The plastic V60 the best option for efficiency in your brewing routine and overall functionality
I've recently added the plastic HARIO V60 02 dripper to my coffee brewing arsenal, and it has quickly become a cornerstone of my morning ritual. As an avid coffee enthusiast, finding the right tools that combine functionality with efficiency is crucial, and this dripper does just that. One of the standout features of this model, which is crucial for any coffee brewer, is its heat retention capabilities. Unlike other materials, the plastic construction of this V60 not only makes it easy to handle and preheat but also retains heat exceptionally well throughout the brewing process. This consistent temperature maintenance is key to extracting the fullest flavor from your coffee grounds, ensuring a rich and robust cup every time. Additionally, this is a rather thick plastic. It is exceptionally smooth and does not look or feel as cheap as it is.The dripper's design is also worth noting. It accommodates 1-4 cups, making it perfect for personal use or when entertaining guests. The transparent plastic not only looks sleek but allows for visibility of the coffee as it brews, enhancing the overall experience and making it easier to achieve the perfect brew by observing the drip rate and color. This V60 brewer combines aesthetic appeal with functional excellence. Its superior heat retention, especially noteworthy in the plastic version, makes it a superior choice for those seeking to refine their pour-over technique and enjoy a consistently great cup of coffee. Whether you’re a seasoned barista or a home brew enthusiast, this dripper is an excellent investment.

It’s cheap, works well, does the job. James Hoffman recommended it, so you’re in good hands.
It’s cheap. It retains heat better than my chemex’s filter. My coffee turned out very clean and floral. It’s definitely good enough for 2-4 cups of coffee, and I find that you have to grind a bit finer than the usual drip because it offers barely any resistance. It does the job 100%. it held up for 30-50g of coffee…so I guess it’s good.

I've tried them all
I've tried the ceramic, glass, metal, and plastic models of the Hario V60 size drippers. I started with this one, ceramic. I dropped it on a tile floor and it broke a piece of the edge off and that started my journey of trying all of the Hario V60s. They were all fine. Now I am back to the ceramic and it is the best of them all. I am happy to have a lifetime supply of Hario V60s. I won't ever make coffee with anything else.I like the ceramic the best because I think it holds heat the best. It is a little "heavy", which I do not mind.I put a filter in the V60. I pour hot water over the filter until the carafe is nearly full, which heats the V60 and the carafe. I pour out that water, put the coffee grounds in the filter and make my coffee. I get very hot coffee doing it this way, which I like. The other V60s are fine but I think if you want maximum hot ceramic is the way to go.That being said, the other models are great. The metal one is light and I don't think you could break it by dropping it. The glass one is very tough, I dropped it on the same tile floor and it did not break. Might have just gotten lucky there. The plastic one is fine, seems basically indestructible, I just hate plastic so I didn't use it much. I wonder about the repeated heating/cooling causing the plastic to crack over time.I have seen reviews that claim flavor differences between the models. This is a load of hogwash, in my world. The coffee tastes the same, no matter the model.I use the same method with each. Preheat, make coffee, drink immediately.

Durable Workhorse
I do a lot of pour over. This has been a welcomed addition to my pour over setup! The thing is sturdy, lots of these are as delicate as it can be without breaking. This is different. This thing is a work horse. I’ve used it on all kinds of cups for my morning coffee, it’s simple, sustainable, and durable. Filters are dirt cheap and biodegradable, or you can find reusable ones. Doesn’t get better than that.I also love that this is made out of pure ceramic.
