So far we love it!
Had it out to the lake twice now. Great kayak for great price. I was a little worried because this is the cheapest one with a drop stitch floor. But so far we love it. Has more space then the explorer we had. The floor is sturdy and stays flat, even with over 400lbs on board. The seats are a little confusing to get right but they work once you figure it out. Like the style valves it has. Makes deflating easy. Inflating it with the supplied pump was super easy. Definitely recommend if your looking for a cheap 2 person kayak with a drop stitch floor!

Great value for the price!
This is my first inflatable kayak, so set up and inflation solo took some time, but with practice, will definitely go faster next time. After some trial and error, I partially inflated each of the two sides before placing and inflating the floor piece. Then I inflated the 2 sides the remaining way full. ~Tip: twist and quickly pull the pump hose straight out after inflation, so the pin is in the up (closed) position. This prevents deflation upon disconnecting the pump hose. The kayak is well made and handled great in a busy and wavy lake. The seat supplied is comfortable ( I only used one in the rear of the kayak). I stored my gear up front. I only used one skeg in the rear, which worked great. The manual pump works well. I used and electric pump for deflation. I have my own carbon fiber paddle, so I didn't need the 2 sets that were provided. I was able to repack everything into the large, sturdy carry bag. I like the portability and easy transport of this kayak. I camp a lot and can't store or transport a hard shell kayak. Overall, this is a great kayak that I plan to use often on rivers and lakes throughout the year. Very satisfied with my purchase!

OK, but with some problems
Positives: The kayak is stable, easy to get into and out of, and tracks well. It maintained its inflation throughout the 10 days that we used it. it felt safe and durable Negatives: The directions in the instruction manual bear little resemblance to the actual kayak. Best to just look at the kayak itself and inflate as indicated on the kayak. The “paddle brackets” on the sides of the kayak are useless: the paddles that are supplied do not fit in them; in addition the brackets themselves get in the way when paddling. The male end of the manual air pump which is supplied did not fit properly into the valve on the kayak, rendering the pump usesless. I purchased a portable compressor with an appropriately designed hose connection which fit perfectly. Not much room between seat and footrest. A 5’ 10” person will have knees bent more than ideal It comes with a bizarre little “repair kit”, which contains a wrench which I guess is to be used if your having a hard time unscrewing the valve cover and two pieces of plastic with which to patch a small hole, but no adhesive, so good luck with that.

Very good boat for the price: durable and functional
I got this boat initially for a 7 week road trip. My family used it on many different lakes across the country, from mountain lakes in Colorado to the Great Lakes. It held up well, and was even fine while my dogs climbed into it and jumped out of it many times. It was stable enough to use in the rough waves of Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. The two keels really help with tracking a straight course, although they do mean you have to put the boat in at least a foot of water in order to not set it down on the keels. The paddles that come with the boat are adequate, but not great. The bag in pretty flimsy and could have been done better. Overall, the setup and tear down is pretty quick. It's comparable to inflating two paddle boards. We don't even both using the seats - it's actually easier to just kneel if paddling hard given how low to the water it is. The floor section goes to higher pressure and really creates a rigid shape for the boat. It also helps insulate your butt from cold water.

Paddle holder’s position
This kayak is nice and sturdy made of strong material. I give it a one star for two reasons. First, the position of the paddle holders are in the way of paddling no matter how you position the seats. When paddling you constantly hit them with some part of your arm. This caused use to have very sore arms from where they hit the paddle holders. Second, one of the paddles snapped in half the first time the kayak was taken out. We were using it in a calm river. For those reasons I can’t give it more stars as nobody wants to use it anymore and it was only used once.

Not perfect but petty good
Here are some thoughts on this boat after several uses, including a 2 night, 48 mile river trip with class 2 rapids. <> Build quality - The construction is the same as a normal inflatable SUP. That's way better than a normal cheap inflatable, but probably not quite as durable as an expensive raft/IK. <> Capacity - We used one to ferry people across a river to a hot spring. Up near its 500 lb weight limit, it doesn't handle that well and you need to stay on flat water. With a smaller load you can do more. It was great in the big waves of a class 2 rapid with just one 70 lb kid + 40 lbs of cargo and might even be able to handle some class 3. With that small of a load we were able to keep the floor drain open so that water that washed in could go back out. I don't think you could have a much heavier load before you'd need to keep it closed. It definitely needed to be closed with 500 lbs. <> Seat - The back support isn't too bad. The bottom pad is thin. You could improve it by sticking a soft seat cushion under it. <> Paddle - I wasn't a fan. I like flat blades, but to each their own. The included paddles work fine. The clamp might not last forever. We used a different kayak paddle on our 48 mile trip. <> Other random thoughts - 1) I'd like to have more tie down points. The only points are for the seats. 2) The paddle holders on the sides are nice for holding the paddles, but I might cut mine off because I bump my hands on them when paddling. 3) I drilled small holes in the tip of the plastic end caps at either end for draining so I can get all the water out by standing it up before deflating, or for drying by hanging it from my tree using a pulley. It does dry reasonably well on the ground as long as you pull the floor out, which is not a problem. 4) No comment on the pump. Unless a fitness guru and will only ever be inflating 1 boat, then you should buy an electric SUP pump.

Great buy!
We love these. We have been camping, fishing and done little day trips with these and they are always a hit with friends and family. I love that they are easy to load up and take out. The material is solid. It feels very safe on the water.

Great as dinghy when space is limited
This worked great as a dinghy on the back of a boat. We keep it inflated and lay on its side on the back of the swim platform when going to places where we'll need it. It's very well built and stable. It's efficient and cuts through in the water and stays on a straight track with those two fins. The whole Kayak deflates in 3 parts and can be put back in the storage back. Takes about 10 minutes to inflate and deploy again once you've done it a few times. It's much easier fold up and store on warm sunny days.

Great quality and function
We are very impressed with the quality of this item. The entire set up takes about 15 minutes (when initially starting with an electric pump). The put away is a bit more finicky unless you have a number of hours to dry out in the sun first. For a quick day outing we may sometimes think twice due to the clean up/drying time. But definitely perfect for a multi day outing. The kayak feels very sturdy and not tippy at all. Great for 2 large adults, seated comfortably. It holds air well, as we used it for 5 days and never had to top up the air. We were especially impressed with the ease of use, the speed we could go. Naturally it is wise to pay attention to wind speed, if especially gusty, before heading out on a larger body of water. It offered us a fantastic way to explore a river and lake and islands on a recent camping trip - a highlight of our time! Our order was missing the carry bag and one of the seats. Unfortunately the matching items were not able to be sent. But we were offered a refund in the amount we needed to get a new seat and carry bag, which we lined up within a couple days via other brand Amazon items available. We were satisfied with the prompt, attentive, friendly customer service provided. We would recommend this item to those looking for an inflatable kayak.

Good quality easy to inflate
Very easy to inflate. Feels sturdy. Is a bit heavy for one person to manage. I agree with another reviewer that the clips on the sides for the seat dig into your hips/legs and after awhile it hurts. I also found the paddle it came with was too short I kept hitting the sides of the kayak and getting my hand in the water so I purchased a different one on Amazon. Overall this kayak is good! I would purchase it again. Was a bit pricey ($499) but the quality seems to be really good. I’ve never had a kayak before so I don’t have anything to compare it to but I’m enjoying it with my two dogs so far. I just wish it was a little lighter to carry and the clips weren’t right where your hips are. The seat could be better but it does ok. For an inflatable it makes those of us who can’t store or transport a hardshell able to join in the fun. It’s nice to inflate/deflate and go anywhere with it. It’s very easy to set up. I would recommend this kayak!

Love at First Paddle!
The absolute best for solo camping or duo touring. The reviewer on here complaining doesn’t understand how the pump works— the ports have a button that will deflate, the pump doesn’t factor in. Solid and roomy. Yes, get your own paddle.

Super
Franchement contente! Bon achat selon moi!
