20 year old dryer and only Amazon had a replacement filter. Called GE and they said “no longer available”. I went to Amazon and this replacement not only fits perfectly, but also 1/2 the price of what GE once charged for the filter.

I think it fits many of GE’s dryers. This is the traditional style, with no window, and the controls at the back of the top. It has the wire mesh screen, which is concaved inward a bit, which causes it to fill up faster than the old one. I’ve been using it for about a month, and it is flattening out some with time. I replaced because the old one’s frame started to crack, and once it did, it cracked in several places, quickly. It had also yellowed. When I got this one, it’s bright white frame looks better with my white dryer. Frame fits well. There are some little guide pieces that help it snap snugly to the dryer. They often pop out of place, bowing the frame out slightly, from the opening on the dryer, when I remove the lint. But it pops right back into place with a slight push and stays snug during drying. Fits better than the original did, before it started cracking. Very happy with it. It shipped in a well fitted cardboard box with no damage and arrived quickly.

This fit my old dryer pretty good although the vent part was a little differently shaped but it traps the lint well.

this fits our 15 year old GE Gas dryer, be sure you look up the parts number for your dryer model# on google before you buy, it is a bit of a tight fit but it works and is so much cleaner than our old one. way cheaper than the GE parts website.

I gave this 4 stars not 5 because it's not a perfect tight fit and alitlle can get pass it but nothing like when there was a hole and the one I needed to replace. This fits my Fisher and PayPal dryer almost snug. So far so good 👍
