Consider a 'glow in the dark' paint or a color to match your home.The problem is that with four sets, you might end up with more original creations than expected.

I Bought these mostly for the wooden hands an I'm not disappointed in the least. As with most of the reviews I also found them to be a very snug fit and needed some motivation-by-hammer to tap them into place.The have a clean and rustic look and can be easily stained if needed.

The clock works well. Smooth second-hand movement. Very quiet. Love the look of the wooden hands, but are very delicate and must be applied with just enough pressure to seat but not too much to break. I broke a second hand when I missed the center post and the brass split tip on the hand broke off. Very oddly, AA batteries are too long and won't fit completely in the battery holder. Instructions don't include orientation of hands needed to seat properly on the works, and they apparently only fit one way. I placed the large brass ring down on the minute and hour hands.

Very nice wooden hands, which I tend to paint a different color. All the mechanisms seem to function fine, and these were simple to assemble. No instructions provided, however, so you need to know what part goes where. I’m very pleased and satisfied with these.

The hands are natural wood and they look super cute. Got to be careful, as they are very delicate. Not sure about mechanical parts. Time will tell if they hold time and how long they will last. So far I'm pretty happy

Made a clock out of a 40 year old cutting board burned it finished it with 4 coats of gun oil .

I really wanted to love these. They looked great out of the package, but the wood is very thin. Most of them snapped as I was trying to attach them. Out of the 4 that were sent I was only able to use 1. It looks nice though.

The media could not be loaded. The hands are natural wood and they look super great. You need to be careful, as they are delicate. I saw some reviews saying they broke easily, however, gentle pressure worked for me.I will purchase it again.
