Blue October's upcoming album, 'Spinning the Truth Around Part 1' will be followed by Part 2 in early 2023. Throughout 2020-21, Furstenfeld wrote and recorded both albums with the band at his Up/Down Studios in San Marcos, Texas. For that initial spark, Justin asked himself, " If Springsteen had to say goodbye to someone he really cared for, how would he do it? " The feeling of the song, Justin says, is " like a sunset, bittersweet. It's beautiful when it's shining. Sad when it's gone. Just grateful that you got to be a part of it."

Disappointed
I've been a big Blue October fan for over 12 years now and this is by far their worst album to date. From fantastic albums like "Foiled" and "Any man in America" to the live album "Argue with a tree" which were awesome. Blue October, over the last couple of albums have gone from being a great band to a mainstream wannabe pop group.Very disappointed

Not like their previous material.
This album is all over the place. Without wanting to write any sort of critical piece, I personally feel that this is a brave and significant change from what a person might expect and I suggest hearing it before committing to purchase.I really enjoy their previous material.

The worst album by the band by miles
I really love this band and they have made many excellent records, but this is not one. It sounds computer generated, it is entirely bland, mid tempo drudgery. Justin has a superb voice. It is completely unused here. They usually have giant hooks and massive choruses. All absent here. It’s lift music. This makes me sad to say!
