OXO Good Grips Lock and Go Manual Can Opener

It's hard to get excited over something as mundane as a can opener, but this is a really good one. It clamps on securely and locks in with a button. The blade is super sharp and cans open easily and safely when it's engaged. The grip is comfortable and just the right size. Similarly, the crank is oversized and easy to turn. Like most OXO products, it's well-made and inexpensive. It's not going to win any functional design prizes but it does what it's supposed to do really well.

I have went through soooo many can openers. Whether it be electric or hand held. None of them have lasted or worked without eventually bending or going dull. This one is the best can opened, hands down. The size and ease of use is perfect, the appearance is esthetically pleasing and definitely worth the money compared to the value of the product. The lid removal magnet on the end works great as well. I'm finally done buying can openers since finding this gem!

This is the product that has ensured I avoid OXO from now on. There aren't many modern cans that this can open without it sliding off at least 2-3 times. For sturdier cans, it can't even finish the job. It's cheaply made and everything just wants to bend rather than stay on task. I know OXO has gone downhill for years after being purchased, but now I just have to avoid them moving forward.

Love the size, appearance and easy to store. Very easy to use and it’s sharp so no need to struggle. I really like the magnet end so you don’t need to touch the lid.

I like this can opener very much. It is sharp and opens cans easily. However, it is different from "normal" can openers. My husband says he doesn't like it because it takes him longer to position it on the can correctly. I think if functions well, it's easy to clean and I've had it for years so it is durable.

I love mine so much bought this one for step daughter. Easy to use love it clips on for stability holding can and sharp no issues for years of use

I like OXO products a lot but miss my old can opener (same brand) because this new one isn't the same and doesn't work as well. It locks down which is a nuisance feature. I like that it has a magnet on the end of one handle. The problem is it doesn't always grab the can well and you have to fool with it until it does. Bring the old one back!

Awesome, sharp can opener. The button to open it is a little harder to use than I would like, but overall, I would recommend it.

This is the lightest, easiest, and most effective can opener I have ever used -- and I have purchased many over the years that were real disappointments (heavy, clunky, ineffective). I can even pop this one in the top-rack of the dishwasher and it never rusts -- even though handwashing is recommended. That's a big plus for me. I've read in some of the reviews that the opener does not effectively grab or stay attached to the can. That only happens to me when I do not make sure that the opener is absolutely horizontal to the can; if you try to attach it to the can on an angle, it will slip off, as would any can openser. I *love* the lock function on the handle -- so easy to use and effective every time.

Since I bought this tin opener all my tins have come with ring pull openers but I know this opener will be fine. I will update when I get a tin that needs a opener till then it's five 🌟 for a very good manufacturer of quality tools

Awesome! Super easy to use, super chunky handles and an ingenious lock system so you don't have to maintain such a large amount of grip pressure on the handles. This is great news if, unlike me, you don't have lots of grip strength. Compared to the last piece of junk that pretended to be a can-opener, this device is pure can-opening joy! I love it!
