Very good hold.. holds natural hair very well. Great price, smells nice. No itching, no flakes and non greasy. Last for 2 to 3 days. Very nice product.

I have been a protective style woman for about five years now, tried every type of “edge control” under the sun made by man and “naturals”. Let me tell you, this edge control right here does exactly what it says!! Like Janet Jackson,”CONTROL”!! I work out twice a week and last week I looked like I had! Today was my first time using this after another therapist recommended it to me because I was so impressed by the way her edges “slayed”(I call her that by the way and she’s such a sweetheart and super nice). That being said, this edge control stays in place, doesn’t turn white, stays layed but soft (I kid you not), it doesn’t harden or flake whatsoever!! I tossed my others immediately! (Can’t name them), but none of them can “hold up”, to this one! I applied it this morning (a little goes a long way) no need to apply it heavily and it’s almost evening and it’s still working!! Ladies buy, but, buy!!!!! You will not regret it!!!!!

Update: I’m not changing my star rating because this stuff does what it claims. It will lay your hair down like nobody’s business. But it is heavy and it will leave a haze on your hair. I felt a little self conscious at work wondering if anybody noticed. It also leaves your hair very shiny which I’m not fan of… my final thoughts on it? Use it if really needed but in moderation. The strong smell is concerning. I also saw on the container where this is manufactured in Korea.I have very resistant and could hair. I guess it would be considered 4c but it has thinned out so much as I’ve gotten older that I think 4c is a little misleading. Thinner hair is a lot easier to control and deal with so I just want to make that disclaimer.This edge control definitely works. I would say it works better than the very popular brand that comes in a lot of variations … like extra hard, extra firm etc etc.I’ve learned to trick is to not manipulate the hair once it’s applied. Combing or brushing after application causes it to lift and not work as well. I used this at 8:30 this am and it’s 2pm. My hairline is still plastered down.Now, the drawbacks is it is gummy. I only use this when I’m close to wash day. I wouldn’t use this on my freshly washed hair. Also the scent isn’t great. It smells like a cheap men’s cologne. And the smell lingers. It’s been practically a full day since application, and I can still smell it.It’s on the shiny side but I just take a towel and try to lightly pat it to take some shine away.Overall, it does what it says. You won’t be disappointed with the hold. It really lasts all day. And I didn’t use a scarf or anything. Merely brushed my hair back into a ponytail. And then applied this around my hairline and went to work.

Hands down the best edge control I have used. The only issue to me is the smell. I think it could smell better, but it works and holds all day.

I was looking for an edge control that would work throughout the day and not break out my skin or break my edges. This is by far one of the best, if not the best, edge control I've purchased. It's only been a week, so I'll give it some more time and return with a more detailed review.

Second time purchasing this item. Great value and works better than other brands I’ve tried. It can be a little bit oily after a day or two. But it’s worth it!

This gel has been one of my favorite purchases this year. It's really good and doesn't flake in my hair at all. It holds really well and leaves no residue, making it a great choice!

Ok so I've used this product for a while now and I must say I'm disappointed. It's not flaky but it's ashy on the hair when it's dried. Like I paid this much for edge gel and it's still comes out ashy. I'm really disappointed.
