Archive your old crap off those HDDs in your desk drawer.
Been needing to archive a bunch of old hard drives. This is exactly what the doctor ordered. Was able to backup old IDE drives and SATA drive in both 3.5 and 2.5 form factors. Nice and quick. Should bought this year's ago.

The case of the myster data is solved!
Over the years I've accumulated hard drives from various retired systems. With this I was able to quickly mount them without having to open a computer and connect them. I went through the drives, saved data, re-formatted and donated the old drives using this little adapter. All external connections, no need to power on/off the computer. While it is light and cheap feeling, it worked perfectly and well worth the price.

Mounting devise for older hard drives.
Product worked very well on some drives but would not register in Explorer with some older drives. The product did work very well overall. I am pleased.

Excelente adaptador para discos duros. El GODO SATA/IDE to USB 3.0 Adapter funciona muy bien para conectar discos de 2.5 y 3.5 pulgadas de forma rápida y sencilla. La instalación es fácil y el reconocimiento en la computadora es inmediato. Ofrece buena velocidad de transferencia y resulta muy útil para recuperar datos o usar discos antiguos. Muy práctico y recomendable.

Works as described
I needed a device that would allow me to filter through a lot of old HDD's (both SATA and IDE). This works just fine. I will say then when I tried the first HDD I had to do some configuring in Windows 11 to see the HDD. But after that, all things are a go. So far, I have filtered out seven HDD's, found two of them were dead/non-working. Great product, simple to use, would recommend and purchase again if needed. #thekilted1

Worked flawlessly for data recovery on ATA drive
Worked flawlessly and was cheaper than the other options. Allowed me to recover valuable photos and videos off an ATA hard drive from an old family PC.

For me, this is not worth even sending back for a refund.
The plastic case for this was designed and manufactured by people who never plugged a 3.5 in. IDE hard drive into the unit. The power plug for the hard drive blocks the data connector. Since it is impossible to plug in both data and power connectors at the same time into a 3.5 in. IDE hard drive, there is no way to test that functionality. I tried to connect two different 2.5 in. IDE hard drives. Neither one was recognized as having data. The error message read "media not loaded". The only thing that did work was the SATA connector.
