I’m extremely impressed with this PALONE Solar Bug Zapper! It works wonderfully both indoors and outdoors, and it has made a huge difference on our patio during the evenings. I love being able to leave it outside during the day and have it ready to go at night without worrying about batteries. The Type-C charging is also super convenient for quick recharging indoors. I purchased in hopes that this would be a great alternative to having one that plugged in all the time. In fact, I purchased five in total. They did work and worked well for about a week, and then stopped .I’ve tried having them plugged in full time…but to no avail. They just won’t turn back on. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Save your money or spend it elsewhere on a better product.

As of April 16 the bulb is already burned out. It only burned about 5 hours a day since February so pretty cheap bulb. The instructions make little sense. If you don't have the solar unit and don't need the battery, plug the lamp in and leave it plugged in. It will work in day mode all day and if it goes out at dusk switch it to night mode. If you don't have the solar panel and need to use the battery leave the switch in OFF and plug the unit in. The red light will turn blue, not green, when the battery is charged. The lamp will run in either day mode (switch right) or night mode (switch left) for about 8 hours. If you want the lamp to work continuously keep in plugged in and switch it to day use. If it goes off at dusk, switch it to night use. If you use the solar panel and the switch is to the right, on the sun image, the unit works in daytime as long as there is direct sun on the panel but the battery holds no charge and the light will not work after dark. It works pretty well in this mode if the sun is out. If you use the solar panel to charge the unit for night use, put the switch to the far left, on the moon image, and put the panel in direct sun all day. The light will come on at sunset and work for four hours max. The solar battery is just about useless for charging the unit to work at night so you really need to keep the lamp fully charged by usb or have a backup battery pack charger or small generator. There is an unmarked plug (capped) on the back of the solar panel (for which there is no cord) that might allow you to connect a second panel or a better solar battery, not sure. The plug is not mentioned in the intructions. I don't know if the solar panel will charge the battery at all if the switch on the lamp is in the OFF position. I didn't try it.

Let's start with the fact that I like that the solar panel is separate from the zapper. Also like the charging from c port, the first time we charged we used are cellphone cord, we didn't even use the cords from the box. Now mind you this is the second day on owning this unit. The charging indicator light is not coming no matter how we plug it up, also when night mode is turned on the zapper turns on even in daylight, so night mode seems to not be working properly unless it's just supposed to stop charging at night not entirely clear. The instructions talk about 3 modes day normal and night only there is no normal mode to select there is only day off an night. Now the pannle an wires that connect to pannle I don't like how they connect there is also a rubber plug blocking another plug have no clue what this plug is for would have been nice if I could have plugged my cellphone into this pannle I mean it's got the c charger but it doesn't charge from the c option using panle not sure why it needs 2 plugs for charging why not all plugs go into c charger this in a way is a major upset to me an rite now I can't even tell if it's charging or if the light indicator is out we are killing the battery tonight then charging just to see if it's the light indicator not working or if it's not charging if the light is out ill never know if the battery is full as far as the zapping goes it worked great I would have cleaned it but it was covered in ants cause they were eating the dead the trap manage to trap some live beetles so I am happy an unhappy with this product oh I also when purchasing it says like 13 hours but in the instructions it says 4-6 hours or something like that on a full charge wich I guess is fine you can cut them off when not outside my only issue is originally planned on have 3 or 4 of them cause they do give a nice blueish light that is kinda bright enough an I think with 3 or 4 I could light my entire porch with them but then I gotta hit all them switches if your like me I've come very customed to telling my alexa to turn off on lights access cameras from my phone I definitely like the idea that the panel is separate but there is alot more I need my light to do also would be nice if I could have the option to buy more chord to make the panel go out further I think I would have a difficult time finding the plug-ins they used I know maybe I'm crazy for wanting to hang so many around my porch but I this will be hard for me to do if they not connected to my alexa or Bixby then I could say turn off bug zapper an they would all turn off at once my apologies for the rambling an long review but overall I need a more quality product was it worth the 50 too soon to tell another question would be house the battery in 6 months or 2 years I live in nc not the hottest state but it gets pretty hot out there as far as trapping Flys I don't see that but I don't have it on during the day an you can smell them big bugs burn I'm torn between 2 an 3 star

As the title suggests, I've been using it for a couple of weeks without any issues. It's water-resistant and has long-lasting batteries. After a hot, sunny day, with a full charge, this zapper can run continuously for 8-9 hours overnight.

Dieses Jahr hat es bei uns durch das Hochwasser und langanhaltenden Niederschlag richtig viele Schnaken, Stechmücken und Bremsen. Ich war lange gegen diese Insektenvernichter, dieses Jahr war es aber vorbei damit. Ich habe explizit nach einem mit eingebautem Akku gesucht um diesen auch beim Campen ohne Steckdose nutzen zu können. Sogar eine Solarzelle ist hier mit dabei, quasi perfekt! Dieser hier erschien mir aufgrund des großen Akkus ganz gut und ich habe deswegen umgehend bestellt. Pünktlich zu unserer ersten Reise mit dem Dachzelt kam das Paket an und wir konnten es noch vor Abreise ausprobieren. Es funktioniert sehr einfach: Durch das Licht werden die Plagegeister angezogen, fliegen rein und werden durch eine hohe Spannung (hier laut Angabe 4500V) sofort vernichtet. So einfach wie genial. Wir haben das Licht mal eine Stunde bei uns im Wohnzimmer brennen lassen und in dieser kurzen Zeit befanden sich schon viele Insekten im Auffangbehälter des Geräts. Sehr effizient! Wir hatten den Insektenvernichter bei unserem einwöchigen Trip mit dem Dachzelt dabei und es hat uns sehr gute Dienste geleistet. Die Akkulaufzeit überzeugt und am nächsten Tag wird der Akku wieder mit der mitgelieferten Solarzelle aufgeladen. Man muss sich um nichts kümmern. Durch den Bügel kann er bequem auch überall hingehängt werden. Die beste Lösung um Insekten fernzuhalten bzw. direkt zu vernichten, wir sind damit echt zufrieden!

J’ai acheté cette lanterne extérieur avec rechargement solaire pour éradiquer les moustiques indésirables en soirée. En effet cette lanterne se recharge le jour via son panneau solaire déporté et une fonction interrupteur à trois positions permet de soit éteindre la lampe par sa position du milieu ou soit que celle ci s’allume la nuit et la troisième position permet un allumage continuel . Pour ma part j’ai choisi un allumage de nuit pour plus d’efficacité. La lumière bleue attire efficacement les moustiques et ceux ci sont grillés instantanément au contact des grilles. La lanterne s’accroche facilement en hauteur et le câble du panneau solaire est assez long pour une bonne déportation. Une lumière rouge sous la lampe s’allume pour indiquer une bonne recharge via le panneau solaire. Je suis très satisfait de cette anti moustique et pour le prix la qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous.
