The Hydro cell insulator is great it meets your everyday needs. It's size in good. The lid does spill or cause any leakage. It comes with a Straw and a extra lid cap just incase. The durability is great. It can hold cold or hot for a very long time. It's easy to handle and has a ease of use. I bought the green and black in colour. Overall I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

It works great as the size holds a little more than 1 standard bottle of water (approximately 16.8 oz) and as it keeps your water cool for at least 8 hours you don’t waste your bottled water by throwing away the overly warm water you get if you just leave your water in the plastic bottle.I threw away the first top cap this bottle cane with as you may only use the first or second cap, not both at the same time. If you close the drinking straw on the 2nd cap then the container will not spill either, as it is leakproof too. I don’t think the 2nd cap keeps the water cold for 24 hours though, but I am happy with the 8 hours that I know it keeps it cold with the 2nd cap.I only drink spring water from vendors that don’t add chlorine as chlorine is a poison that is used by city water to kill microbes.However, people with multiple sclerosis and other auto immune conditions are overly sensitive tochemicals and drinking clorinated water may bring on episodes of active disease. So it is not a snobby thing at all to drink only pure spring water with no added chemicals.Supposedly you may boil your city tap water for 3 minutes and it is supposed to get rid of most of the chlorine as a gas. But I find even the residual amount left over upsets my stomach.I have also bought water filters that claim to remove 99% of the chlorine, then after drinking this filtered water for 8 weeks a blood lab test showed I had a high chlorine level in my blood and when tested while drinking pure spring water my blood labs always came back normal for chlorine.Everyone worries about getting cancer and I have to think drinking chlorinated water probably is not wise for me given my genetics and health conditions.Additionally, this item is made with food grade stainless steel on the inside, so it does not leach plastic chemicals back into the water (but probably the bottle it came in did that anyway..,which once again proves you cannot win for losing).I love the water bottle and I will try not to lose it as I don’t want to have to buy a new one. Mine is bright pink, so it is easy to see when I set it down and forgot where.Please give me a like if you enjoyed this overly informative review. What designates a "5-star" product from a "4-star" product? For me, its when a product goes above and beyond. You think, what could a stinkin' water bottle do that is "above and beyond"? Well, I'm happy to say that this product is made in the USA, the water bottles are elegantly designed and have care and thought put into them: you can't imagine how difficult it is to pick out a large waterbottle that actually fits in a standard cupholder! It comes with two caps, to fit your usage. Their customer service is ultra fast, friendly, and helpful. The price is right, and above all else, can you believe the product actually works as advertised? Super cold or warm drinks for the whole day. To me, all that combined makes this a stellar product and one that I'm happy to use, and recommend wholeheartedly!When I first got the product I assumed it was just like any other waterbottle/cheap thing you buy on Amazon, it comes from some other country, and has no instructions and a bunch of cheap accessories they throw on to inflate the price and make it seem like a better value. I've been taught this from too many Amazon products. So, I was not surprised when I unboxed it filled it up and the next morning went to drink and ended up with water pouring out down my chin.Over the next few days I started drinking a LOT more water, because the bottle was attractive, it fit in my cupholders at work and in my car, it was convenient, and it kept the beverage enjoyable because it was ice cold- just the way I like it.But it leaked, every time I took a sip... Disappointed, I contacted customer service to initiate a return. I was really kind of sad. The customer service person was overtly polite and apologetic and wanted to ship out a return at no cost. They even wanted me, again, fully prepaid, to return the bottle to them so they could inspect it for manufacturing defects, which I was more than happy to do. What company does that? Not many that I've dealt with. Most just want the product back so they know you aren't scamming them. However, after I started talking about a return, I did some Youtube investigating because I wanted to see if perhaps the leak was specific to the 24oz bottle or something. As I went through reviews, nobody mentioned it. And finally I stumbled upon an unboxing video where they showed someone putting the water bottle together and that's where it hit me. There is 2 straw accessories included with the water bottle. These accessories I assumed had to do with the other bottle cap that came with the product. Or, I assumed it was for if you literally just didn't want to put a cap on at all so you could drink out of the bottle. I don't know what I was thinking. I clearly wasn't. But anyway, after looking at the video I realized that it was leaking, because the straw cap is meant to be used in conjunction with one of these straws on the inside of the bottle. That way, you aren't inverting the entire water bottle upside to drink out of an open hole. What an idiot!After I realized this, I tested it, and of course it worked. I went back to customer service and immediately told them my error. I'd like to call out Jordan who was the representative who was very helpful the whole way and may have chuckled to himself but never made me feel like an idiot.As I mentioned, the bottle looks great, and has made me drink more water each day. I think from a combination of it being nice and cold, and from the flashy bottle being in my peripheral vision to remind me to drink. In fact, each day, even though I know you should be drinking more than one 24oz bottle a day, I have to make baby steps. And each day I come home with a bottle that was full in the morning that has less and less each progressive day. I call that a win, and it is all due to this product.I would completely recommend this product to anyone. And plan to pick up some more bottle soon as gifts. My only negative would be that it should come with some basic instructions on how to care for it, and maybe a little idiot-proof diagram that shows if you use the straw cap, that there is an interior straw that needs to be added.

I just bought this, my second HydroCell water bottle - this one a 30 oz. - because my first (20 oz) was the object of such envy. Gifted this to my hubbie, so now my husband has his own HydroCell and can keep his own drinks cold or hot without borrowing mine. ;) The HydroCell keeps stuff cold for at least 12-15 hours (my ice cubes are still there). It'll keep things hot for a good 8 hours. Part of the duration depends on where/how the bottle is kept. In hot sun inside the car, the cold time might be a little shorter; in a freezing cold car, the hot time might change a bit. Overall, though, these bottles WORK for a LONG time.The bottle itself is GREAT. I like the wide mouth because it's easy to throw in ice cubes, or to fill it with whatever you might like (sorbet!). HydroCell sends you two options for lids: a standard metal, flat lid, and a BPA-free plastic lid with a flip top straw. Both come included; you don't need to buy a second lid (for more money). The metal then is 100% leak proof. In my experience, the flip top lid has been leak proof as well. The fliptop 'could' leak as there is a tiny vent hole (so the straw works despite the seal), and because the flip top is a moving part with attendant gaps. It MIGHT leak, but so far I haven't had the problem in the 2+ years I've used the 20 oz. bottle.I chose these HydroCell bottles over the (admittedly hip and "in") HydroFlask because of the BIG price difference, and the fact that HydroCell gives you the two tops. My son opted for a HydroFlask; he's at the age that brand matters. Although we bought our bottles within days of each other, my HydroCell still looks new (despite multiple drops & bangs). His HydroFlask is dented and the finish is peeling off at the top and bottom. It's possible he's harder on his bottle, but I think that my HydroCell has a better/tougher powder coat finish.The 20 oz. size fits in car cup holders and bike bottle holders. The larger diameter of the 30 oz. size does not. If you add a silicone bottle boot (which I did on both) the 20 oz. is a quite tight fit in the cup holder. The 30 still won't fit ;) .Clean-up is super easy for these: just wash it out with soap and water. Ease of washing is definitely helped by the wide mouth.I recommend these HydroCell bottles to everyone. They're very well made and an excellent deal.

I purchased the 40oz water bottle in Frost, which is a nice, light gray color. I traveled with it and took it to beach with me. While I was careful to avoid getting sand on it, it did not scratch at all during the trip. It alap fit into the bottle pouch on the side of my backpack. Ice cubes did not melt after many hours prior to emptying the bottle. It keeps cold and warm/hot liquids their expected temperature all day. I have not used the included sports cap with plastic straw. I was unable to easily remove the regular cap for cleaning purposes. The regular cap seals well without leaking. I do wish there was no plastic on the inside of the cap and that it was entirely stainless steel. The handle attached to the cap is helpful for holding the bottle. The bottle is a nice, wide-mouthed size. You do have to hold the regular cap when drinking from the bottle to prevent it from hitting you. The bottle is deep so you need a long bottle brush to clean the bottom. The stainless steel is nice and there is no metallic taste. Would purchase a second bottle.

I have had this water bottle for over two years and I love it. I have carried this water bottle around with my EVERYWHERE. I like it so much that I bought one for my husband and best friend. You only want the best for those close to you, so you already know how good a product is if people are buying them for close ones. I was curious how there could be one star reviews on this, so when I looked, I saw it was mostly due to the non-steel lid and ice melting. I don't use the non-steel lid with the straw (I thoroughly enjoy having my lid strapped to my bottle, and being able to hold on to it, so I only use the steel lid with the rubber part that connects to my water bottle. Plus, I am thankful for the steel lid because I try not to drink out of plastic. Thus, I cannot speak to the other lid if that is something you are looking for.). Secondly, in terms of ice melting - yes, it does melt. HOWEVER, your water is kept cold for hours (I have never had it where I had ice/my water at a cool temperature and it EVER warming up.)!This is a great water bottle, and it is at a price point where you feel comfortable in investing in it. Having it for 2+ years, and filling it up 2-3 times a day (32 ounces), I have received AT LEAST 1,825 uses out of it (2 years X 2.5 fill-ups on average). There is great temperature control, it is sturdy (this is coming from someone who is clumsy), and it has a great design (I have purchased the teal 32 oz, black/white ombre 32 oz, and navy 40 oz for myself and others.)! I use the teal one, and I LOVE the color - it is so vibrant and a beautiful color). Also, my husband and I have both put stickers on ours and they work well. My husband has the black/white ombre one, and has a white sticker that overlaps both, and it looks so sleek! The only thing about my water bottle is that it is too wide for my cup holders in my car since I don't have large/adjustable cup holders. However, as long as the lid is screwed on tightly, I put it on the ground and it does not leak.I also want to give a shout out to the customer service team; if you have any questions or concerns about your water bottle, just go to their contact page on their website and send them an e-mail. They will get back to you within 24 hours and help you solve your issue if it falls under their lifetime warranty - how cool is that? You don't get that very often with companies, and that is something to really considering when buying any product you plan on using consistently. Most don't offer superior service, but you are lucky if you buy from Hydro Cell because you will receive awesome customer service that is responsive and respectful! In mid-April 2021 I purchased an 18 oz Hydro Cell wide mouth water bottle. I wanted to use it for green tea. I make two cups of the tea in the hours before bedtime and bring it upstairs to keep in my bedroom so I can drink it first thing in the morning. The bottle kept my tea at the correct temperature for at least 10 hours — I haven’t tried it for longer. I liked the bottle so much that several days later I decided to splurge and replace the three awkwardly sized and rather battered stainless steel water bottles I had been using for years. The new bottles arrived the day after I ordered them.I love these bottles. They are beautiful. That might not be important to everyone but I use these bottles every day and it’s a pleasure when something so utilitarian is also so attractive. I wish I could justify buying more colors. I use the Neon (ombré spring green to chartreuse) for my tea. I use the the Navy/White, the Lavender/White, and the Teal/Blue bottles for the water I drink throughout the day. I fill them with water and take them out of the fridge throughout the day to use as a decanter. I keep one next to a glass on my nightstand at night. They keep my water perfectly cold (out of the fridge) for at least 16 hours and probably would keep them cold far longer.I’ve had these 4 bottles for over 4 months. I only wash them by hand. I don’t take them hiking or anything but even around the house they do get knocked down and bumped around and so far not a single one has a scratch or a dent on it. Nor have the caps ever leaked. (I haven’t yet used the sports cap with the straw that also comes with the bottle.) The slightly textured surface of the bottles makes them much easier to grip than most metal bottles.I did purchase Hydro Cell protective silicone bottom boots in matching colors for each bottle. They don’t detract from the look of the bottles. The colors match almost perfectly and they are very helpful at keeping the bottles extra stable on tables and nightstands.The only problem I have had occurred about 3 months after I bought the bottles. The rather stiff black plastic strip that attaches the stainless-steel screw cap to one of the bottles I use for water snapped in half and the cap was no longer attached to the bottle.Although I bought my Hydro Cell products on Amazon, I decided to email Hydro Cell support on their American website and explain what happened. I received a very polite and friendly reply informing me that they were aware of the issue and their R&D team had developed a new, more durable rubber arm band attachment and they would be happy to send it to me at no charge — which they soon did. The new band is a great improvement: more pliable so no longer prone to cracking but strong enough not to tear.In summary: after using my Hydro Cell bottles every day for over 4 months I am very happy with their performance, their durability, and with Hydro Cell’s customer service. FYI: Hydro Cell did ask if I would leave a review on Amazon, which I am finally doing, but they didn’t offer anything in exchange and I actually forgot to tell them I would be happy to leave a review. They sent me my replacement part long before I submitted this review so there was no improper quid pro quo.

This thing is phenomenal! I fill it 1/3 of the way up with ice and to the top with water, 24 hours later I still have ice in it! I love it and highly recommend it to everyone!

Bought this over two years ago now and it has been fantastic. Very easy to clean, even if you're using the top with the straw. It keeps liquid cold all day and is very leak-resistant. Quite expensive as far as water bottles go, but definitely worth it, mine is practically still brand new.

Awesome water bottle! Extremely tough an the paint holds up extremely well to abuse. Both caps are very well made very durable! Keeps things hot for 24 hours plus. Keeps things cold just aswell. It will not freeze over night if you forget it in the car or something! Just an awesome bottle if your rough on your gear. I toss mine around. it bounces around the floor of my machine all day/night you won’t regret you purchase!
