Presto 04811 PopLite My Munch Hot Air Popcorn Popper

The best popper I've ever used. All but 4 kernels popped. Fluffy full kernels with no burnt ones. Easy to use. Very compact but yields a full 2 person serving. Very easy to clean and store. Would strongly recommend. 3rd popper I've purchased this month and the others were not good. I would buy this for family and friends.

I've searched hi and lo for a satisfactory popcorn machine. I figured I would never find one with the ones I've gone through. The typical ones (white one pictured) I find a lot to be lacking yet "almost" the only ones you can find. BUT this new one, first one pictured, is the BOMB. So, all the good points: 1. It pops MOST of the kernels...second pic...I believe there are about 8 kernels unpopped. 2. I can carry it with ONE HAND...this may not sound like a big deal but when your popcorn and machine are stored elsewhere, I want to be able to carry both! All the others, I have to carry with two hands, and the top plastic falls off etc etc. 3. Popcorn does not FLY EVERYWHERE! The others, I have to vacuum and find all the strays on my counter. 4. It is nice and compact and everything fits together...even the cord!! The other popcorn machine pictured (I bought both the green and white at the same time and had a similar one that I used previously (same or close to the same color to the one I like) that I HATED!! It was the WORST). I digress...you can see in the 3rd and 5th picture ALL the kernels that were not popped in the white one. The 3rd pic is all that was in the bottom of the bowl after being popped and the 5th picture is still what is in the popcorn machine after being popped. For comparison purposes, I put 1/4 cup in each machine. The poplite can only hold 1/4 cup (and, DO NOT overfill!!!) and I put the same amount in the white one so kernels would be equal. The last picture is where I took all the kernels from the bowl and bottom of white machine and popped them in my poplite. You can see, even after the kernels ran through one machine, the poplite AGAIN popped almost all the kernels. I am telling you, this is the BEST machine I've EVER had. 1/4 cup is not a lot of popcorn so for two people, you will have to pop twice but it is super fast so this is not an issue. One caveat...it does not have an on/off switch. If they could make any changes, this would be it. EVEN without this, I would give it 10 stars if I could I love it so much!!

Update 03/21/2026: Ok. I have used the 8 cup version every single day. Multiple times even. At that point, I decided to just upgrade the popcorn maker into the big version (white) that makes 15 cups. Out of 1/2 cup unpopped kernels put in there, the average unpopped kernel that's left is <5 which is FANTASTIC for the popcorn yield for this machine. Incredible. My soul is so happy. Original Post 03/03/2026: Heat level: high. Value for money: yes, totally worth it. Smell: none. Sturdiness: sturdy. Burn resistance: no burns. I bought this one after doing my due diligence because I didn't wanna pop them kernels in a pan and I am a lazy bum about it. So I bought this one. Checked it out. Tossed in 1/4 cups of the "Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Popcorn Kernels" and stuffed in the power. After 2mins, the popping noises stopped and I tossed it over, sprinkled some salt and sugar over it. Perfect. Makes 8 cups. I love high volume eating that's low calorie in relation. The popcorn maker left only TWO unpopped popcorn kernels! INSANITY! Easy to clean. Noise level is pretty quiet and the popping process is so quick. AND it's AIR-POPPED without any oil/butter (because I can't digest fats, no gall bladder anymore), do this is super healthy and super cheap and big bang for the bucks. I love this popcorn maker. Recommend!

This would have been a strong five stars, but I have to take one off because it comes in only one color, and one that definitely does not work in my little kitchen (or, I would think, most kitchens) -- which is a problem because I otherwise absolutely love it, and will use it every day, so would have liked to be able to keep it out rather than hidden in a cabinet. After trying and returning several other poppers, this is the only one that I was happy with. (Two others were of similar design and less expensive, but the lids wouldn't stay on,) This one pops almost every kernel, is very fast, and the popcorn (while not as crisp and tasty as oil-popped, which is to be expected), is the best air-popped I've found. I love that it has its own bowl, and the integral design for storage is clever. (It does throw a small amount of husk fragments onto the counter, but it stays right around the popper and takes a second to clean up.) But that color...I can't imagine why the company, like most, doesn't offer at least a white option.

Compact, easy to use and clean. I love being able to make enough popcorn for one person. Pour about 3 Tbsp. Kernels into the small metal cup. Place the clear plastic bowl/housing over the base, matching the handles. Remove the plastic top. Plug it in. The cup part heats quickly, let it all pop. Unplug unit. Replace the plastic lid, then just flip the whole unit upside down. The removable lid keeps the crumbs and unpopped kernels (which are very few) from coming out. Add a drizzle of butter and salt or whatever you like. Then I carry the whole clear bowl-top with me to watch a movie. I was able to pop 3 batches to make enough for my family, too. Genius design! I love mine!

I am 71 years old and have had many poppers over the years and I will say that without a doubt this one is the absolute best I have ever had. The Corn Pops to big round puffs and very few old maids, I mean like 2 or 3. The built in bowl and the way it cleans up and tucks away into itself are wonderful. I like my corn plain so this is wonderful. Never burned but always tasty. Buy it, you will never look back.

I love this little popcorn popper! It's incredibly easy to use, just add the kernels and let it work. It pops quickly, leaves very few unpopped kernels behind, and the built in serving bowl makes cleanup a breeze. It also doesn't turn off in the middle of popping like a couple of others I purchased did. The popcorn comes out light and fluffy every time. Highly recommend!

I love this formfactor, it's well built, easy to set up and run, pops quick, virtually zero cleanup or dishes, and takes up half the space of traditional air-poppers when nested for storage. It works really well, and I love the taste of air popped popcorn. As a bonus, since no oil was used to pop it, it's overall less greasy and guilty feeling, so I can add a little bit of butter to it. The amount the 8-cup sized one is perfect if my partner and I want to split a large bowl. My only complaints are: 1. The little outer shells of the kernels tend to fly out the vents at the top. I'm not sure how to prevent this, but they do make a bit of a mess on my counter. Maybe even smaller, more numerous vents would prevent this? 2. I don't like plugging it in to make it start, (minor PTSD from being shocked doing this with a different appliance before), and I would prefer an on/off button.

This popcorn maker is exactly what I was looking for! It fits in the cupboards of my RV. On the first test, it popped all of the kernels perfectly. It was easy to use, compact, and worked exactly as desired for my requirements. I'd highly recommend this product. It was pricey for a popcorn maker, but worth the money!
