MORINU Norinu Tofu Soft 349g (PACK OF 12)

I’ve used this tofu in so many different ways, it’s great. I would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful stuff but expensive.

Bought to make savoury sauces, cake toppings and stuffing jacket potatoes.

This tofu is the soft version that good for mash or mix with other ingredients. I use it to make sauces, soup, or eat it straight out of the box with maple sirup. Yup!For fry or hot pot etc. maybe better to use the firm version.Also, this tofu by Mori Nu is very good, but seems Amazon have low stock of it, as I was waiting for 3 months for this! Luckily they are introducing another brand and it's organic Clearspring Organic Ambient Tofu 300 g (Pack of 6), as good or better. At the moment subscribing both, as one softer and one firmer

I was not expecting an empty cardboard envelope - but this is what I got! Horrified! I have 12 people coming for dinner this evening and nothing to feed them!!

I wanted to have silken tofu, and I tend to buy them in bulk, however, they didn’t have the firm or extra firm when I ordered. This is my first try at soft silken tofu and it’s not for me. It’s super watery and it has a strong soy taste that cannot be masked easily when preparing food with this,This is just my opinion though, I’m sure many people would like this, but definitely not for my taste buds :)

Product which is not fresh with highly bad smell we throygh in dustbin

Good product. Nice taste and consistency. Blends well for sauces and smoothies. The shelf stable packaging is nice for storing. I like having things like this on hand for hurricane season. This is also great for adding nutrition to food. It can be blended into creamy soups and dips without overpowering it. The product appears to be good quality.

Soft and slightly sweet, loved it

Bought this to make super low calorie oil free mayo. The recipe cost ends up being around $5.50 for 30 oz (standard mayo jar size today), which isn't bad, but you do this to save calories (9 per tablespoon), not money. The recipe for oil free mayo called for Mori-Nu "firm", but "soft" was cheaper. They were very specific that you have to use Mori-Nu Silken, that regular tofu in the refrigerated case won't work. That's actually great because Mori-Nu has a long shelf life in your pantry without refrigeration. Pretty good emergency food as well. After blending and making the mayo, it came out very creamy and tasty, but kind of light in body. I do wonder if I should have just paid more and bought the firm or extra firm silken tofu the recipe called for. Some people even recommend extra firm. Since I bought 12 boxes, it's going to be awhile before I make my next purchase. The taste is interesting, but like the best tofu, kind of non-descript. It takes on whatever you season it with.

I love this tofu it's good for soups, desserts, lots of different things. Highly recommend if you are looking for a soft tofu. It doesn't have that strong odor that the harder tofu's have.
