You select your own container and what plants you put into it so it is very customizable.

I found some terrarium containers on sale and they were sitting around waiting for plants when I discovered this kit. It had all the items needed for a small terrarium so I took the plunge and ordered one. It too sat around until I could find a plant. Today I picked up a Venus Fly Trap and tonight I planted the terrarium. It was so easy. I checked out the website mentioned on the insert first. Quite easy. I appreciate that the soil is not full of vermiculite which always seems to migrate to the top of the soil and looks unsightly. I used most of everything in the kit (had some moss and charcoal left over for the next planting and I didn’t use the gravel for now). I just ordered another kit. Buying a kit might cost more than purchasing all the components separately but it’s convenient and I won’t have a bunch of stuff lying around.

There was very little there. Not enough even for a small terrarium if you don't use the soil because it is not good for carnivorous plants. I saved the soil to use at a later date. I did not open the package. When I went to use it later it stunk of mold which is not good for plants.

There is no actual glass bowl or terrarium included in this kit, which was kind of misleading.That being said, I loved all the stuff that came in the kit! I watched a tutorial on their website about how to put my terrarium together and it turned out very cute. I just had to buy a terrarium separately 🙃
