Oximeter
I was a bit worried about whether or not this would be ok, as some of the other reviews made it sound a little sketchy. It does what it says it'll do. And I've checked it against a smart watch & an NHS oximeter. It's as accurate as the NHS one. The display is decent. You can change the orientation of the screen. It's easy to use, just press the button & pop it on your finger, wait a short while for it to settle & capture a reading. It's pretty good quality, though it's quite a bit chunkier than the one I was borrowing from the NHS. The size difference doesn't affect use. I think it's good value for money. I would say that regarding some of the reviews that say it's inaccurate, it will glitch if you're not sitting still or move your hands unnecessarily. And if you keep trying different fingers in quick succession, it will get confused. You need to put it on & give it a chance to make sure it's measuring properly. It's not like the NHS ones where the reading is immediately accurate, but that's where the compromise is - you're not paying upwards of £20-30+, so it's not going to be an immediate accurate reading. You're paying less & compromising with waiting a little for the reading. I think it's a great little bit of kit & perfect for home monitoring if you have a respiratory disease, like myself. I would definitely recommend this item.

Simple and portable.
Cannot complain. Came with the batteries. Decent portable size. Clear light up display that you can flip with the press of a button. Easy to use and provides a reading fairly quickly. Great if you need to monitor your blood Oxygen saturation. I use for peace of mind whenever I'm not feeling right, due to ongoing health issues. I've had it for months and months now and I've not needed to change the batteries yet.

Slightly inaccurate- but consistent. Decent price. Still figuring it out!
I bought this item when my husband had Influenza A and pneumonia (he was in Scotland and I was working in The States) I was terrified and in a position where I couldn't fly back to be with him- and I bought this as part of a care package so that he could monitor his blood oxygen level. Knowing he could check his O2 level regularly bought me a little peace of mind. However, this particular monitor seems to run on the low side by 7-8 numbers...which is significant when considering whether or not to call an ambulance or go to the hospital. I'm not sure if it needs to be calibrated, or what. It _does_ work consistently, and it's never (to our knowledge) erred on the high side. This is a relatively new purchase, and we'll try some things then contact the company if it's still reading low.

Faulty - incorrect readings - second one the same - dangerous
Bought two one after the other and they are both rubbish. Give false readings - too high - which is very dangerous when someone has constant fluctuations which need hospitalisation.. Please check what it reads against one you know is right (ie one at hospital). We bought one for a serious condition to be monitored, which needs hospitalisation and this just wasnt giving anywhere near the right reading when checked against the hospital one at the same time. As a result it leaves you in a dangerous positon. It is suppsoed to be up and ready and taking a reading in 8 seconds, it takes around 45 seconds - then it just sticks at the first number It also didnt give the alert beep when the reading was actually 82 (using another one at hospital) as this showed 95, which could have left someone with poor eyesight in a dire position as no audible and anyone else thinking they are ok. Despite messages over 4 days the seller didnt respond. Tried another battery still had the same problem.
