Great value shredder
Great Shredder, does what it says on the tin, doesn't bail out after only 5-10 mins like some other shredders. Easy to use, and easy to empty. Hopefully it'll do many years service.

Powerful for its size
Many years ago I purchased a Rexel 5-sheet shredder that has performed well. My requirements have changed, given the quantity of cardboard one accumulates from online shopping. Careful research suggests that heavy duty shredders aimed at the SOHO market should be capable of shredding cardboard. Indeed, the Bonsaii website states this as a capability for the C149-C. The next decision was to choose between a micro cut and a crosscut. As security isn't a concern for me, but capacity and speed of throughput are, I believe cross cutting shredders are a better choice. It's a pity that there isn't a common standard for shredders stating how long a model takes to shred a single sheet of A4 paper, and how long when the maximum rated sheets are shredded. Since I received my C149-C I have shredded about 25 kg of paper and cardboard - mostly cardboard. I have had several sessions which consisted of almost continuous use, and the overheating light has never come on. I have shredded paper, magazines and various types of cardboard. It seems to me that if the material to be shredded passes through the 5mm entry slot without being forced, it will shred. My old Rexel sounded as if it were straining when near its maximum capacity, and not infrequently jammed. The C149-C is quiet in normal operation, and a passing a thick piece of cardboard through it does change the sound of the motor, but it never feels as if it is about to quit. So far, it has tackled everything I have thrown at it. The build quality appears good, with a pleasing heft to the motor unit. The removable box for the cuttings slides in an out reasonably easily, although sometimes it needs an extra push to seat properly so the 'box is missing' light goes out. I purchased some 23-28l plastic shredder bags from another manufacturer, but found it isn't worth the hassle of using them to line the box - inserting the box and seeing how full it is become more difficult. I now don’t line the box and simply tip the contents into a bag when the box is about three quarters full. With a modicum of care spills are avoided and I repeat this 3 times before the bag fills up. I also bought lubricating oil and using it every second load, given I am shredding cardboard covered with sticky labels and adhesive packaging tape. Strangely, the one material the C149-C isn't so good at shredding is the brown paper strips that Amazon uses as padding in its shipments. The reason is this paper tears easily. Having been scrunched up, it can slightly jam as passes through the entry slot. whereas cardboard is pulled powerfully into the shredder, this paper simply tears. The other minor annoyance is the slot is wide enough to take A4 paper in portrait orientation. The 22cm "M1" envelopes Amazon uses only just fit, and the "A3" envelopes at 24cm need to be cut in half. As you may gather from the above, whilst it is early days, I am very pleased with my Bonsaii C149-C, especially as several competitors cost considerably more.

1 Hour Shredding - Woo Hooo! Working Well So Far...
Early impressions of this are very good. Got one of these after becoming increasingly frustrated at most shredders that cut out after anywhere between 3 and 6 minutes of shredding, and then need 30 minutes 'cool down' period before they will work again. In practice, this means that if you are decluttering paperwork that you end up filling far more bags than can be shredded because they shredders keep cutting out. There are quite a few Fellows shredders on here that cost upwards of £200 that still only work for a few minutes before cutting out. So, while this did strike me as expensive for something I really consider to be in the same breath as an item of office stationery, it is nevertheless relatively good value. The main selling point for me was the 1 hour run period. I have run it for two 1 hour stints now, and it has worked as marketed so far. Keeps on chomping away. Not too loud. Convent clear panel at the front so you can see when it's getting full. Easy to empty. Plenty of sheets per pass, so no issues on that front either. So, while it was frustration that led me to get this, I have to say that I have been very happy with it, and that it does genuinely solve a real (first world!) problem of shredding continuously for a decent time without stopping. Did think about the D model which has slightly smaller shredding. But the drawbacks of that are that it does less sheets and also doesn't chomp on CDs or Credit Cards, so I suspect the motor isn't as powerful. Glad I went for this C model. The motor is plenty powerful. Does 18 sheets rather than 12. Also does CDs and Credit Cards. And honestly, the shredding seems plenty small enough to me. Unless you are shredding state secrets or NASA codes I think you will find this one more than adequate. Only had it a week, so not sure on longevity or customer service, because it has worked fine. But it looks sturdy enough and was well-packaged, so I remain quite hopeful that the 5 star rating will stay. Well done Bonsai!

We had to send this back due to damage but, still a great shredder and highly recommended.
Despite being inside two boxes, this shredder was broken when it arrived. The back of the case had been smashed. However, we did test it before returning it because I intended to buy another one but this time in person when the lockdown is lifted. This may be a fairly expensive shredder but it is absolutely superb in what it does. It will chew through anything you can throw at it. And it doesn't slow down or overheat. It will easily keep shredding for the full hour that it states in the description. So in terms of performance, I cannot fault it. Just a shame it arrived damaged. But, it is definitely on my list to buy when the stores open again.

Excellent Quality Shredder Capable of Paper Shredding Documents for a long time (compared to other similar priced Shredders.)
This product is excellent. My partner has used it for a few days and it works very well, is quiet, is good quality, has a very good sized shredder waste bin and it seems to do a very good job with paper documents. My Partner has not tried this product with DVD or CD media, but it is very good with all types of paper documents. It has been used for a solid 40 minutes without a break and it worked reliably. This scanning task was also repeated later the same morning and this device continued to work well. It worked well the day after, and the day after that ! It's not easy to put waste paper bags into the shredding bin and closing the box correctly, however, without a clear plastic bag (a thin one not a carrier bag) the waste bin can be easily empted either directly into a large bag or nearby bin, obviously. This Bonsaii EverShred C149-C product is a fantastic product for the money. It offers so much value for money compared to the cheaper shredders, over the longer term. I appreciate cheaper devices can shred for 8-10mins continously, at best, unless you purchase larger office sized Rexel Mercury Shredders (and others) that are very large A3 size and cost upwards of £500 from various suppliers. Thanks Amazon for stocking this product. So far, post delivery, it has been very reliable. My partner has also shredded a number of bank documents (A4 size together, at the same time) and this device has not jammed once..

High capacity and doesn't overheat
Only had it for a day so possibly too early for a review but so far I'm really pleased with it. I've had a number of £50 shredders previously and most have lasted a few years before giving up but this one is in a different league. I bought it because I had an enormous pile of paperwork to dispose of as my last shredder bit the dust about 3 years ago so decided to get something a bit more industrial. The difference between this and my previous shredders is chalk and cheese, the Bonsaii just keeps running and running and over the course of 4 hours I'd converted a massive pile to shreds, filling the bin 6 times when squished down. I did oil the cutters each time I emptied the bin, this is an often overlooked but essential maintenance requirement. It can eat 18 sheets of 80gsm paper in one go but you can hear it starting to labour so I was feeding about 10 at a time which hardly causes the motor to slow at all. I had a few gaps whilst I filed the stuff that needed to be retained but I ended up with about 4 hours of almost continuous use without it overheating, my previous shredders would shut down after not much more than 15 minutes of 5 sheets at a time followed by at least a 30 minute wait. It has a fan built in which probably helps. Noise levels are low, you can easily hold a normal conversation whilst it's running. Now the mother load has been cleared it's life will become much easier so hopefully it will be in service for some years to come.

Perfect for the job
Well worth spending extra on this beast of a shredder. I had sooo much paperwork and it devoured it all no problem. Worth getting shredder sheets with this to keep it running well.

Unreliable poor quality shredder
I purchased 2 of these shredders and they both failed within the first year and both had the same fault. The motor on both of these failed and on one of them gave out a large electrical flash. This brand used to produce good quality shredders but it seems they have chosen to now use cheap parts. I won’t buy this brand again

This is a work horse!
If you have been using those $80 shredders, this thing will amaze you! It does one thing, and does it well. In a week, I have shredded three garden trash bags of paper, including over a dozen old cards. No jam or stopping from heat issues, yet! . I was using two old & cheap Fellowes shredders that had a 10 minute run with 60 minute rest rating. They would slow me down jamming and overheating. Then, one just failed and the other started sounding like the motor was giving out. . This Bonsaii has already done 3 times the shredding in less than half the time! I am about half way done and expect this shredder to keep going for years. . The 18 sheets warning is probably for #10 paper. I am shredding thicker stock, usually old bank statements and bills. I'd say about 10 of those sheets is the limit, but my old "8 page" units could only do about 5 of them. Pros: - It is relatively quiet. - It just keeps going. - It shreds two credit cards side-by-side. Cons: - The basket was broken just above the clear plastic window, making removal and insertion feel a bit flimsy. I went ahead and taped the break, because this thing is so much better than what I was using, and I wanted to get this shredding job done. I have started an email with Bonsaii to see if I can get a new basket. - Nothing else, really... Gripes: - I just bought this for $169.99, and 10 days later it has dropped to $142.79. Do I go to the trouble to return it and reorder it just to save $27.20 (~16%)? Maybe... I need to get this shredding done and this Bonsaii is doing it (:>) I would suggest this unit to any heavy shredder in the home and small office environment!

Trituradora
Es exactamente lo que esperaba y no se calienta si la utilizas un buen rato, lo que no me gustó es que es muy pequeño su contenedor y se llena muy rápido.
