Welder.
I have only used this welder for few small jobs but it worked perfectly. Very precision and easy to control, Good price and I didnt have to charge it since I got it for about 10 jobs I have done.

Easy fast spot welder
I have tried the style of spot welder with a big battery pack and 2 long wires to the contacts, and yes, they work. This spot welder saved me an immense amount of time in rebuilding my DeWalt lithium batteries. Wow. Fast, easy, solid spot welds, and the battery lasted impressively. After 3 completed batteries, so 30 cells and 60+ connections of 4 welds each, this unit still had battery left and was functioning perfectly. It did get warm in the hand and I hit the thermal shutdown threshold once when I was working fast. It got warm (not hot) and stopped welding for a few minutes, cooled down and kept going. Not a big deal since I used the time to solder the balance leads on. So far I really like it would buy another if continuous production were an issue. Swapping between 2 of them could keep a person welding nickel strip all day.

Portable Spot Welder Makes Quick Work of Battery Pack Assembly.
As someone who frequently builds custom battery packs, I'm always on the lookout for tools that can speed up and simplify the assembly process. The AWithZ Handheld Spot Welder has become an invaluable tool in my workshop. This portable spot welder is lightweight and compact, making it easy to handle and position as needed. But don't let its size fool you - it delivers up to 400 amps of current to achieve strong, reliable nickel strip welds. The dual copper electrodes pressing from both sides helps ensure even contact and heat distribution. I've been consistently impressed with the quality of welds this little machine can produce. Welds form quickly and penetrate multiple layers of nickel strip. The built-in pulse time control lets you adjust duration to suit different thickness strips and battery types. One of my favorite features is the foot pedal control, which frees up both hands for positioning strips. The pedal gives you complete control over activating the pulse. There's also a convenient in-handle switch for hands-only operation. At its affordable price point, I think the AWithZ spot welder is a steal for anyone into battery building. The portability and effectiveness of this tool has sped up my pack assembly considerably. I can now easily weld packs with series connections on the go. I highly recommend it for battery enthusiasts, electricians, and hobbyists looking to expand their capabilities.

Didn't last long
I'm thinking the gate they used couldn't handle the job. I got about 30 welds out of it before it shut off and the tips are showing they're in dead short on my meter. Just glad the lipo in it didn't get spicy. Maybe get a different one. I was in gear 2 and it was making fine welds with the supplied strips.

THe answer to spot welding battery connecters
Charged the unit and did a test weld. It took two tries before I got the proper procedure down and then I continued to do 12 more welds with no problems. It works great compared to my previous welder purchase, a poor quality, circuit board and weld cables that you assemble unit, that failed after three welds,

It works good on its own terms
This is what I learned after putting together 60 batteries. This welder is good, but it has to be on its terms. First, don't use this on tabbed batteries. That was a mistake. The tabs are thicker than the included nickel strip and the welder will have about a 50% success rate and welds break with the slightest mechanical movement. If you have tabbed batteries, cut the tabs off. The nickel strip included is perfect. Get more of that. Second, I noticed you get about 4 really good welds before needing to wait a minute. Seriously, once I learned to use this with a 60 second timer, things went a lot smoother. Third, the instructions will get you basic button operation, nothing more. Watch some videos if you never used one before. Once I learned about the tab problems and required time delays, I came to appreciate this little welder.

Inexpensive nickel strip spot welder
This device takes some getting used to. It works ok using the thin nickel strips provided. It holds a charge fairly well. I would recommend having whatever you are working on secured so you can concentrate on holding this device as it wants a certain pressure when you are doing the spot welds. The different current levels definitely have an effect so it is a good idea to try several settings if the first weld does not happen as you want.

best welder we ever had
Simple ,reliable, the STD design has foot pedals cables ,power hook up .... This works with no cable issues and you can't accidentally damage it with bad alignment ...

Positively surprised
After shopping and reading reviews (all over 4 stars) I have decided to take a chance with this oneโฆ Bare in mind that I have only tested it for 3 welds on 18650 batteries Yet results are beyond expectations If you take a look on my actual images, not only the weld was strong using 0.2 pure nickel strip, it teared up the strip when I had to use pliers to take the battery off the strip, * using the highest gear (11) and respecting the recommended 45 degrees angle: I have yet to use it for several hours but so far everything points to a solid cheap option. Bought with my own money, not sponsored, in Quebec, Canada I will update if major flaws arises Cheers
