Powertrax 9220803002 No-Slip Traction System, 8", 30 Spline Open

Very quiet and smooth. Will chirp a tire occasionally... mainly uphill intersections making sharp right. It shifts a little clunky now but not bad at all, very mild change ( I have 5speed). 4wd the thing is an animal now... goes anywhere. Honestly it's a nice all around setup. I daily drive, tow, haul, and offroad this truck and extremely happy with this product. Had thoughts that I might had preferred an ARB airlocker but after having this I think the arb would be a pain. Its actually nice enough that I don't think the girlfriend would notice a difference. I think I could put anyone behind the wheel and not worry about giving them the run down how this works. I think if you install this in a auto trans vehicle it would be 100% invisible under most conditions. 02 tacoma ext cab 2.7 5sp 4wd.

I installed this in my 2005 SR5 Tacoma with with an open diff, 8.4” rear end. The ring gear does need to be removed in order to get everything disassembled. Not to worry though, if you bake the ring gear in oven for 20 min at 250°, and leave the carrier in the freezer, the two will slip back together with no issue at all.

Installed in 04 Tacoma non trd. Workes great drive it everywhere with no problems.
