My son got a hot wheels city dragon garage for Christmas (not the dinosaur pictured here). He also wanted the this dinosaur to build his hot wheels city up. So we got this one for him on another special occasion a few months later. He loves all of his hot wheels city toys and plays with them for hours at a time. This dinosaur is of good quality and will last when played with as intended. It does everything that it is advertised to do including “eats” the cars, poops the cars out (or the cars come out the tail end), the back of the dinosaur converts to a race track, it can be used for storing cars, it can connect to other hot wheels city toys, and much more. Age range: It is good for all ages, even grownups that love hot wheels toys but kids between 4 and 9 may be more attracted to it. It is lightweight and has a convenient carrying handle. The colors are vibrant. It is a great gift and a great value for the money.

My nephew asked for this for Christmas and was so excited to play with it. It has a lot of features and is compatible with other Hot Wheels tracks. I was really happy with the quality and value for the money. It looks awesome, and I think he’ll spend a lot of time playing with it.

I had to give this away as a Christmas present, but I did "plenty of testing" before I gave it away. It was a super-hit the kids. It has so many cool features. This is by far the coolest toy I have every purchased. It seems a bit on the expensive side for a toy, but it was worth every penny.

My son LOVES this toy. It has a variety of use and play. It's a good size but not too bulky of a toy. It expands to get long and tall and get short and smaller. The price was reasonable and good quality and holds up well. The best part of it is you can store cars, chomp them up, or race down the back off its tail.

Update: I changed this from 3 stars to 4 stars. I received a new toy to replace the one I bought, as it was still under the manufacturer's warranty. It arrived very quickly, and after a few days of play, it hasn't had the issue that the first one had. However, as we have tried to set up tracks with it, I have realized that the track on the back/tail has a downside. It is pretty cool how you can race two cars down the back of the T-Rex, but since it funnels the winner into a single track, that funneling makes it hard for a car to continue down a Hot Wheels track. It either gets slowed way down, gets flipped over, bounces off the track, or otherwise gets its movement impeded. This is really the only downside that I see that I would take stars off for. Original Review: This T-Rex Hot Wheels transporter is great! We got it for my four-year-old son for Christmas after he saw it in a store. He loves it and plays with it every day! It can do even more than I was expecting - the race track down the tail that drops the car that loses through the track; the small ramp at the base of the neck that can spit cars out the mouth; it can gobble up cars when it is collapsed down and spit them out the back; dinosaur noises and eyes that light up; high carrying capacity for cars. However, after a single day of normal play, the toy is stuck in the upright position. It no longer collapses back down (except the rare, lucky occasion - but the next time you stand it up, it gets stuck again). When we fold or straighten out the tail, we can hear the internal mechanism popping, so something is either out of alignment or broken inside. Another indication is that one of the legs doesn't move properly as we fold or straighten the tail. You can see in the picture that the tail is folded but the T-Rex is still standing up, and the legs are not in the same position. Aside from this problem, we love the toy. One slight annoyance for me (and this is just for me; my son thinks it is funny) is the fart noises that the toy makes. I just find it annoying to hear that over and over while my son is playing. But again, he thinks it's funny, so it's not a big deal.

Purchased over a month ago when it was on sale, and was really hoping my son would like it for his birthday. While we've purchased some things in the past that don't live up to the excitement, he has LOVED this transporter. He opened only yesterday and played with it for 5 hours straight. First thing this morning he played with it as soon as he woke up and has already played with it for 3+ hours. It scoops up and holds about 10 cars in its belly that it "eats" and will make it more fun for the kids to pick up their cars when done playing. Holds around 35 cars (in different places throughout the toy), has a built in racing track that you can connect more tracks too, a car can be spit out its mouth, stands up and easily collapses back into the rolling vehicle postion! Highly recommend!
