Perfect to stop coworkers from tripping over your walking stick
This is the second one Iโve bought. I already had one myself and found it really useful, so I got another for a friend. Itโs great for stopping my cane from falling over in the office when people trip over it. Nice and sturdy and the reflective quality is nice. Simple idea but really effective. Definitely recommend.

Easy to fix
Fits on cane easily. Quite secure, doesnโt slip around. Flips out and you can hang onto table edge. It does just balance itself. The cane swings around and can get easily knocked off the edge but it is a useful gadget.

Effective, secure (-ish), & even fits stouter sticks
Far, far better than the triangular ones. It actually fits securely onto a standard walking stick, and doesn't pop off. I've even fitted one successfully onto a stout wooden pole carved for me by a neighbour. Only had it a few days, do don't know how durable it will be - but at present it seems really good. My mother constantly drops her stick onto the dog - but not since I fitted one of these for her. And when at the supermarket till, my pole usually attacks other customers as they pass by; not this week, though! It has a very strong metal spring round the clip, so you may need help fitting it. And I wasn't sure it would even go round my rather stout pole at all - but it does; and with care it didn't even damage the wood as I put it on, either! It's slightly unstable (hence only 4 stars), as the weight of the stick, if it is hanging rather than propped up, over-stretches the spring; the tip of the flap turns up, and the non-slip under-surface is consequently not in contact with the surface of the table / etc. However, I've rectified this by adding an elastic band to the end of the flap, and the elastic then becomes the non-slip part. (It also stops the flap from tapping irritatingly against my pole as I walk.) Overall, I would recommend this, especially if you have a stick with a tendency to make a break for freedom! UPDATE 20 November Came home from walking the dog ... and the cane rest had not returned with us ๐ . It must have popped off somewhere, unnoticed. I see I am not the only reviewer to have had this experience ... Far too expensive to replace and risk losing again - it has worked out at around ยฃ1.50 per week for occasional use ๐ญ !!!

Great idea BUT !
Great idea but spring is too flimsy and has broken within 2 weeks of purchase ! Hence I am returning and am re ordering in the hope that new unit is more robust !

Neat and practical
This neat little spring-loaded cane holder is strong, well made, clips perfectly onto my stick and balances it beautifully when resting on a table. I haven't really used the reflective function but I guess it could be useful in the dark. A good buy.

Great little clip.
If the shaft of your stick is thicker, like a standard NHS walking stick, it may start to slip off and need some sort of adhesive to keep it on. I work in a Physiotherapy Dept and so many patients ask where I got it.

FINALLY A MIRACLE
My dad can finally stop worrying about a place to stabilize his cane at dinner. THANK YOU!!!!

Great safety clip
Fantastic to go on your walking stick, saves it from falling when you're seated at a table, as the orange clip comes out and sits on the table, keeping it upright. I

Practical and useful.
Helps cane stay on flat surface well. Reflective tape is a nice touch.

A bit strong
The spring is stronger than needed, so if your can isn't heavy enough (like a light-weight hollow one), it might actually push it off of the table. Other than that, pretty good.

Proof: convenience and function can coexist.
After years of trying a variety of attachments to park my cane when dining at a restaurant, I finally like what I got. With no fiddling except adjusting the location of the clip to allow the cane to hang nicely from the edge of the table or chair, it just works. The spring-loaded paddle which grips the table surface just automatically moves out of the way when the cane is picked up. The underside gripping surface prevents sliding or slipping off, compared to other friction-based gadgets I have bought and used. Still, taking the suggestion of an earlier reviewer, I applied a high-friction nonslip tape (Dycem?) to the bottom surface and am surprised at the tenacious gripping power of the entire setup. The orange reflective tape is more decorative than a security feature for "night walkers." Any patterned or solid-color tape could decorate this attachment to match the cane. My "Dr. House" cane with its decal of roaring flames could continue the flame motif on the top of this holder. My everyday cane is made of black carbon fiber, so I'm thinking of applying a laminated white label from my label printer, perhaps displaying some high-resolution TIFF graphic. It arrived safely in a wrinkled, battered bubble-lined manila envelope from England. Nothing was broken, however. All in all, a nicely satisfying purchase. And really, I have no complaints.
