A new model? Love it, but missing a few features we liked on the old one.
This is the third Cuisinart 6 qt slow cooker we have purchased - we liked it so much, we bought it for our family members. The best part of this cooker is you don't have to brown the meat in a separate pan, you can do it all in the cooker under the "brown" feature and then switch to "Slow Cook" by pressing a few buttons. Pretty convenient. We think this is the latest version of this cooker because we noticed two features were different on this model: 1) it does NOT have a retractable cord, which we really liked in the older version, and 2) the cooking pan seems shallower than the previous version we bought even though they are the same quart size. Could be the difference in the pan material, which is much lighter. All and all, we use this cooker at least two times a week. It's great!

Practical and Easy to Use
I bought a second Cuisinart Multicooker MSC-600 in Stainless Steel because I loved the original one that I had worn out. The cook can brown meat in it and then start the slow cooker feature either on low or on high. I love to prepare soups in it.

Keep shopping. Non-stick coating is flaking already
I’ve probably used my cooker a dozen times and the inside coating is already flaking! I have not used hard utensils with it. I have only cooked roasts in it and always use a plastic spatula to lift it out. I have never put it in the dishwasher. I love this cooker, but will not replace it with the same brand because of this problem. It was a gift and I hate that the giver wasted so much money….

Non-Stick Coating comes off after only a few uses
I really loved this slow cooker the first couple of times I used it. The browning feature is terrific, I love the range of heat and time settings and the keep warm feature. It cooks really evenly without any annoying hot spots you find on some slow cookers. Unfortunately, after the third use I noticed the non-stick coating on the bottom of the insert pan was bubbling up. These bubbles broke open and the coating started peeling off on the next use. I contacted Cuisinart, and they promptly sent a replacement insert. I was thrilled with the great service and thought I must have just gotten a bad insert. Not the case! The replacement insert did the exact same thing. Long story short, Cuisinart has replaced the insert three times, and on the last replacement they informed me they would not replace it again. Since this problem makes the cooker unusable, that means I need a new slow cooker well before the end of the overall warranty for the product. I've always been a fan of Cuisinart products, and checked the overall review score when I purchased. I should have actually read the poor reviews, because they all mention this same issue. It's a shame that Cuisinart hasn't invested in fixing this problem, as it means I won't be buying a Cuisinart the next time around. Addendum: I spoke to a friend who had this same slow cooker. After comparing our similar issues, we think this may only happen if the browning feature is used. My neighbor had this cooker for approximately 6 months, with regular use, and had no issues, but had never used the browning feature. She decided to try out that feature, really liked it, and started using it more often. She says that the non-stick bubbling only started after 3 - 4 times of using the browning setting. I used mine right from the start, and the problem started after the third use. Possibly the browning setting is too hot for the rating of the non-stick coating? This is only a theory. We'd need input from other users to see if it proves out.

Love this
This is the best slow cooker I have ever purchased. It is so convenient that you can brown your meat in the cooker prior to slow cooking. It does an awesome job.

Nonstick surface
I too have had problems with the nonstick surface potting and coming loose. This is a perfect cooker in every other way. Is there a way for Cuisinart to issue a stainless steel replacement insert? I will try to co ti ue using with liners but because of the many functions I don’t think that’s going to work long run. Very disappointed.
