Good speed, quality and compatability. Decent value but wont last heavy use cases.

I purchased this to connect a friends UAD Apollo solo. This requires a fully compliant and high power spec cable. This did the job perfectly. The cable is be aware very short. 1.6 feet, odd measures to use. This is from tip to tip of connection not cable length so if you have something that is only 12 inches away from your usb c thunder port then I highly recommend it. 18 inches, forget it. I can’t say how reliable it is going to be but appears well made.

Expectedly short (only needed a few inches) but unexpectedly curly. Happily supports my thunderbolt/USB-C dock with 2 1080p monitors and other peripherals. Unlike the previous cable, doesn't disconnect when knocked.

The cable is very short, about 15cm from end to end, so do not order if you plan to connect anything at distance. This cable is passive in nature which justifies why it is so short in length. It feels robust enough and has a plastic matt feel to it. Having owned it for a number of months, ordered end of October 2019 at a cost of £19.99, this cable lives up to the claimed specs. I use it to transfer data from my laptop (Thinkpad) to an external NVMe M.2 SSD (Samsung) when on the move and get good speeds that are way faster than USB 3.0. I have not included any screenshots of speed tests as I argue these are subjective, as each person’s use case will vary. I give overall 4 stars since I wish it was cheaper for what it is.

Anker, once again, delivers on a top quality product. This Thunderbolt 3.0 cable is authentic and is capable of the full 40 Gbps transfer speed (tested). I've used this to support a 4K monitor from my MacBook Pro with perfect image display, unnoticeable lag and zero frame rate issues - the difference between using this and the included USB-C to USB-C cable from my monitor was staggering. The USB-C cable simply couldn't handle the data but this Thunderbolt cable worked a breeze. Thunderbolt 3.0 is still very expensive, but you seriously get what you pay for. Anker seems to provide the cheapest (genuine 40 Gbps) cable at this length so this deal is actually very good value (I searched extensively for a cheaper alternative and found nothing). I would say that, in general, a cable of this length will be too short for most applications - but it is inevitable that you're looking at paying above £50 for the longer 1 m or 2 m cables that provide the full 40 Gbps transfer rate. Take comfort in Anker's excellent reputation and don't hesitate purchasing this Thunderbolt cable.

Reviewers have complained about this cable being too short, but I beg to differ. This is a tidy little cable to use to power your iPad Pro for use with a Macbook with OSX Catalina's "Side Car" for use as a 2nd monitor. My 2nd monitor will of course be right next to my computer; I don't need 10 miles of surplus cable cluttering up my desk. Further, the cable is long enough to use a USB-C device on your lap travelling in a vehicle using the "Anker USB C Car Charger, 42W PowerDrive Speed+ Duo, 2 Port USB Car Charger". I can work with either my Macbook Pro connected to the cigarette adaptor or my iPad Pro 2019 12.9" in the passenger seat of a car with no problems. This is a great cable for the described uses. Don't be put off by those reviewers saying it's too short.

I bought a used Anker 577 Thunderbolt 3 dock that didn't come with the original Thunderbolt 3 cable. I thought the Apple cable would be ok to use the dock with my MacBook Pro. I was wrong as all I could do was charge my Mac and charge my phone. I thought I'd try the Anker Thunderbolt 3 cable and wow - a lifesaver! The dock works as it should with the full functionality :)

No dislikes so far. Came with a branded velcro band on it for cable management. The rubber on the cable itself is pretty thick but still bendy. The ends are small and fit my Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra while wearing an otterbox case on it. It charges pretty damn fast through my laptop thunderbolt port. I dunno what else to say. It does what its supposed to and its quality hits all points. Recommended.

I ordered this cable thinking that it will be a long cable considering its value, but when I got the delivery, it was a small 1.6ft cable and i could not find the cable length mentioned anywhere. extreme unusable for any of my applications. please order carefully.

Works perfectly well. Transfer speeds and charging speeds are fast as advertised.
