It is what it is and it works. No issues.

Nice tool for roughing surfaces prior to gluing! Although it has a textured plastic handle it is less that half the price of a nice exotic wood handled rasp! I hope it lasts for awhile.

does a fair job

This is a detail rougher to abrade the smooth surface of leather so cement will adhere properly. It is small, but works well. I have used it to roughen leather pieces much larger than it was designed to do - takes a bit of time. I tis just the right size for prepping to glue things like billets on a Ranger Belt and similar. The handle is textured black plastic, but doesn't feel cheap. It is light weight. The metal is well fit and finished to give it a solid look and feel despite the plastic handle.

It isn’t as efficient as I’d like it to be but that is the cost of buying cheaper products. I’ve made it work for me but I don’t see this lasting with heavy use

built ok, but does not do a good job of roughing up the leather for gluing. Needs a lot more aggressive surface. If they change that feature, would be a 5 star tool. Going to return

As a leather worker this makes a great addition to roughing up leather before the glue. I’ve been impressed with the way it works, and the quality of the product. My only complaint is that I think I got a small one, and would recommend going a little larger than you think. Also I’m not a huge fan of the plastic handle, but it is what it is. Overall, it really does the job, has a great rough service that does work well, and has been a solid tool I always use.
