lighweight, smooth, functional
I spent hours searching for a good case for my Surface Pro 2017, nothing looked good enough, eventually I gave a try to Kensington version and it turned out to be heavy and unreasonably expensive, so returned and got that one from MoKo. PERFECT fit, lighter than Kensington, the shape is slimmer, hole cuts are smother, and... $12 cheaper, so you can make your own conclusions :) I would recommend it. UPDATE: after 4 month of use: The case is still perfect, all ports are precisely cut so it is easy to connect USB hubs, eternal SSDs or headphones and I have no problem with frequently detaching and attaching the keyboard. I enjoy the rubber handle. UPDATE: 10 month later the case looks as new and Surface doesn't have a single scratch despite trips to the beach, countless airport checks at the customs and accidental floor drops from the reader falling asleep. Just one thing to mention - one of my wired headphones with a L-angle plug requires an adapter to fit inside the headphone-jack with this case. UPDATE: 1 year and 11 month later :) - the tablet as well as the case itself are still perfectly intact (that thin plastic bar at the bottom next to keyboard is also fine - it is a bit elastic, but turned out to be strong enough to survive for almost 2 years). I have to notice that I had little pleasure unplugging small USB drives, fingerprint reader, or Logitech adapter for MX Master mouse from the single tablet's USB port - these things are so small and short, that once plugged in with the case on there is very little left for fingers to grab, so it is hard to pull out the device (that's what she said). P.S. BTW I use this case with Surface Pro 6 and my Mom with Surface Pro 5 (2017), so it fits perfectly both models. I 'm sure that other owners of aforementioned models, who claimed that the case doesn't' fit, simply got a defective products. Good luck! P.S.S. This February (2020) I've got Surface Pro 7 (that one with a USB-C port and Iris Plus Graphics) from my employer, they bought me this case (I asked for it) and the keyboard with a builtin fingerprint reader - the case perfectly fits version 7, exactly the same way (!) as version 5 and 6, so I still would recommend it.

Protective, Slightly Heavy, a Couple Minor Inconveniences
The cover was very easy to install. As others have noted, the cutouts are spot-on. It adds a considerable amount of weight to the device, especially with the type cover on, but that's typically a cost for decent protection. For the most part it's very easy to handle the device with this cover on as it gives some good grip around the edges, but the added weight would make it hard to hold it up to read for any length of time. That's not how I use my Surface so it's not a concern of mine but it's worth noting. I read several reviews that stated that the thin plastic strip that goes across the bottom is very flexible and moves around a lot during handling and I'll confirm that. I understand the need to have a thinner strip there (to allow connection of they type cover) but I'm guessing that's the weakest part of this case and will likely be the first thing to break. If I grab the device by the bottom to pull it out of my bag, that thin strip tends to flex and slide and it makes it a little less secure in my hand and feels like it may break at some point. Not a huge deal, just something I need to be aware of and be careful of. Another minor inconvenience is that the stylus needs to be snapped in high enough to allow access to the cutout to swing the stand out. If you snap it in too high it then blocks the headphone jack. So there is a sweet spot that allows access to about 75% of the slot to grab the stand and pull it out while still allowing access to the headphone jack. Again, not a huge issue and not a deal breaker for me. All the cutouts are VERY clean and precise and that's much more important to me than the position of the stylus. Also worth noting... those that said that the stylus clip is strong weren't joking... so much better than the magnetic attachment to the tablet. I used to lose the stylus in my bag all the time because it would get knocked off. Not in this clip... It's a solid grasp without being obnoxiously hard to remove the stylus when needed. And the clip seems designed in such a way that it will not weaken over time but that's just an assumption at this point. The strap on the back is something I'll likely never need, but I'll note that unlike some other tablet cases that have that feature, this one seems VERY durable. It's a rubber-ish strap with great grip (imagine a very thick, wide, resistance band), it's plenty tight and feels like it will outlast the case itself. Often times that strap is cheap elastic material that ends up staying stretched out or it frays and looks like crap. Not this one. It's very nice. It lays completely flat on the case back and is recessed just enough that it won't catch on things as I slide it in and out of my bag or if I slide the device across a table. The little rubber band in the corner that holds the type cover closed is a nice addition. It seems very thin where it attaches to the case itself, so we'll see if it holds up. But as a feature it's a good one if it doesn't break. All in all this seems like a great case so far and suits my needs perfectly. I use my Surface for work and I'm in and out of a vehicle often and I wanted some edge protection in case of a drop. I also use it on the treadmill and I feel better having some extra protection there as well.

Gets the job done!
This case basically does exactly what it say it would. It fits around the surface pro really nice and tight. It does feel like it will protect the surface pro in the act of a fall. The pen holder is nice and tight. It is easy to press the pen in (it does kind of this pop in effect to let you know that it is in there and secured). I found it easier to take the pen out when you just lift one end out and let the rest follow. The pen holder does block the section that is cut out to pull out the surface pro stand, but if you simply reach behind the surface pen you will be able to pull it out without removing the pen. At first I thought the bottom part of the case did not fit but as you press on it and wiggle it a little, it is pretty secured. The only thing that I would have like is for the bottom corners to actually have rubber just to simply help the surface pro to not slide when on certain areas. The material is more of a durable rugged soft plastic-ish (do not let the plastic word scare you, a very secured and sturdy case) instead of rubber. I would have also like something to cover the stand, but preferred this look of a case over all the cases that did cover the stand. Keep in mind that the part that has the cut out for the memory card is not gripped onto the surface pro, it kinds of just lay on the side, however, every other part of the case if gripped onto the surface pro (except for the bottom so that the keyboard can still attach and detach). I love the little rubber part that hold the keyboard up to the screen when you're not using the surface pro. Overall this is a good case. I do think it will get the job done in regards to protecting your surface pro in small drop accidents. I do recommend getting this!

I just recieved this product and it looks good so far! It fits my Surface Pro 6 perfectly. It's a one piece case that snaps onto your device and seems pretty sturdy so far. I saw some complaints about the size of the rubber hand strap, but my smaller adult hands fit there comfortably. Larger hands may have trouble though. Other reviews saying that the built in pen holder is SUPER tight dont lie - you need to push it a bit to get it in and give it a pull to get it out, but I dont mind because I feel it's very secure. I like the kickstand and keyboard compatibility. The only slight design flaw I see in this is that since the frame of the case is wider than my device, I have to bend the case slightly to get my fingers under the kickstand to pull it out. You can see this in one of my photos. Overall, it looks like a great product so far and it makes me feel more comfortable carrying it around like a tablet. I will update this reviews if I notice any changes.
