really like this. It's very convenient. I am very happy that this sunscreen is made in the USA. Great sunscreen to have on hand!

like a glue stick
This reminds me of a glue stick. It goes on very thick. It is only .6 oz in this tube, so probably won't go very far. I put this on the back of my hand to try it out. I did not have a negative reaction and could not detect any smell, good or bad. It did stay thick-loooking, though, like a gluestick. It stayed like that until I washed my hands. I've washed them several time now, not focused on getting it off, just normal washing, and I can still feel the residue, but not see it. Overall, it's probably fine and is definitely convenient, but probably not the best value. I'm sure it would be faster to apply a more traditional liquid version for faster, wider coverage, or even a spray. However, this would be convenient to carry in a purse in case you suddenly realize you need something in a pinch.
