SIMOLIO Wireless TV Speakers for Hard of Hearing Seniors w/Bluetooth, 621D

Eureka! A product that does it all, the most important of which is deliver distortion free sound with sufficient power for all, including seniors and me and my severe hearing impaired brethren. Yes, I’m hearing sounds that were lost to me. My TV comes thru flawlessly, and others who might be watching control their own sound. The sounds of the music of my youth makes me feel young again, I.m 90. And a bonus? You can take this sound with you. The BT wireless speaker can be paired with your phone, tablet, etc: and for many people used like a radio(no pods, no earphones, or headphones), I’m not so lucky but my wife is! But, that’s OK. There’s enough power that I can mute/remove my hearing aids and hear sounds like I haven’t heard in a long time. I just hook a good pair of noise canceling headphones to the 3.5 mm jack on the speaker and I’m ‘home free’. Even the supplied earphones work well, but for us with hearing aids there are better choices. Incidentally, I had a few ‘glitches’ getting started (mostly because I didn’t pay attention to small details) but the ‘support team’ bore with me, gave me the help I needed and I wound up a ‘winner’ so to them I tip my hat. Five stars times 2 for this product.

Really like this unit. I bought it strictly to take with me when I’m traveling because I cannot hear the TV from across the room in some hotel rooms. I am hard of hearing but some hotels has a volume control limit on their TV’s that you can turn them up as much as you want and the volume only goes loud to a certain level and stops, the volume control graph bar goes to max but the actually volume really doesn’t reach that level. This is where the hunt went for this unit. I have a pair of wireless speakers already in my bedroom that I bought years ago so I knew what to look for; the problem was finding it because all the external speakers are Bluetooth now. Being that it’s not my TV and the hotels I would have to know if the TV is Bluetooth compatible, not really a good option to bank on. The volume control is very loud all the way at max. Not sure what other reviews noted that it wasn’t, I can’t even listen to it at max. You have three tone levels, treble, normal, and bass settings. I first had it on the bass setting but it sounded somewhat muffled at times and reverberated. Switched it to normal and it sounded so much better and clearer, think that setting just cuts the high end of the 20K frequency spectrum to make it sound more bassy but it doesn’t work for me, so I keep it on normal. It’s a good solid portable speaker. The features that I opted for when buying it was the independent volume control and all the cable connections to hook it up (will get back to this one), plus the ability to plug both units to a source individually with a power adapter. It does come with rechargeable batteries but knowing you can plug the speaker up to a source and not worry about battery life is a bonus. Okay…about all those cable hook ups that comes with this unit. This is the complete hook up package and very glad I got this unit verse some of the others I was looking at. You might not think you need all those cable connections but it’s good to have them, then not to have them at all. Case in point, this past weekend I was at a hotel over the weekend my usual optical hook up and cable output on the TV to the speaker base unit would not output any sound to the speaker. Even going to ‘menu settings’ for audio/sound on the TV it would not give me the option to output or turn on the output through the optical link on the TV. Called the front desk to have someone come up to reprogram the audio settings to get sound out for externals speakers and found out since they are using a TV provider everything; even the TV controls is controlled through the providers box and it’s nothing that can be fixed on their side. (Explains the limited volume control on some of these hotel TV’s) Roadblock…lucky for me I bought all my cables that came with this unit and swapped the optical cable out for the 3.5mm phono cable and plugged it into the ‘Speaker Out’ on the back of the TV and the receiving end in the speaker base unit. I’m really not that smart and had to look online to find out I could do this with this TV (LG model) but just having that 3.5mm plug was all good and can’t stress enough if you move around from TV – TV and housing bring all your cables with you as back up, it’s all you need to get this unit working as advertised.

My friend who is hard of hearing wanted a sound bar for the TV so he could hear better. The problem with that is he has to turn it up so loud for him to hear then it is too loud for everyone else. This small speaker is placed on the end table next to him on the couch and he can adjust the sound just right for him and not be too loud for others. His wife really likes it when he puts on the headphones so she doesn't have to listen to the TV at all if she doesn't want to, or she can adjust the TV to exactly the right volume for her. Time will tell how reliable this is, but for now it is perfect for what was needed. The speaker was super easy to set up. Nice that it came with two AC power adapters, one for the base station/transmitter and one for the speaker. I connected the transmitter to the TV with the supplied optical digital audio cable (there is also a standard RCA type stereo audio cable included), plugged the AC adapter in and turned on the power switch. Then plugged the speaker's AC adapter to power and turned up the volume knob. That's all there was to it. Plugging in the supplied headphones to the back of the speaker turns off the speaker, and the volume knob adjusts volume for the headphones. A switch on the back allows you to adjust the "tone" to have more treble or bass to your preference. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is while the audio is pretty good, it isn't "Bose" quality and if you turn it up too far (which is way to loud anyway) it distorts somewhat. For the price though it does a very nice job. It also comes with spare headphone foam ear pieces. All in all a very good value.

Really had high hopes for this product because was impressed with the fact that it came with all necessary cables plus a set of stethoscope headphones. The good: - Easy setup, intuitive operation - Decent sound quality - Versatile cable/power options - Relatively compact design - Independent volume control* The bad: - *Independent volume control means muting TV doesn't do anything (LG) - Appears to have a timeout function so have to turn off then back on after idle for some time - Above issue means that volume position can't be set and left alone between watching sessions - Headphone jack is on the back and overrides speaker (can't leave plugged in/have to reach behind) - Tone switch is also on the back of the unit so have to reach behind to make adjustments The unimportant: - Doesn't have a remote (only mentioning since it was in the feature rating section) - Uses power brick which is difficult to fit on full power strips (nice to have 2 power adapters, though) - Power lights are a bit bright but easily hidden For what it's worth, my parents were happy with this for the short time they used it but the headphones were never used and the volume kept creeping up due to continued hearing troubles (one with good hearing stopped reaping the benefit) before it all became moot for them.

SIMOLIO Wireless Portable TV Speakers with TV Audio Listening Assistance, Voice Highlighting TV Speakers for Hard of Hearing, Seniors and Elderly, 100ft Range, Extra Headset & 2 Adapters -SM-621D We got the TV speaker because one member of the family has a little harder hearing than the rest, and we thought this might be a good way to help them hear without making it too loud for everybody else. The wireless TV speaker comes packaged in a retail box with photos of the product on the outside and a nice picture of a wiring diagram. Inside the box, the speaker is padded by a couple of pieces of styrofoam. (In our area, styrofoam is not recyclable, so it would be more environmentally responsible if the manufacturer used the molded cardboard packing style. Style. In addition to the speaker assembly itself, there is a large wired earphone, the charging base for the speaker assembly along with a wallwart-style power adapter, an earphone-style extension jack, an RCA to headphone jack converter cable, a second power supply, a piece of optical wire ( and first glance about 6 ft long) and a user's manual with a quick start guide. There are a lot of pieces here, so time to read the instructions. The quick guide for installation lists three methods for hookup. You can use the digital optical connection, the RCA analog connection, or the aux /3.5 mm connection ( AKA headphone jack ). I'm planning on using the optical connection, because we have a current speaker bar hooked up through that, and I have purchased an optical splitter connection. ( You have to buy that extra if you'd want one, as they don't come with the kit. ) The quick setup booklet talks only about connections and doesn't mention anything about use or the fact that there are two charging adapters that come with it. Time to read the big book of instructions. The instructions note that the two power adapters are one for the transmitter power supply and one for the speaker power. That way you don't have to take the speaker back to the charging cradle to charge every time if you have a convenient place to plug in power near where you wish to use the portable speaker. One of the things the instructions mentioned is that the stethoscope-style headset that comes with it has memory foam ear tips, which they suggest replacing every 30 to 60 days. The reason I mentioned this is that there are no replacement ear tips included with the kit, so I'm guessing you would have to order them from the manufacturer directly. The stethoscope-style earphones used would appear to be a standard headphone jack, so I'm fairly certain you could plug in any style of headphones you wish. Interestingly enough, on the back of the unit where your power and headphone plugins are, there is a door over the battery with a sticker on it that says," When speaker is powered by adapter directly, remove the battery to avoid battery swelling." " This seems like it would be kind of a pain in the neck to do every time you use the power plug-in. I opened the battery door and underneath it is a flat cellphone-style battery. I don't see why they couldn't make the charger so that it would shut off when the battery is full. Cell phone chargers have been doing that for years, why couldn't they install a circuit that does that here? Once you have everything hooked up, the base sinks automatically with the wireless speaker. The rotating knob in the front of the speaker is also the on/off switch, just like older radios. You turn the knob to the right, you'll hear a click, and then after a moment it will make the wireless connection and you have sound. The sound from the wireless speaker is pretty good, better than smaller headphones or earbuds.

Légère, bonne autonomie, possibilité de brancher un casque dessus (fourni). Toute la connectique est fournie et aussi un 2ème chargeur pour alimenter/recharger directement l'enceinte sans passer par son support (déporté car branché sur la télé). Je recommande ce produit sans hésitation. Je veux aussi signaler que le service clients Simolio est top ! Joignable facilement, cordiaux, ils répondent aux messages rapidement et font tout leur possible pour satisfaire leurs clients. J'ai du les contacter une 1ère fois en février 2023 pour un problème de batterie, et ils m'en ont envoyé une très rapidement sans aucune difficulté. Ma 2ème requête ce mois ci car l'enceinte était en panne (selon les informations de ma mère et ne pouvait plus s'en servir). Par prévention et avoir une batterie au cas où, ils m'en ont envoyé une autre tout aussi rapidement que la 1ère fois. Finalement le soucis venait du câble audio entre l'embase et la télévision. En conclusion, Service Clients exemplaire que l'on aimerait retrouver chez tous les vendeurs !!!

This product is amazing. We love that we can now all listen to the TV at a comfortable level and my Dad, who is hard of hearing, has quality sound beside him. We have had great customer service from the moment the product was shipped. Asking to make sure we received the product, to helpful installation instructions and prompt return of questions when we had an issue. It was easy to setup and operate. GREAT GREAT PRODUCT

This was a big success with my mother in-law. She normally has her TV on full volume. With this device installed (very easily) she is able to have the wireless speaker right beside her armchair. The sound is extremely clear on the normal setting, though it also has a tone setting optimised for speech. The volume has thankfully come down to a much more sensible level and my ears have stopped bleeding. She’s very non technical, so the simple single rotary volume/power knob is ideal. The base station has to be powered by a mains power supply, but the speaker unit is rechargeable if you place it on the base when not in use. However, to avoid having to recharge, a second power supply is provided for the speaker unit. It is advised to remove the lithium battery pack if this is the chosen setup. The speaker unit is light and easily portable, the size and shape of a small handbag. A simple stethoscope style headset is also supplied, which works fine, but sort of defeats the object of the wireless speaker. There are several possible connection options at the TV end. All necessary leads are included. A comprehensive manual is also supplied, which I studied AFTER quickly setting up 😀

Der Simolio Funklautsprecher kam schnell, gut und sicher verpackt bei uns an. Er steht nun in ca 4mtr Entfernung vom TV vor uns auf dem Tisch und tut genau das, was er soll. Den TV-Ton störungsfrei zu transportieren. Obwohl das Gehäuse aus Plastik ist, hat er LS einen recht angenehmen Klang, den man hinten am Regler noch in jeweils 1 Stufe höher oder niedriger zur Standardeinstellung verändern kann. Dadurch kommt der Ton, auch durch die Nähe zum Zuhörer, deutlich klarer zum Ohr, als über die Distanz vom TV. Nuscheltöne aus dem TV bleiben zwar Nuscheltöne, aber unsere fragenden Blicke zum Tischnachbar, ob er/sie verstanden habe, was da gerade im TV gesagt wurde, haben sich merklich reduziert. Wir möchten den kleinen Helfer nicht mehr missen.
