Some of the best Money I have ever spent
These boots are fantastic and is honestly the best money I have spent on an item. I have now trekked the Yorkshire dales 3-peaks, and the UK national 3-peaks challenges with these, and put them through heavy rain, mud, rocky trails, and long distant walks. Through it all, they have been extremely comfortable and COMPLETELY water proof (while walking through heavy rain and muddy puddles, my feet were the only dry part of my body). They feel solid and provide all-round support across the entire foot including around the ankle preventing strains and over 26 mile treks across mountains, did not give me any blisters. They may feel heavy, but I found this a good thing because it gave me the confidence to know they will support twists and prevent ankle injuries on uneven ground. If I have to think of a future improvement, it would only be to have a better grip on the undersole, as on wet and loose gravel, it was a little slippery.

Salomon boots fail less than a years wear
Item has been used moderately less than a year. The sides and flexi-points have failed at multple points. After looking after the prodcut and spending signifcant amount this is very disappointing. Would not recommend.

Severe nipping
I have had several pairs of these walking boots . However this latest pair purchased on the 5th Jan 24 I’m am now unable to use . They nip to the point where I simply can’t walk in them , different place on each boot though the left on the top of my foot it worse . Done 30 miles no better . Too late to return , won’t be buying another pair . Cost £224 .

Very comfortable but not durable
Very comfortable and waterproof but durability is a major concern. First pair: sole detached off after 8 months. Replacement pair: sides starting to separate after 4 months.

Waterproofing fails within 3 Years...
...and Salomon refused to do anything about it after 2 years - even with light use/wear. Otherwise great boots, but with a useful life of less than 3 years, I suggest you buy another boot.

Best boots for comfort I ever owned. My go to every time.
Best hiking boots you can put on and hike straight out of the box. Great for long distance hikes. Only drawback they have a limited life, but so worth it for comfort. Im now on my 4/5 pair. They do tend to deteriorate with long term wear. Hiked 300 miles straight in them last summer with no issues the only blister I got was under hard skin, taped it on day 5 of 16 and had no further issues. averaged around 17 miles a day.

Salomon ist mein Hersteller!
Ich liebe die Schuhe von Salomon. Es gibt meine Größe (49 1/3) und die passen, sind bequem und sehr gut verarbeitet. Der Hersteller macht alles richtig.

Excellent footwear worth double its cost
Superb in every way. A problem with the laces undoing even with very strong tightening. Otherwise wonderful. I only can wish that a quarter of any other of my possessions were as good.

Worth for long hikes, a travel companion
It is true to size unlike other Salomon models which runs narrow. It has great cushioning and provides ample ankle support for longer duration. The laces are long enough to tie and comfortable to walk. It is not recommended for daily use but can be worn for bike rides, 3-5 days trips, trekking and hiking. Not recommended for sunny days as the feet runs hot after an hour due to 6” shaft height, no place vent the heat. Definitely worth the price and catch everyone’s eyes during outings.

Great fitting boot and super comfortable but the quality is terrible.
These boots are amazingly comfortable and suitable for very light use. After 3 months of use every weekend, they have failed in the Australian conditions with sandstone on the popular trails. I had versions 1 and 2 of this boot previously and they lasted more than a year - and I never had the rubber on the toe pulling away. But the construction quality has deteriorated substantially in this version. For the cost of the boots I suggest looking at Scarpa and Lowa.
