Not value for money. Doesn't kill any flies! Pointless purchase. Very disappointing.

RECEIVED QUICKLY AND SECURELY PACKAGED.SILENT WHEN TURNED ON. SOLIDLY MADE.HAVE NO IDEA WHY BEEN SENT A 2 PRONGED PLUGGED INSTEAD OF 3 PRONGED PLUGGED.HAD TO ORDER AN ADAPTER.3 PRONGED PLUGGED UNIT WORKS PERFECTLY AND SILENTLY. DOESNT BOTHER CATS.FABULOUS!

I bought this after having seen it working in a friends house. It worked well, zapping flies and mosquitos. So it gets the job done. I haven't used it outside yet only inside at night with the window open.The down sides are that it comes with a very short power cable, so you are limited in where you can place it without an extension. Also it is very bright. I tried having it in my bedroom at night but its so bright it lights up the entire room. I'm not sure if you can have a dimmer version that is still effective, maybe that is just the trade off, but at least it kills the mosquitos and it was fairly cheap.

I recently bought another cheaper fly zapper from Amazon which was absolutely crap. This is one is so much better. The light slightly flicker's which really attracts the flies. So rather than look at a cheaper option just go for this one because it's brilliant.

I recently moved in to a new house and as it's close to farmland I was plagued by small flies buzzing around my head all day and as I work from home on video calls it was quite distracting.I looked at this product as it seemed to have good reviews, and I thought it looked pretty compact.When it arrived it was bigger than had expected, but I like that it looks a little bit like the light at the top of the TARDIS so I thought I would give it a whirl.A lot of the reviews I read seemed to suggest that the crack when a fly hits it makes them jump, or startles them, I believe they must have very quiet homes as yes it does make a noise but it's not intrusive (although my dogs do look over to it from time to time if they're asleep below.)My only disappointment was that it doesn't seem to attract the larger variety of house fly or bluebottle. But I can't fault the device for that. I did buy something clearly marked as a mosquito killing light. So all in all I'm quite happy with the purchase, and intrigued to take it outside and see what it does when enjoying the garden in the evening.

The advert says it's waterproof and for outdoor use, but the instructions in the box say DO not use it outside. It's probably very good, but I was t it for outdoors

Overall, it works as expected.Unfortunately the power cable is approx 1m which is less than ideal if you want to hang it as per the design as most homes do not have a plug socket 3 feet off the floor other than in the kitchen, which is not where I want to hang it.I'd have used an extension cable to compensate but the instruction booklet says not to plug it into an extension cable.There was no mention of cable length in the product description.
