Fade template
The template I goo quality rubber. It does allow you to get good few lines started and has bumper to stop clippers. The only issue I have is with the clip that hold the rubber. You have to be sure to have both sides evenly pulled through it to get a straight line. It presses in to your face and may cause the rubber to slide. You my have to keep wiping your head to make sure it stays in place.

Nice guide for the do it yourself fade cut.
Fellas IF you want that nice straight line along your head, use this with the Remington shaver. Stick it on your head and it keeps the hair line straight. Just don't be super aggressive or the band will move. If you screw up , just shave your head and try again next month. Practice makes perfect and save $$$.

Perfect every time
I cut my own hair but can never get the back hairline straight. With this tool, my wife can line it up and cut it for me perfectly every time. It’s easy to use, comfortable, and makes the whole process quick and clean. Great little tool to have.

Good idea, needs a new clasp that doesn’t slide and will hold it firmly in place
The main issue is the clasp. Good idea, I still use it from time to time, but I have to hold it in place by hand because the class will just slip. I tried a few easy quick fixes with tape. But because the size is small or just enough to fit around your head there wasn’t a lot of extra room to secure firmly with tape even.

Looks like it will work.
Came with instructions for assembly of the hair trimming guide which could be improved but it's a simple device. I have made similar guides but this one is made of a flexible synthetic plastic or silicone that fits and grabs without slipping. Someone designed it for ease of use, and it's easy to increase or decrease the overall diameter for a good fit. The last time I got a haircut in a barber shop it cost $45 so to hell with that! Cutting your own hair has difficulties, one of them being how do you get it even in the back when you can't see what you're doing? If there's someone you trust with the cutter this guide will still make it so much easier for them on the first try. The back part, if not properly done looks terrible, but with the proper tools and practice, you can get a professional cut and then worry about the top and sides (Which are not as important as getting that back part clean and evenly done!)JUST A FEW TIPS: The cutter hopefully comes with a range of attachments that snap on or off the blade. Use the longest ones first, that cut off the LEAST amount of hair, then gradually increase how much hair you're removing. Using the guide on the back should NOT be the first thing you do. That's for when the overall hair has been shaped closer to a finished job. The last cutter attachments you should use are the shortest-cutting. The included comb is useful in holding the lengths of hair so you can cut them all about the same. You COULD just start with a really short attachment if all you want is a buzz-cut, but you can do much better than that with a little practice!
